WWE Smackdown 5/1/03

WWE World Tag Team Titles:The Hurricane and The Big Show vs Team Angle©(w/Paul Heyman)

Highlights:Talk about your mish-mash of styles. You have the technical wrestling of Team Angle, the high flying of the Hurricane and the hossness of the Big Show. Hurricane played Ricky Morton but hit Haas with a superkick. Tag to the Big Show. Show is in, house of fire. He beats up Team Angle pretty well until Paul Heyman is on the ring apron. Remember Heyman is the Big Show's former manager. Heyman left Big Show because he failed to injure Brock Lesnar prior to Wrestlemania. Show slugs Heyman but gets hit with a Double Exploder Suplex by the Champions. This is enough for three. Team Angle are still champions. **

Winners:Team Angle(via a Double Exploder)

64(67, 58)

Notes:Big Show lost overness from this match. Hurricane lost overness from this match. Shelton Benjamin gained overness from this match. Charlie Haas gained overness from this match. Big Show didn't really sell very much, which hurt the match rating. The WWE Tag Team title has lost image.

Rhyno was respect and some action

Stephanie McMahon is filing paperwork when Rhyno comes into her office.

Stephanie:What do you want Rhyno, because I am very busy.

Rhyno:I want airtime. I signed with the Smackdown brand for the highest quality opponents. I have not had a match of high magnitude since my match with Brock Lesnar a couple of months ago. I want a match tonight.

Stephanie:Fine Rhyno. Since you are gung-ho about having a match. You can face Chris Benoit tonight. Thank you and good day.

Lucha Libre Style Cruiserweight Match for the WWE Cruiserweight Title:Nova vs Tajiri vs Jaime Knoble vs Spanky©

Highlights:The rules of this match are very simple. Two men shall be in the ring at once. When you get thrown out, another wrestler can replace you. Tags can also be made. First pinfall scored will declare the winner. Knoble and Tajiri started out and Tajiri laced into Knoble with kicks. Nova and Tajiri had some good moments. Knoble and Nova had a nice sequence. Knoble threw himself to the outside to avoid the Sliced Bread #2. Tajiri came in and went for the Brainbuster but Spanky reverses into an inverted DDT. Spanky dropkicks Knoble off the ring apron and Spanky with a superkick to Nova. Spanky then hits Sliced Bread #2 to pin Tajiri. ***

Notes:The WWE Cruiserweight title has gained in image.

Kurt wants some respect

Kurt Angle comes out to chants of:"You Suck". Kurt doesn't look too pleased.

Kurt Angle:First of all, I don't suck. YOU SUCK.

The crowd's chants get louder.

Angle:Last Sunday I destroyed the Undertaker. I made him tap, but the referee was obviously too blind to see it. I walked out thinking the match was over and I was screwed by that incompetent Brian Hebner. So Hebner, since your family likes to screw people why don't you try to screw me right now. NO NO. Thats not what a meant. What I meant was....

"You Think You Know Me"

Here comes Edge. Edge is out to a standing ovation from the fans on Smackdown.

Edge:Aw yes Kurt Angle. Don't you ever learn. I see you are still a dork. The only difference between a year ago and now is you are a dork without hair. Cueball Kurt.

The crowd chants:"Cueball Kurt"

Kurt Angle:Edge, did I invite you out here. I am here from one reason. I beat the Undertaker. I want that little tramp Stephanie McMahon to overturn the decision. I want my title shot with Brock Lesnar...

Edge:(mockingly)I want. I want. I want. I want a lot of things, like a match with Matt Hardy but you don't see me whining taking up valuable airtime.

Angle:Who cares about you Edge? It was all about Kurt Angle right now.

Edge:Well seeing you aren't going to shut up, perhaps I will shut you up myself.

Edge comes down to the ring. It looks like....

Kurt Angle:Well Mattitude, it does sound interesting. However I am an Olympic Gold Medalist and I will have to politely decline your offer.

Edge turns around and spears Matt Hardy before anything else can happen. Kurt Angle runs up the ramp and attacks Edge. Angle Slam on the Ramp. Edge was drilled. Stephanie McMahon comes out with a dozen sercurity officers and stops this.

Test wants The Horsemen

Out comes Test and he doesn't look in a happy mood. The Horsemen still have Stacy.

Test:I am calling any member of the Horsemen out right now. I don't know what you did to Stacy but you better not have harmed her in anyway. I am going to make you regret it if you did. Come on Flair. Come On Basham. Come On Batista. You are the main ones behind this. You are...

Out comes Triple H.

HHH:Oh shut up. You want to become a big main event player at the expense of the Horsemen. Well since you think you are quality now, I have your fight. Against ME.

Test looks focused. Triple H and Test have a lot of bad blood dating back to The McMahon-Helmsley era.

