Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 So I was wondering what everyone thought was the most brutal thing they've seen done in wrestling? I'm not talking about a wrestling move, I'm talking about 2 guys brawling and then one doing something that if you saw it in a street fight you'd call the cops b/c someone just got killed! I'd have to say the most brutal things I've seen are usually done by Steve Austin. I mean when the guy brawled it looked like he was stiffing the hell out of his opponents. But the single worst thing I've seen him do is when he set Dude Love up on the rail at Over the Edge 98 and then clotheslined him right back onto his head on the concrete. Another time that's a runner up was on RAW when he was fighting Mankind and he just start stomping him and Foley tried to roll away but Steve kept stomping him behind him. So what does everyone else think is the most brutal thing you've seen? I've never seen them but I heard early Horseman beatings were brutal.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Kurt Angle attempting, then accomplishing, belly to bellying Shane-O-Mac through the plexiglass windows at KotR 2001.
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Kurt Angle attempting, then accomplishing, belly to bellying Shane-O-Mac through the plexiglass windows at KotR 2001. No question. That's assult/attempted murder everything else all in one. That will always live up as one of the craziest matches ever.
Guest razazteca Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Dusty Rhodes beating the shit out of Tully with a baseball bat Curt Henning slamming cage door on Flair Buff Killer by the Steiner Brothers Suplex to Piledriver move Jericho did to Juvi Flair or Benoit making opponets chest into ground beef with the WOOOOOOOOOOO chops Terry Funk branding people with the flaming iron
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Oh yes how could I forget that. Another moment that made me cringe was when Big Show threw Foley off of the stage in the buried alive match on SD! Foley hit the dirt and bounced into the grave. I'm sorry but if I saw somebody tossed like that in real life I'd walk away quietly and pretend I was never there.
Guest Downhome Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 I remember the Raven/Kanyon move they did that almost killed one of the Villano's was pretty harsh. The Flair/Henning cage thing is not only one of the most brutal moments, but also the moment that pissed me off more than ANY OTHER MOMENT... ...damn Henning!
Guest Downhome Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Oh, sorry, I didn't read the part that said you don't mean moves, I'll move along now then.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Cactus/Vader from Halloween Havoc 93. Just WATCHING Vader stiff the ever-loving shit out of Foley and seeing his eyebrow busted down to the bone almost made me piss myself.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Well Downhome you got one of them right though. I don't believe that was a greco-roman head slam.
Guest Mole Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Par none, Kurt fucking up throwing Shane threw the glass. I remember when they had that match on last year for best of 2001 show. I put it on at the New Year's Party, and made sure to show everyone that match. All of them there were non-wrestling fans, and they all were in amazment of those head drops.

I'm sorry but if I saw somebody tossed like that in real life I'd walk away quietly and pretend I was never there. I have that on tape.....that's fucking SICK!
Guest Downhome Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Well Downhome you got one of them right though. I don't believe that was a greco-roman head slam. What are you talking about?
Guest Army Eye Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 One other good Austin one, in the Edmonton Smackdown! match with Benoit.. Austin gives Benoit TWO vicious, stiff front suplexes onto the EDGE of the announce table.. how he didn't break all of Benoit's ribs is beyond me.
Guest razazteca Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Tony Mamamamluke screwing up a dive to outside and getting his head stuck under the guard rail in ECW, also in the same match, I think it was Tony's 1st one in ECW, Mikey Whipwreck gave him one hella of a double underhook DDT move..........I think Tony lost several brain cells on that evening. I seen some indy guys play with fire and had trouble putting it out
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Well Downhome you got one of them right though. I don't believe that was a greco-roman head slam. What are you talking about? You said a wrestling move then you made mention of the Flair/Henning cage door incident. Then you posted saying you were moving on b/c you didn't read the part about moves. That's why I said you got one right b/c the head slammed in the door wasn't a wrestling move.
