I wantchu guys pick three of who's WWE's best talent that's wasted so horibbly or is barley seen. I know recently there's been an upscale of that list , but give your top three of the list and why .

Lance Storm

1) Rob Van Dam: He's over, for most people he has exciting moves...in 2001 he was more cheered than most faces. Yet he never got a World Title. Big waste to me.

 

2) The Hurricane: Like RVD...he's over. Maybe not as much, but he's over. He has a marketable gimmick...he's a GREAT worker...and he could have been a great middle card wrestler. Yet he's regulated to lower card at best.

 

3) Matt Hardy: GREAT heel worker...showing that he's much better than his brother in the ring. He could be one of the best mid-card heels...yet his big chance was wasted on the A-Train.

RVD - Like everyone this whole year has been saying. One of the most over men in the company, a good, orginal wrestler.

 

D'Lo Brown - He is getting a push now, but I wish it was a different gimmick.

 

Matt Hardy - If he go A-Crap's spot, then I wouldn't be saying this.

Lance Storm hasn't impressed me at all since he was in WCW (the real one).

1) Raven - Only NOW is he starting to get a push. For a while, he was on Heat doing....basically nothing.

 

2) Stevie Richards - Same with Raven..he's only now getting a push as Victoria's bitch. Actually...I like the role. Hey, whatever gets Stevie more air-time...

 

3)Jeff Hardy - Talk about a waste of talent. He USED to be something....but, for some reason, the WWE decided to job him out or put him in useless angles with 'Taker or Big Show. No wonder he's no longer motivated.

 

Hmmmm... Jeff, Stevie, and Raven. Add Victoria as a Manager/Valet....FLOCK '03, BABY!!

 

If you wondering why Jeff is in there....it's mainly the look I'm thinking about. Kinda Gothy... plus, if he's used PROPERLY in a tag match, hey, all the better....Plus, it could give him something to DO!

Well, going by talent instead of overness, I'd say these three:

 

1) Chavo Guerrero, Jr.- Quite possibly one of the best heels on the roster not named Eddy Guerrero and he can even carry Kidman's worthless ass to a good match.

 

2) Jamie Noble- The guy was hitting a real bitchin' groove til he jobbed the CW Title to the Charismaless Midget(I really, REALLY don't like Kidman, obviously).

 

3) Eddy Guerrero- Best heel on the entire roster, yet he's stuck in the non-existant tag division of Smackdown. Get thee a singles push, STAT!

1. Ricky Steamboat: Job him to the Honkey Tonk Man and bring him back as a comedy jobber. Niiiiiiice one Vince.

 

2. Mr. Perfect: Could have been the WWF's answer to Ric Flair. Thanks, Hulk!

 

3. Owen Hart/Vader/Mick Foley/Bob Backlund/Shane Douglas/Rob Van Dam: Kids, THIS is why the Clique is evil.

Raven: Maybe he's been slipping in the 'being in shape' department a bit recently, but how does that explain his lack of push since he got to the WWF?

 

Jerry Lynn: they debuted him on Heat, gave him some Raw matches, dumped him on Shotgun/Metal and fired him.

 

Steamboat: Same reason as someone above mentioned

 

RVD: Should be a main eventer instead of curtain jerker/job bitch to 3H

Anyway...another misused talent...from back in the day. Marty Janetty (or is it Jannetty?).

 

He could EASILY have been what they made Shawn Michaels...but either by WWF's choice or by his self abuse...he never was.

Well, YOU'RE the one that brought up slash, not me...Since I'm the slash supporter 'round here, I just HAD to respond.

1. Raven - a monumental waste of talent, what they have done with Raven since he came in. With the current short-matches and promo-driven format of the TV shows, the sky would've been the limit for Raven. One of the all-time WTF are they doing? cases

2. Tajiri - have we forgotten how good he can be? He could've been way over as a face, (hell he was) and then could've been way over as a heel when they turned him, but they jobbed him mercilessly until he lost all his heat in both cases.