HHH:Test, whats the matter. Can't think of anything to say. Remember I am the one who ruined your career. You were on track to become what I am today. Remember Test. Remember the events of November 29, 1999. You were primed and ready to have the power of the McMahon family behind you. You were to be the Game. If things went your way, I would be you. I got into Stephanie's ear and had her dump you like the bum you are. Like we are trying to convince Stacy to do right now.

Test:If you do anything to warp her mind...

HHH:Relax Test. I will give you one last chance to be a superstar. You will face me tonight. If you win, you get Stacy back and the Horsemen disband forever.

Kanyon beats on the jobber and hits a torture rack spun into a neckbreaker. Sweet move, only gets two. Kanyon with a throwing vertical suplex and another two count. Hawk fights out and hits a superkick. Cody Hawk goes up top and 450 splash. Another two. Cody Hawk whips Kanyon in but Kanyon side steps a dropkick. Kanyon goes for a clothesline but Hawk ducks. Kick from Kanyon and Flatliner. Pin is scored in 4:30. * 1/2

Winner:Chris Kanyon(via the Flatliner)

59(46, 72)

A look at Rory Fox

Another Rory Fox training video is shown. Rumours on the net is that he will be brought in as a heel, since the heel side of the Cruiserweight Division is rather week. Nunzio, Knoble, and maybe Shannon Moore. Matt Hardy seems to be above the Cruiserweight Division.

Shannon Moore vs Jaime Knoble(w/Nidia)

Finally a non jobber vs star match. Shannon is a face this week and Mattitude is not here tonight. We see some clips of Jaime Knoble ruining the Spanky-Kidman match from Smackdown. Expect a three way dance in the near future. Knoble works over the knee but Moore fights back. Moore with two dropkicks and Moore climbs up top. Springboard Rana. However it is rolled through into a sunset flip. Countered into a catapault and Moore with a rolling cradle onto Knoble. Two Count only. Moore with a gutshot and Rocker Dropper. WWE Heat Recap from 4/11/03

This is Matt Harms watching Heat so YOU don't have to. Althrough why anyone would want to watch this show, I don't know. Nothing important happens on it. Velocity sometimes has the promise of a good cruiserweight match.

Tonight:Torrie Wilson faces Trish Stratus in a bikini contest, Booker T will be in action, and Lita faces Molly Holly.

Spike Dudley vs Shawn Candido

The jobber doesn't get an intro or a graphic. He is ID'ed as Shawn Candido by FRICKEN' Terri of all people. Isn't this a bit jobberish even for Heat. Spike Dudley controls the match for once. Flying Double Foot Stomp and Candido sells pretty decent. Candido gets some offense but gets kicked and Dudley Dawged for the pin in 3:11. *

Winner:Spike Dudley(via the Dudley Dawg)

52(41, 63)

A transformation

Justin Credible is sitting backstage. Former ECW Champion to Heat Jobber. Well if anyone deserves it, it has to be Credible. Credible goes through his gym bag and pulls out the old Aldo Montoya outfit. WTF. Credible goes into the dressing room to put it on. The Return of Aldo Montoya? Stay Tuned

53

Aldo Montoya(Yes ALDO MONTOYA) vs Tommy Dreamer in a non-title, non-Hardcore Match

Tommy Dreamer brings the brand new WWE Hardcore Title Belt to the ring which suspiciously looks like the ECW World Title in design. Credible looks like a goon with that jock strap over his head. Well if they want to turn him full jobber, why not bring back Aldo Montoya. Raven watches from the ramp. They trade holds, putting together a decent enough match for wrestling about five thousand times in ECW. Terri and Coach decide to talk about the Horsemen during this match. Anyway Dreamer ducks a Superkick and Spicolli Drivers Credible for the pin in 5:05. Raven leaves. **

Winner:Tommy Dreamer(via the Spicolli Driver)

64(57, 72)

Rob Van Dam music video

A look at RVD to "Take Me Higher" by Creed. Jericho vs RVD in two weeks at Judgement Day.

93

Notes:Rob Van Dam gained overness from this segment.

Molly Holly vs Lita

When Lita dogs it, she dogs it. The crowd was hot during this one. Lita nearly kills Molly with a frankensteiner. Moonsault is missed. Molly Go Round is missed. Lita goes for a sunset flip but Molly counters by choking Lita. Molly with a brainbuster but Lita gets in the ropes. Molly argues and gets rolled up for the pin. Bah, Lita had the tights and the referee counted fast. 4:32 Match. ** 1/2

Winner:Lita(via a roll up)

72(82, 49)

Ash Parker vs Booker T

Ash Parker is in the main event. Coach says the top six stars on Raw are Austin, Booker, HHH, RVD, Jericho, and Jeff Hardy. JEFF HARDY. Since when is Rainbow Bright the top star of anything. Minor rant. Parker works over Booker T. Parker hits a backdrop suplex and poses. Booker T does the spinaroonie and kick to the midsection. Ax Kick. That is enough for three. Booker T wins. 3:56. ** 3/4

Winner:Booker T(via the Ax Kick)

72(64, 81)

Bikini Showdown

Jerry Lawler is your master of ceramonies tonight. It should note that we have 4 minutes left in the show, so we are going to go over or something is going to happen.