Guest Anglesault Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Undertaker breaking the bat over Big Show's head. Yeah, it was afake bat, But DAMN did that look good.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Tony Mamamamluke screwing up a dive to outside and getting his head stuck under the guard rail in ECW, also in the same match, I think it was Tony's 1st one in ECW, Mikey Whipwreck gave him one hella of a double underhook DDT move..........I think Tony lost several brain cells on that evening. WHOO! I was 2nd row for that one, baby! One of my 3 ECW Toledo road trips...I thought he had broken something. That was sick
Guest snuffbox Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 I think ill have to vote for Spring Stampede 94(i think thats when it happened) with the Payne/Cactus - Nasty Boys street fight. Cactus got tossed off the ramp and landed on his back/back of his head on the concrete. That was fairly sick! It seems Mick Foley is prolly in, at or near the top, of most anybodys list of sickest thing in a wrestling match.
Guest Army Eye Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Undertaker breaking the bat over Big Show's head. Yeah, it was afake bat, But DAMN did that look good. Oh man, that was a SICK spot. Absolutely. Totally surprising too. Up to that point, pretty much all bat shots in wrestling were 'I'll bap you in the back with my wifflebat'.
Guest gwf0704 Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Magnum TA slicing up Tully Blanchard in their cage match. Terry Funk/Sabu barbed wire around the ring match. Undertaker throwing Foley off the Hell In A Cell. Royal Rumble IQUIT match where Rock is smashing Foley in the head with a steel chair over and over.
Guest razazteca Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Cactus Jack throwing Wing Kanemura into a barbwire net outside the ring, from FMW deathmatches with thumbtacks just look sick
Guest Anglesault Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Undertaker breaking the bat over Big Show's head. Yeah, it was afake bat, But DAMN did that look good. Oh man, that was a SICK spot. Absolutely. Totally surprising too. Up to that point, pretty much all bat shots in wrestling were 'I'll bap you in the back with my wifflebat'. I remember sitting there, and watching him walking into the ring thinking "Oh this is stupid, he's just going to hit his back or something." And then he reared back for the head shot, and I'm thinking "Big Show will duck, and taker will frop the ba....HOLY FUCK!"
Guest Coffey Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 So what does everyone else think is the most brutal thing you've seen? Sid fucking up his leg off the second rope in WCW.
Guest razazteca Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 a luchadore tried doing a running Ernest Miller kick off the ropes and broke his ankle in AAA it was just as sick as the SID kick
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Sabu...ECW fancam show There's a table in the middle of the ring, the legs are set in place, but the table is upside down, legs straight up in the air. Sabu goes to do a triple jump ,moonsault on Sandman, even though the table is where it is... Sabu hits the leg mouth first! the leg actually hits the roof of his mouth, you lead a loud THUMP when it hits. Sandman: "You ok?" Sabu: "No." *rolls out of the ring* Rolls out of the ring for a couple minutes, then gets back in for the finish.
Guest razazteca Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 but Athletic tape can cure everything for Sabu, its like he has MacGuyver powers with it.
Guest geniusMoment Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Sabu tearing his bicep open during his barbwire match with the funker, made even better because he taped the damn thing up and kept going. Kulas getting sliced open from ear to ear, I wish they would have released that in full, my friend has the tape but they pulled it off the market I think. Seriously if you don't pick this incident I bet its because you didn't see it, the blood was gushing out of Kulas, they didn't have enough towels to wipe up the blood so they brought in wrestling tee shirts to do the job. Best part, the fans still called him a fat fuck on his way out, gotta love ecw.
ChrisMWaters Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Brutal as in deadly looking: I would have to say the Fire Chair spot that was botched in ECW. Brutal to watch: Mae Young, Royal Rumble 2000.
Zetterberg is God Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 At Living Dangerously 2000, when Vic Grimes and New Jack fucked up a scaffold spot and Grimes landed on New Jack's head. That was such a sick bump.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 For sheer enjoyment, Mike Foley getting chokeslammed through the cell @ KOTR 1998. Yeah, the match wasn't a technically sound classic, but it was like "I can't believe what I just saw, so I'm going to watch it again" As far as just plain brutal: -Bart Gunn getting knocked out by Fatbean -Rocky going crazy with chairshots at Rumble 99 -Jim Cornette's scaffold fall -Hogan getting dragged by Undertaker's motorcycle.
