Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted December 16, 2002 So how would you have booked it then? I always see people critisizing things, yet they don't come up with anything better themselves. Well, idealy, it should have begun six months ago. Instead of having Crips pull Angle's pants down all the time, he should have continued on his "path of rage" and been built up as a serious contender. The ankle locke would be built up, including the Hogan submision, but it would become a bragging right for Angle as opposed to being forgotten. The sacrifice to Undertaker should have been avoided, and the feud with Benoit should have occurred without the comedy nonsense that made a fool out of both. In short, none of the bugger that brought him to his current state of affairs. If you mean "how would you have booked tonight" I would have had Angle make short work of Show (establishing parity between he and Lesnar) only for Heyman and/or A-Train to get involved. Lesnar and Angle dispose of them, Show tries to get the advantage, Angle manages to grab victory from the jaws of defeat, and he and Lesnar share a stare-down. This isn't high-concept, but it certainly fits with what they're attempting better than tonight's nonsense. If you can't see that Show has been booked more dominantly, even with or without help, since he came to Smackdown, I don't know what else to say. Giving reasons to back up what you say would be the best place to start. When I said he's been on a roll for a few months, thats exactly what I meant......a few months.......since he came to Smackdown. He took out Taker, just one example I can think of...... And who did the Taker anialate? Yep, that's right. I also miss where Angle even did a high profile job to Undertaker, from what I recalled he actually beat him in a non-title match to add him to the Vengeance ppv match in July. Was that the "taker submits while pinning Angle" match? If so, it was extremely shaky and not really a concrete win. The match I'm refering to was the triple threat #1 contender's match with Benoit/Taker/Angle that saw both Chris and Kurt lock on their submisions at the same time, only for Taker to "fight through the pain" and defeat them both to get the shot at Lesnar. I just fail to see how Angle looks so horribly weak at this point when he's been protected quite a bit on Smackdown, not to mention getting clean wins over heels pretty regularly recently. Protected, as in, stuck with the same five wrestlers for the past three months? Beating Eddy and Chavo means next to nothing at this point, since they all done jobs to each other so many times that they all appear as equals. What other heels besides them has he gotten pins on? It's hard to see your point when you continue using blanket statements like "clean wins over heels pretty regularly recently" which gives me no indication as to when these wins actually happened or who they were against. Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted December 16, 2002 http://www.wwe.com/images/splash/1199395 That says it all. A big HHH picture with him holding the belt that takes up 3/4th of it with a small block showing Angle holding his belt.
Guest AfricanAmerican Report post Posted December 16, 2002 I just want to say that so far, this webcast has me impressed as hell. I may just start watching all of the "smaller" PPV's on here, and just ordering the major ones. I am seeing PERFECT picture quality, and PERFECT sound. Then to top it off, I can have it on the forefront of my screen, so I can do stuff like posting here, chatting, etc... while watching it. This would make a great advert for wwe webcasts. Your not working for them right? i love the webcast quality too... plus i can watch the thing for a whole month up until the day before royal rumble... before that comes, im gonna record this stream and save it.. like i did with Surv. Ser.

Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted December 16, 2002 Angle is Lesnar's bitch. He went and asked for his help to win on Smackdown...then needed it to take down the guy that Brock squashed at Survivor Series. Unless the storyline going in to Mania is Angle finally proving that he is better than Lesnar...the WWE has gone a long way to nowhere again. I hope for Angle to finally get a meaningful push as a main eventer, but it seems that the vanilla gorilla with a lisp will go over at Wrestlemania.
Guest notJames Report post Posted December 16, 2002 So here's the dilemna: Do I... go to my buddy's house to watch the monthly PPV with the gang as we have for 5 years (at a low low cost of $5), knowing it's going to suck the big one but made watchable because of our collective tooling of the program? ... or do I... stay at home to tape the Sunday Fox Trinity (Futurama/Simpsons/King of the Hill) since they're all new and I bitch and moan every month for missing them? I should have watched the Simpsons.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted December 16, 2002 It could be noted that Angle had Big Show already beat so he didn't need brocks help and therefore doesnt have to give brock a title shot. So brock has to win the rumble to get it. Of course, this makes Angle into a whiny bitch and we don't want that (but Vince probably does )
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted December 16, 2002 I can deffinately see them turning Angle heel despite never really turning him face. The only problem with that is that the Kurt/Brock match would seem even more mis-matched than it already is. That's never stopped them before, though.
