Great... ok... good god... pure cheese

It appears that LOTR will escape any kind of cheese in the "sequels". Thankfully. Jackson has said that Return of the King is his favorite of the three.

Well LOTR is basically one 9 hour movie so that removes any chance that the "sequels" will be a step down from the previous movie.

From Dusk Till Dawn.

#1 with Clooney, Tarrantino, Kietel, and Lewis was great.

#2 sucked much ass

#3 was pretty ok but nowhere near the first as far as the story or creativity.

Bond has had some great (Goldfinger, Goldeneye), mostly good, and some really bad (A View to a Kill, Moonraker). I didn't really like Die Another Day, it was too over-the-top-action for a Bond film.

Rocky was holding on pretty well until 5, tanked it.

Rambo got progressively worse, but I still like all 3.

Indiana Jones was good all the way through.

BTTF 1 was great, 2 was ok, and 3 was good.

Scream 1 was great, 2 was good, and 3 was bad.

Godfather 1 and 2 were great and 3 was not so good. Pacino went to his over-the-top acting that didn't suit the character and Copala's daughter was just fucking terrible.

All the horror movies (Freddy, Jason, Myers) are the same to me. I just don't lie them.

The Jack Ryan series (Hunt for Red OCtober, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, and Sum of All Fears) has been very good although I hate Baldwin and Affleck, I love Ford.

Superman 1 was great, 2 was pretty decent, 3 and 4 sucked donkey wangers.

Batman 1-3 were good, 4 was offesnsively bad.

The Hannibal movies have gotten really stupid as they've gone on. Silence of the Lambs was really good, Hannibal was gory, not good, and Red Dragon was stupid, watch Manhunter instead. Hannibal became a very violent cartoon character as the movies went on.

I can't think of anymore.

The main problem I had with the BTTF movies is the crazy length of time between the first and 2nd movies (1985 to 89). In those 4 years I just didn't give a crap anymore. The first movie is fine and stands on its own, and I always kinda took the silly ending as a punchline of sorts.

I think ROTK will be the most successful of the LOTR movies. It's the big payoff to all the stuff we've been waiting for. I just hope that everything goes well. I haven't read the book so I am baffled as to whether we will see Sauron at last. I think it would suck if we didn't since Christopher Lee has had to carry the heel heat for BOTH of them so far.
