Guest Black Tiger Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 After seeing some of his NJ stuff from this year, I'm getting very impressed with Gedo, I hadn't seen him since his 1997 WCW run. What would be a good starting point to seeing Gedo's improvement?
EL DANDY~! Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 I would start AFTER his ECW run (final one). I watched my Best of Japan 2001 tapes, and he was AWESOME. I mean, why were people putting him down? Because he beat Benoit in the Super J? Oh well...his 2001 stuff is great. If there is anything earlier...
Guest the 1inch punch Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 Dont go looking through Scott Keith's archives though, he HATES the guy
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 And for good reason too, as it was Gedo who eliminated the Jesus that is Chris Benoit in J-Cup 95.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 Keith renounced is Gedo hate when he reviewed the Best of Japan series.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 He didnt renounce Gedo Hate, he just toned it down because Gedo and Jadoh were acting like Mofo's
Guest Black Tiger Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 Any match suggestions I should look at. I know the Dome Quake show when Gedo/Jado won the belts, and their title match at the NJ September 2001 PPV, what else? I don' hate Gedo for eliminating Benoit, but I did think it was wrong. All the Gedo I've seen is his WCW run, and both J-Cups, nothing was really good, that's why I didn't like him.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 Gedo vs Jericho Halloween Havoc 97 is good stuff and his ECW work w/ Jado is reportedly good.
Guest RickyChosyu Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 I don't really have anything to contribute here, but that match with Jericho was terrible, from what I remember. Maybe those two could pull out something watchable in '95 but Havok was just worthless, aside from Jericho nearly killing himself on the botched rana. I've never despised him as a worker, but that's the last place I would point someone to see when he started "improving."
