It's not too late for home field advantage, though. The Giants are hot as hell right now and have plenty to play for. I'm a little less confident about the Jets ability to beat Green Bay, but they might not even have to. A Philly loss and two Tampa wins = Home field advantage for Tampa. Which also = No Super Bowl for Green Bay.

That must be a typo. You obviously meant Buccaneers v. Some other team.

Nope.

I love the Saints and the Bucs, but I know they neither of them will reach the Super Bowl.

Well if the 49ers are eliminated early in the postseason:

--Packers: No chance in hell that I will be rooting for them.

--Saints: Sorry Adam, no way.

--Buccaneers: Nope, though I want to see Sapp get that ring, so he can SHUT THE FUCK UP in the future and play the game...

--Eagles: Here's my horse. This team is SCARY good, and that's even without McNabb leading the charge.

Ouch. What happened to the Saints in that game? Did they use Deuce sparingly or something? I noticed that he did not do crap in that game. Did the Bengals actually...shut him down? Well, look on the bright side, if the Saints can beat good teams while losing to bad ones, maybe they will be fine in the playoffs.

Early Playoff Picture

credit: ESPN.com

Wild-card matchups

------------------------------------------------------------------------

AFC matchups

Indianapolis Colts at Miami Dolphins

New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers

First-round byes: Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

NFC matchups

Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco

New York Giants at Tampa Bay Bucs

First-round byes: Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

--The Eagles are the top seed based on a better NFC record than the Packers.

--The Giants are the final wild-card team over the Saints based on better record in common games. If in postseason play, the Saints will take Giant's spot and face the Buccaneers/Packers.

--With a Buccaneers win tomorrow night, they take the Packer's bye spot. Green Bay then faces New York (or New Orleans).

WOOOO!

Giants win + Titans win = Tennesse win the division, and should be at least the second seed in the AFC!

Next week, lets go Kansas City, somehow beat the Raiders in Oakland and give the Titans home field advantage.

Browns upsetting The Ravens earlier today + Tampa defeating Pittsburgh Monday Night + Browns knocking off Atlanta next week + Pittsburgh losing to Baltimore next week = A playoff birth for The Cleveland f'n Browns!!! Hey, it could happen.

Bullshit call. Green had posession.

I'm not watching NFL football anymore when they've already decided that the Packers will win the SuperBowl this year.

Fuck that call.

2 hands on the ball, 2 feet on the ground...THEN HE TURNED COMPLETELY AROUND TO RUN FORWARD BEFORE the ball was knocked out. Clements picks it up and runs in back 80 something yards for a TD and a 7-3 lead late in the game...

THEN THEY BLOW THE WISTLE!!!!!!!

Sorry, No replay for you. We'll just blow the call and fuck you in the ass at the 50.

I totally agree, bps. It'd be interesting to see what sort of record Green Bay would have if the officiating wasn't so biased. Not so much in today's game (with six turnovers, Buffalo really didn't present any evidence that they would have capitalized on that fumble anyway) but in the Minnesota game...I mean, fuck. But not even the officials could save them from Tampa at Raymond James, so whatever.

You should've seen the Browns game ref wise.

1. Sack on Couch. Why b/c the guy started running before the ball was even snapped and was right next to the offensive lineman.

2. A Browns player gets up and underhand tosses the ball to a Ravens player and the Ravens player hardly throws the ball in the guys face. So of course only the Browns player gets called instead of both guys.

3. INT called back on defensive interference when both were guilty of it.

And yes the Green call was horrible. He took a few steps with it and dropped it.

Clements would've gotten a touchdown off that fumble too.

It is my belief that the officiating crews have been more than fair at Packers games this year. </Blind Cheesehead>

Still, I love how the NFL has supposedly just decided to let the Packers win the Super Bowl.

EDIT: Also, why haven't accusations come up before this?

That's a good point about the touchdown, but Buffalo was playing far too sloppy to win that game. Still, it really makes me wonder when Green Bay is the beneficiary of all these shitty calls. It's not on a "Patriots win the Super Bowl the year of 9/11" or "Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins at Daytona" level of fixed, but it reeks of something.

Buffalo did shoot themselves in the foot.

But it was a crucial play of the game anyway.

I actually don't remember #1 but I might have been burying my face in my hands based on how shitty they were playing in the first half after the TD.

The one you forgot was when White didn't get the TD in the final minute. Last I heard, the football moving forward still counted as forward progress.

On #2, Campbell actually tossed the ball toward the Raven after the Raven was already talking trash and pointing at him. He got away with TWO on one call.

Thank God the Browns won it anyway.

GO BUCS!

Momentum change or not, The Bills would of lost 10-7 and anyone who sat through that game knows it. But yes, it was a bad call, no doubt.

As for The Browns, of the 3 BLOWN calls listed, the taunting call bothered me the most. It was as bad as advertised, if not, worse. The Brown did nothing to warrant it. He was being verbally jabbed and all he did was gently pitch the ball to him in responce. This followed by The Raven throwing the ball back in some sort of retaliation for The Brown shrugging off his verbal garbage.

Even though I knew the reason for the replay was just, I had visions of Cleveland / Jacksonville 2001 running through my head. I could just picture Couch fumbling the snap on the next play to cost them playoff hopes.

GO BROWNS nonetheless!!!

I'm interested in how you figure...since the PAckers only TD came immediatly after the blown call on that same drive.

"(with six turnovers, Buffalo really didn't present any evidence that they would have capitalized on that fumble anyway) "

Clements was past all the PAckers when they finally blew the whistle. He was in for 7 all the way...then they decided after he ran 70 yards that it wasn't a fumble.

The Bills deserved to lose that game with all the errors they made. But that should have been a TD.

They need to start blowing the whistle on the side of reviewable calls. If there is a scenario like that where if it is called a fumble it is reviewable but if its ruled not then it isnt is absurd. Either that or let it be reviewable just give the ball to whoever recovered at the spot of recovery.

Add the fact that they blew the whistle thirty yards later was ridiculous.

I don't care if they made a million turnovers...as long as the Packers weren't capatilizing on them.

The score was 3-0 and should have been 7-3 Bills with 7 minutes left. At that point every error the Bills made all game didn't matter, all the would matter is the next 7 minutes. Bledsoe wasn't the only QB that could do nothing in that game.
