Guest Mole Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 If Taker comes back, I will only like him if he does one thing. Do his job, by actually jobbing to people. I am sure he will get a few wins at first, but he should totally loose at WrestleMania, to pass the torch to someone else who has winning record at WM. Who else has a winning record at WM?
Guest geniusMoment Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Undertaker deserves one last run and I feel he probably wants it to be as the old school taker. I however would rather see him take a quick exit like foley did, have a couple of matches that you lose, hopefully to an up and coming superstar. (No A trains,HHH's,or big shows need apply)
Guest RedJed Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 This is probably a good idea since I never liked the BadAss Taker at all anyway, and it was always much easier to convince Taker to put over talent in the deadman gimmick for some reason.
Guest ARazz Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Who is the fake Undertaker? I saw the Undertaker vs Undertaker clip again and i thought it could be kane. Thats why he has to wear a mask. What do you think?
Guest geniusMoment Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Brian lee played the fake taker. He also was in the triple threat and played chainz in doa.
Guest AndrewTS Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 I completely agree, TS. He's fought almost everyone from Hogan to Jeff Hardy, Kurty to Brocky. Although, and I may be the only one in this, I will miss him when he retires. Especially considering I'm just starting out as a fan, and I can only relive those Phenom moments through clips and videos. He should at least become a trainer....or perhaps a manager? Eh...I don't know of much he could teach as a trainer. And...as a manager? Not only would he overshadow anyone he managed, but he'd likely be taller than that person too. And we saw him manage the Big Show already, and that sucked..a LOT; the carrying a motorbike through the desert in snakeskin boots promo ring a bell? Thank goodness for Y2J. Oddly, at that point he had already started using his current gimmick, but when he vanished for a little bit due to some bullshit with the bookers I believe, when he came back they acted like it was a completely new gimmick.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 wait, Taker is back to the deadman gimmick and Raven is back on Raw?! This can only mean one thing...RETURN OF THE FLOCK! OMG2002!!!
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Silly Ravenbomb, it actually signals the return of the FOUR HORSEMEN OMG~!!?!?! And then Flair will win the title and Arn will be magically healed and everyone will live happily ever after.
Guest Choken One Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 I am not certain if the return of the deadman is good in the long run, If this turns to another Hogan nostalgia thing, It'll fail. He'll return at the Rumble, finish his program with Show at NWO and finish his WMstreak 11-0 beating Beniot and retire at his signature PPV "Judgement Day".
Guest DarthLordOfWrestling Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 I really hope that he'll come back with The Dead Man gimic. That would be ausome.
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 Interesting.... When you click on "undertaker.com" under the Superstars menu on WWE.com, it goes straight to his SD profile. Not only that, but UT now hails from "Death Valley" instead of "Houston, TX". Just figured I'd pass that along...
Guest Mole Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 Well thanks to Yuna's research, I think it is safe to saw he is coming back as the DeadMan.
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 Can't exactly call it research, since I went to LoP out of boredom.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 Does a return of the DeadMan mean the return of the Tombstone?
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 I think the Tombstone would all depend on what condition Undertaker's knees are in. Just my opinion, anyway.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 I think the Tombstone would all depend on what condition Undertaker's knees are in. Just my opinion, anyway. Not really, since the Tombstone ended with the guys head 6 inches off the ground anyway.
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 Still, the impact would be on Undertaker's knees. Unless he wore a bah gawd knee-brace...hell, then he'd be in fashion with the other main-eventers.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 Still, the impact would be on Undertaker's knees. Unless he wore a bah gawd knee-brace...hell, then he'd be in fashion with the other main-eventers. I'm pretty sure he's hanging them up at Wrestlemania. He always said that a return to the DeadMan would mean his retirement was around the corner.
Secret Agent Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 I thought he stopped Tombstoning folks because the WWE outlawed piledrivers. Maybe we can get a return of the Kane that kicked ass as well to go along with the Deadman.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 He would he put over in the end? We'd all love to see Jericho or whoever get their big win that would elevate them to the top, but we all know the person will be a dissapointment. He should have his last match in a HIAC. I think that would tie a lot of things together to end his career.
ChrisMWaters Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 If the Undertaker does return to the Darkside look, he could easilly hide a knee brace in his attire. I hope he does wear them, so he can bring back the TRUE finisher of the brothers of destruction...TOMBSTONE! BAH GAWD THE TOMBSTONE!
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 Hopefully he's lost some weight since we last saw him. Because, if I'm not mistaken, the old Taker's attire was tights, right? I know during the Ministry days he had that robe.
Guest Downhome Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 I'd like to see a Hell In The Cell Casket match.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 To the above query: The original Undertaker outfit was a torn-up shirt, a grey tie, and black pants. And a hat. Basically, he looked like an undertaker from the Wild West, and thus the gimmick was cool. It wasn't until around 1994 when he starting gaining supernatural powers, and then 1996 when they started really fucking with his costume and music and giving him tight shiny leather and weird guitar remixes.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 But you know Czech, I think we can all agree that the instrumental he had in 99 kicked 27 different types of ass.
