The 2003 Smark Royal Rumble Sign-Up Thread

OK, so here's my idea for the rules:

 

1. The first 29 people to respond to this thread are in the match (because I want to be in it too).

 

2. I'll draw the numbers from a bucket full of numbers 1-30 I've had since i was 7 and had Rumbles with Ninja Turtles.

 

3. I'll PM you with your number.

 

4. At 7:00 PM EST (according to the board) on January 6, the two people who drew #s 1 and 2 will begin the match 'battle royal' style.

 

5. Then, at 7:02 EST (according to the board), entrant #3 enters, and all others will enter in order every four minutes thereafter. The last person standing after all 30 Smarks have entered will be declared the winner!

 

6. For obvious reasons, you can't eliminate someone with your first post in the match-that's just cheap.

 

7. P.S. Play fair! Don't no-sell everything or kill your opponents!

I thought for a second we were going to have a big mass debate on one subject, with people slowly been deducted.

 

I mean, really, all you have to do is gather 30 Smarks, and drop some conversation stater like "I think Hulk Hogan was more entertaining than Ric Flair, what say you?" and DOWN THE STRETCH THEY GOOOO....

Interesting, but could you explain to me how you eliminate people from the debate? I'm not sure I understand.

I don't really remember what year we did this in or if it was ever on this board, but anyway 30 people sign up. Everyone was matched with a number from 1 to 30. The way you won was if your number matched the entry number of the winner of the Rumble. It required no effort, which is why I liked it.

Wait...How are we doing this? Is it simple like...Slickerster draws a # for all of us...and hypotheictally, Choken is given #16 and #16 wins the Rumble...Choken wins the thing or what?

 

Because it's confusing...do we do this DURING the rumble or what? WHo decides who eliminates whom?
