Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted December 17, 2002 - WWE Champion Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit. - WWE Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman vs. Eddie Guerrero. (Note: WWE.com only has "WWE Cruiserweight Champion" listed, with no name, but since Kidman is the champion, I will assume it his him.) - Edge vs. A-Train. - Dawn Marie will show more footage of what happened with Torrie Wilson in "room 357". Guest Brian Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Wow, Kidman doesn't even get his name mentioned, just the championship. Bet we get the SWERE~! with Guerreros and Benoit aligning.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Don't get too excited about Angle v. Benoit- it's probably gonna be an injury angle thing. And shouldn't this have a spoiler notice?
Guest Brian Report post Posted December 17, 2002 No, because you know what you're getting into when you read the title.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 17, 2002 But below it says Angle v. Benoit on Smackdown. It doesn't bother me though- what does is Edge v. A-Train II
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Wow, Kidman doesn't even get his name mentioned, just the championship. I guess that's what he gets for not liking the Torrie/Dawn Marie angle.
Guest Brian Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Ehh, most people don't mind the preview, it's the actual spoiler they have a problem with. I can edit it if there's someone who has a real problem with it.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted December 17, 2002 This isn't a spoiler, it's a preview of what's going to be on the show. Pretty soon someone will be complaining that WWE "spoiled" Smackdown because they announced Benoit vs. Angle at the top of the show rather than leaving it as a "surprise" main event... Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Another match between these two on free TV? Judging from the preview, it's the only thing worth watching, too. And note to the WWE: we've seen the lesbian stuff, it was a dissapointment, so why would we continue to hope for all-out porn when you wouldn't even show it on pay per view? Is there any way this angle can pay off that won't dissapoint the fans and hurt everyone involved? Good thing they killed off shock TV, or else this might get really bad. Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted December 17, 2002 Angle vs. Benoit on Smackdown? Sweet....I'll be watching for sure. Is it a non-title match?
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted December 17, 2002 But below it says Angle v. Benoit on Smackdown. It doesn't bother me though- what does is Edge v. A-Train II That isn't a Spoiler, that's a match listing. Plus, who WOULDN'T want to know that?
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted December 18, 2002 Fuck. I was hoping for Benoit/Angle @ Rumble.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted December 18, 2002 Dawn Marie will show more footage of what happened with Torrie Wilson in "room 357". Someone put an end to this angle!! Al Wilson gets more TV time the 9/10 of the CW division.
Guest TheyCallMeMark Report post Posted December 18, 2002 They wouldn't job Angle to get the title off him so that they can save Angle/Lesnar for WM and have Angle win, would they?
Guest GameCop Report post Posted December 18, 2002 HartFan -- Don't expect Benoit and Angle to actually wrestle. Benoit will probably injure Angle, so you know, Angle can go under the knife, come back, and avenge his injured body part at the Rumble. So, Benoit vs. Angle is still ON for the Rumble. Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted December 18, 2002 I'm looking forward to Kidman v. Eddy and Noble/Nunzio tomfoolery.
Guest BobBacklundRules Report post Posted December 18, 2002 Why would they do Angle/Benoit at the rumble when they just did it on Smackdown? Sure Angle would be out for revenge but I don't see it happening, I say Brock/Benoit at Rumble, Angle makes his return as a suprise entree in the smackdown rumble and gets the title shot at wrestlemania. B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2002 But if they do an injury angle, the WWF should just let Benoit pick apart Angle's leg Crippler style. No lame steel chairs or other crap.

Sure Angle would be out for revenge but I don't see it happening, I say Brock/Benoit at Rumble, Angle makes his return as a suprise entree in the smackdown rumble and gets the title shot at wrestlemania. Why have Benoit's first run with the title be such a blatantly transitional one? If they keep the title on Angle, he can hold it all the way to WM which makes it seem like a bigger match, and they don't have to deal with making Benoit the "middle man" in the fued (at least not with the title, anyway). Reverse the roles: Benoit wins in a non-title match, and then Angle gets his win back at the Rumble. Lesnar wins the Rumble, the fued builds from there. Sounds ok, at least in theory.
