Greatest video game character tournament

Yup, I saw something similar to this on gamefaqs awhile ago and I’d thought I’d do my take on this.

 

Basically suggest 5 or less video game characters that you would like to see in the tourney. (no more than 5, otherwise I’ll just read your top five and ignore the rest) Please try and suggest characters that have not been already mentioned. Also if the character you mention is not well known, please mention the game of origin.

 

Suggestions end…lets say this time next week? Then we start the tourney.

Woof, this isn't gonna be pretty. I don't think at least half those characters should be near any "best ever" list, and I bet everyone else feels the same way, except with a different list of winners & losers.

 

That being said, I'm kinda surprised nobody has nominated Dracula or any Belmonts yet.

How about Squall's Gunblade? I thought that was pretty damn swank. Oh we have to nominate characters, don't we?

 

I'm out of ideas, so I'm just going to nominate the whole King of Fighters lineup sans Lucky Glauber, Heavy D!, and Brian Battler, Billy Kane, and Clark.

Sephiroth (FF VII), he should get his own Final Fantasy spinoff. I always wanted to play the bad guy in a FF game and he's my favourite video game heel ever. When I got to play him for the short time in FFVII and just killed that big dragon dead I marked out like crazy. His death was awesome, too.

Sonic the Hedgehog (Sonic series), he's cooler than Mario in every way and I wanted to include one platform hero.
