what if the talent walk?

Recommended Posts

Lets just say somethin happens and hey finally say screw it, we walk.

Some guys would come back, but Vince will hate anyone who does because they left . I think the indies would grow alot better.

I can only dream of Low-Ki Angle Daniels.

If any talent walked Vince would just find some new crappy wrestlers like Nathan Jones to replace then with.

In the classic shit section in my sig, which is composed of funny conversations that my friend has had over IM, I told him about the upcoming NYC transit strike.

I said "Hey man, did you hear about the strike?"

He goes "no"

"There's gonna be no more trains or buses after next week"

"Oh, I thought you were gonna say that the Raw roster's had it".

That shit had me DYING.

If they went on strike, WWE would end up suing the living hell out of them, then making a shitload of money, thus whoever did it never having a chance to ever be in the "big times" ever again. Some of the indies would take them, while others would look at them as a HUGE risk, and would simply leave them out in the free agent pool for the rest of their lives.

WWE would then use the money they have aquired to sign some new free agents that all of us want to be signed, and do not want to be signed. Guys like Goldberg, and then guys that are some Smark Favorites.

All the free agents out there before the strike would be more than willing to be signed, and would do so in a second.

Why would anyone walk out? Say, what you want, it's a job. You would have to be an idiot to walk out, cause you're not getting pushed. Except Stone Cold., but that's another story. If I was a WWE wrestler, I wouldn't walk out, unless, the checks stop clearing.

So for Stonecold it's ok? That makes no sense at all, as if he was a true company man he would have stuck to the program untill things got better.

I can't really see any of the talent walking, unless the product got so bad, and pissed a few guys off. If that happened, Vince would just fire them, and sign some new talent.

Downhome, I wasn't defending Stone Cold. Maybe I worded my answer wrong. However, iStone Cold is a different story, considering he walks out, but will probably come back, and into his top spot. If Spike Dudley did the same thing, he has no chance of ever being able to come back.

Many of the "under" guys on the roster are literally losing money while working for the WWE. This is similar to the stories that Mick Foley repeated from Shane Douglas and Chris Candido in 1995 where they would do a series of shows on the road and actually LOSE money by the time road expenses were tabulated.

Considering there is NO upward movement on the roster unless you're a hoss or Vince takes a special liking to you (which has nothing to do with talent or overness with the wrestlers or the crowd), morale has to be in the toilet. I'm sure if guys saw no alternative to it and actually had something else to fall back on, they'd leave and do it instead.

This kind of situation is why AJ Styles told the WWE where to stick their developmental deal, as he was making far more than the $25,000 they offered him by working indy shows, running a landscaping business on the side, and NOT having to move to or constantly fly to Kentucky in order to be at OVW.

More reasons why I mark heavily for AJ Styles...

To answer cynicalprofit's question: The hosses would be welcomed back with hugs, HHH would be on more, and TNA, CZW, XPW, 3PW, and the other indies would become loaded with big-name talent.
