Guest Sassquatch Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 ...ass kicking the Hawkeyes took. I thought the game would be closer than 38-17 but I guess I was wrong. Congratulations to USC along with Carson Palmer who will hopefully not end up on the Godfuckingawful Bungles next year.
EL DANDY~! Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 "With the first pick in the 2003 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select Carson Palmer out of the University of Southern California." "With the eight pick in the 2003 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select Brad Banks out of the University of Iowa." From the top to the bottom, and from second to the top, to improving a team that needs a quarterback. Sometimes, being the loser means being a winner. Banks earned his Redskins jersey tonight. Palmer is gonna be just like Akili Smith...
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 I was astounded at the ass-kicking the Hawkeyes took. It looks like all the debate over whether OSU/Miami was really the best game for the championship is null. Iowa hadn't played in a month and a half, and it sort of showed tonight. I hope tomorrow night's game is a bit closer. None of the BCS games have been remotely contested thus far. Final thought: Virginia Cavaliers in '03, baby...
EL DANDY~! Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 You know what's funny about that Edwin, they can be up there in the BCS rankings, especially after their showing this year. I mean, they did VERY well in the bowl game...
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Yeah. If they're going to do well, next year's the year. They'll still have Schaub as an anchor, and all the really great freshmen will still be around, along with another #12 recruiting class. Al Groh is a recruiting God, and I want to hug him for how he's turned my team around.
Rob E Dangerously Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 Are you sure that the Redskins aren't waiting to draft Rex Grossman? Don't forget the Arizona Cardinals. I think they're in the market for a QB and they have a higher pick than Washington Leftwich - Chicago Banks or Ken Dorsey - Arizona
