Guest evenflowDDT Posted April 1, 2003 Report Posted April 1, 2003 I deeply regret getting the "BAN PLZ" ball rolling. Okay, it was evenflow that started it, but then I said it repeatedly for a couple of days, and then Flyboy started it, and then...ugh. Actually, the phrase "ban plz" saw its first incarnation in current board history from Cataclysm911 in the A simple request thread. Although I was the first to use it in a comical context in The Person Above You, Flyboy was the first to use it in its "proper" BAN PLZ~! form in DOWNHOME FACT 4 DA DAY~!!!! and... oh... yes, I am killing time before class, why do you ask? Oh yea. I'm hardcore.
Guest Incandenza Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 No way. Flyboy got it from me. Anyway, (np) And, on deck--in honor of Kinetic's shiny new sexual orientation:

Guest Flyboy Posted April 17, 2003 Report Posted April 17, 2003 I plan to review it when I get some free time.
Guest Incandenza Posted April 19, 2003 Report Posted April 19, 2003 (np) The Arab Strap is borrowed; we got it in at the station, so I volunteered to review it. One listen down, and I'm not very impressed. The other three albums are thanks to a sizable tax refund. Yay!
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 Sigur Ros = chave marking out for me:

Guest Incandenza Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Did you actually get a copy of Entertainment, or is that burned/downloaded? I have a hell of a time finding one for anything less than $20. An import copy, $18.99 at a Virgin Megastore in Orlando. Oh god, it's worth every fucking penny. And, since, I'm here, please add what I just listened to: and what I am about to put on:
Guest saturnmark4life Posted July 16, 2003 Report Posted July 16, 2003 Inc, just out of interest, you don't rate English Settlement over Go 2 as well, do you? After listening to that piece of shit a loved one had to play 'Goggles' by Melvins ASAP because I had lapsed into a coma.
Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Posted July 18, 2003 Report Posted July 18, 2003 Row 1: Chris Cornell - Euphoria Morning Elvis Costello - My Aim Is True Elvis Costello - This Year's Model Row 2: Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde The Pixies - Come On, Pilgrim
Guest Incandenza Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 The ones without a title--both seen earlier in this thread--are Les Savy Fav's The Cat and the Cobra (really good stuff. RIYL Fugazi or the Pixies) and Jim O'Rourke's Eureka (which is also really good, but far less accessible). And sorry for the one huge image in the second row, but allmusic didn't have the proper cover.