3. Ric Flair - he has been used terribly since he was brought in. The stint as the Raw owner was OK, until the stuff with Austin and then the heel turn. It was such a lame duck role to begin with though. Then he turned back to face and became a wrestler. His wrestling quite frankly was terrible, and worst of all he got almost no mic time during this run! All wrestling, no talking, that's exactly the OPPOSITE of how Flair should be used at this point in his career. Then he turned back heel and joined with HHH. (did I miss something in between there? Seems like there's a time gap). Anyway the alliance with HHH seems like a killer idea on paper, but it doesn't quite work. There's not enough mic time for Flair in general, but the real problem is that it's quite clear that in the Flair/HHH relationship, Flair is in no way the leader. For Flair to really flex his wings in a manager role, he needs to be a clear leader and not just a peer. I think that "Team Package" in WCW never really set the world on fire for the same reason. His tutoring of Batista is a step in the right direction. We still need to know more about why Flair took him under his wing, and more of the interplay between them.

 

 

And that brings me to my honorable mention, Batista. I've never seen it, but I've heard that this guy had a great gimmick in OVW as Leviathan and that he did very well for himself (he was more successful than Brock Lesnar in OVW). He is still green as a wrestler but I love his look. He's one of the few guys that has such a good look that I even talk about his 'look' at all. But WWE thinking they know better, eliminated his gimmick and instead is going with Batista as yet another "no personality, physically unstoppable monster who grunts a lot". This sucks especially because they already have Brock Lesnar, A-Train, Bill DeMott, and to a lesser extent Big Show in this role, not to mention Goldberg soon (probably). If he's a heel, please give us SOME reason to hate this guy. Beating people clean with a powebomb in two minutes isn't going to cut it.

Jerry Lynn was the kind of guy who could have been the staple for the cruiser division. But WWE pretends they don't have one so they wasted him.

 

Ricky Steamboat had the misfortune of being great during the Hogan era.

 

RVD. He's not good. But until the WWE proves that they can in fact get someoneas over as he was when he arrived it'll still go down as blowing it.

I would kinda give it to Tajiri but He has the tendence to react a lil too early in the ring like with bumps. It's as if he's scared ( I mean he's ECW alumni for godsake) Have you ever seen him take a frog splash ?!

I'M not the one bringing up all these slashy moments....so, noone can blame me if I reply....

 

That was probably the single MOST slashy moment of this year. And Raven didn't really beat on Matt....he just sorta held him down in an interesting position and laughed at the beating Jeffy was getting.

I couldn't see it because, well, first of all I DON'T LOOK for these things (hard as it is to believe, I know) and secondly because I had Hardy Fangirls behind me. Specifically, I had Matt Hardy Fangirls (At Jeff entrance they shouted "Cmon Jeff! Bring out your sexy brother!") and they were acting like the world was coming to an end because Matt just got squashed by Taker ("Oh poor baby" one of them chucked as he got tossed into the ropes.)

 

Either way, it was hard to pay attention to anything for all the commotion right behind us. I wonder what those girls are doing now that Matt turned heel?

Chavo Guerrero - Surprised the hell out of me a few weeks back when he had a singles match against Edge. It's a shame that match was so short, because Chavo was friggin' gold, and it was totally unexpected from me.

 

The Hurricane - I'm really ticked about Hurricane, because his character is SO EASY! A little mic time as Gregory Helms, ACE!... reporter, or as The Hurricane, to make jokes and pose like a maniac, then actually let him hit the Chokeslam and oh... I dunno... WIN.

 

Matt Hardy - Goes from being wholly unspectacular to one of the coolest heels EVER~!, and a few weeks later he's on Velocity doing absolutely nothing. It's criminal, I tells ya.

Matt Hardy - Just got SD! and was watching for him (part of it) and now hes reduced to Velocity... BAH Vince! Another reason to not watch..

 

The Guerraros - Talent that is pushed aside for HOSSES...

Not only crime against Matt, a crime against the entire WWE. You have a guy who gives himself a complete overhaul, new gimmick, new attitude, and uses this to really start getting over. Then when the time comes up to push him to the next level, pull the rug out from under him and give that spot to the A-hole. Great message to send to the talent, work your ass off to develop an entirely new character and we'll give the spot to the guy who has put forth the supreme effort of changing from pants to tights for his character development.

 

Tajiri - fans pop for the green mist, take it away from him. Fans pop for the tarantula, never put him in a no-dq match where he can hold it for longer than 3 seconds. He can't talk, put him with another non-speaking piece of eye candy rather than a mouthpiece that would compliment him.

 

Sean O'Haire - not much to say about him except that they take away his top rope moves (the Seanton Bomb was awesome even if it had no real impact) and give his push to the homegrown wastleland of Albert/Bradshaw/Test/Show. He may have wasted that time just as badly as the wastleland, but it would be nice to see a fresh young talent doing it.
