Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted December 26, 2002 Wow. That's gotta suck. As for me, I arranged my schedule so I have both Mondays and Fridays off. True, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thurdays are packed as hell, but I get a nice four-day weekend.

Guest Incandenza Report post Posted December 27, 2002 I love my spring schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays 12pm Sociological Theory 1:30pm Truth & Reconciliation (a class on apartheid, being taught by Nobel Prize-winnin' Desmond friggin' Tutu) 3pm Shakespeare (Wednesdays only) 6pm Sociological Human Interaction Like Sandman, I work at my school's radio station, but, unlike Sandman, I'm not getting paid. The only time I have to be there is to do my shows, as well as attend the Sunday meeting held every other week.
Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted December 27, 2002 I don't get paid to do radio shows, I'm on the Executive Board as the Internet Director (despite my none-to-limited knowledge of HTML. Benefits to be the only one applying for a job.) That's why I'm getting money. I do the shows because I like to, and it's something I don't suck at.
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted December 27, 2002 Yeah, I knew you had an officer position. I just happen to not be one.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted December 27, 2002 You don't get to pick your schedule at your school bob? My schedule for next quarter is: Monday/Wednesday/Friday Holocaust - 9:30AM-10:40AM, 7:00PM-9:00PM (Wednesday) Writing 1: Composition & Rhetoric - 11:00AM-12:10PM Tuesday/Thursday The Stars - 2:00PM-3:45PM ???? Communist Manifesto I'm really interested in this class, but if they don't tell me when it is and where it meets within the next week (classes start again Jan. 3rd, I move back in Jan. 2nd) I'm going to drop the class, particularly since it's only worth 1 credit and isn't going towards any G.E.'s or anything like my other classes. Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted December 27, 2002 I got an ok schedule, not as great as last semester's 2 days a week schedule tho. Public Speaking-- Monday, Wednesday, Friday (10:00-11:00) Hardware Installation/Maitenance-- Monday, Wednesday (12:00-2:15) Data Communications/Networking-- Tuesdays, Thursdays (1:10-2:55) Intro to the Internet-- Tuesdays (10:20-12:05) Thursdays (10:20-12:55) The good thing is that this semester I don't have to go in so early, thus cutting down on many of my absences that was the result of over sleeping. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted December 27, 2002 Hmm. Makes me wish I was still in school.. Of course, I had classes from 6:45 am to 1:45 pm, and a couple that were from 4:15 pm to 11:15 pm. Neither of those times were very convienient or enjoyable. Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted December 27, 2002 I like my schedule this semester. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 10:30 - 11:20 - Canada Since Confederation, 1867-1968 - this class should be boring. I just hope I will not have to use microfilm like I did when I took the course that lead into this one. 12:30 - 1:20 - Issues in World Politics - useless class for me, but I needed to take something to get a full schedule, and the course description sounds awesome. I love Political Science. Tuesday & Thursday: 11:30 - 12:50 - Europe 1815 - Present - should be painfully boring. I hate European history from Napoleon to World War I, but it is a first year course that I have to take to complete my degree, so I will just live it. It should not be that challenging. 2:30 - 3:50 - Reformation - should be fun. The teacher seems to like me after I was able to do a speech on Cosimo De Medici sound excellent. I hope it transfers to this class.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted December 28, 2002 that's gotta suck, bob. but you're a freshman, right? you're supposed to have a hard, shitty schedule.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted December 29, 2002 Hey, me and Flow move back in and start at the same time. Is this your spring semester, or a separate winter one like I've got for a month? Actually I'm on the quarter system, so that's Winter 2003 for me and then Spring 2003 starts after spring break. I have no idea when that is, but if it even remotely implies that I have finals on my birthday... forget it. I have real classes this time, no "final presentations" theatre arts stuff. Ain't no way I'm cramming on my birthday man, I'll tell you that. but you're a freshman, right? you're supposed to have a hard, shitty schedule. Oops.