Lawler:Okay fans, are you ready to see some PUPPIES.

The crowd cheers.

Lawler:The first contestant is Torrie Wilson.

Torrie comes out. Her last apperance was before Wrestlemania when both she and Stacy Keibler got attacked before a Bikini Contest by Doug Basham. Torrie has on a purple robe.

Lawler:And the second contenstant is the WWE Woman's Champion, Trish Stratus.

Out comes Trish in a short black robe. JAZZ JUMPS HER FROM BEHIND. Jazz with a couple of shots and she slams the head of Trish off of the ramp. Torrie tries to help but Jazz just suplexes her on the ramp. Jazz posts Trish. Lawler tries to pull Trish off but Jazz manhandles Lawler. HA. Lawler pulls off his jacket and looks pissed. Heat however fades to copyright before we can see Jazz and the King scuffle.

74

Notes:Jazz gained overness from this segment.

WWE Raw 5/12/03 Recap

We start out with something a bit different, a match. Yeah I never have heard of a wrestling program starting with a wrestling match either.

Glen Jacobs vs Dave Batista(w/Ric Flair)

AGAIN. Didn't we see this match a few weeks ago. Anyway Batista pounds Glen Jacobs and Jacobs gets the advantage. A pair of super clotheslnies gets a one and a half count. The six man tag match that was supposed to be Rhodes, Basham, and HHH vs Austin, Test, and Booker is now Batista, HHH, and Basham vs Test, Booker, and Austin. Dustin Rhodes broke his nose over the weekend at a house show and will be out. Jacobs goes for the choke slam but Flair interrupts. Jacobs choke slams Flair and walks right into a power bomb for the pin in 7:32. After the match Batista hit two more power bombs. *** 1/4

Winner:Dave Batista(via a sitout power bomb)

83(84, 81)

Notes:Glen Jacobs lost overness from this match. Dave Batista gained overness from this match.

Triple H interview

Oh goody a Triple H interview.

Triple H:Austin, last week, you were thinking you would get a singles match with me. You would get me in a six man tag team match at Judgement Day instead. It doesn't matter through. The Horsemen will END Your Career at Judgement Day. You are living on borrowed time Stone Cold. The Horsemen will finish what I started at Backlash. I am the Game and I am THAT DAMN GOOD.

85

King of the Ring Qualifier:Tommy Dreamer vs Steven Richards

The winner will get to the quarterfinals of the Raw portion of the KOTR. Steven pounds Dreamer at the bell but a double leg takedown and a legdrop to the groin stopped Steven's flurry. Dreamer punches away at Steven but gets low blowed. Steven Kick gets two. Steven can't believe it and neither can we. Steven goes up top but misses whatever he was going for. Dreamer with a kick and Dreamer DDT. Three is scored in 3:07. Dreamer is in the KOTR. * 1/2

Winner:Tommy Dreamer(via the Dreamer DDT)

58(50, 66)

Notes:This match suffered because the crowd were still pumped up from the last one, and so this bout was seen as something of a let-down to them.

Spike Dudley vs Raven in the KOTR qualifier

Raven beats on Spike Dudley to start. Spike fights back and goes for the Dudley Dawg but is thrown off by Raven. Raven with a kick to the gut and Evenflow(I refuse to call it the Raven Effect). Three count is made in 1:32. That was short. ** 1/2

Winner:Raven(via the Evenflow DDT)

71(67, 75)

Jazz vs Stacy Keibler(w/Doug Basham)

Stacy is wearing a Horsemen T-Shirt and not much else underneath. Basham shoves Stacy into the waiting clutches of Jazz and Jazz pounds Stacy. This is a slaughter. Nice double underhook suplex from Jazz. Jazz power bombs Stacy. Jazz rubs Stacy's face into the mat. Jazz shoves the referee down. Test runs out and clotheslines Basham. Test now enters the ring. Jazz is not backing down. WHAT A BOOT FROM TEST. Test nearly knocked Jazz's head off of her shoulders with that. Stacy with a cover. Three Count. Stacy pins Jazz in 3:03 with a little help from Test. Basham pulls Stacy back out and drags her backstage. 11 more weeks for the Horsemen. **

Winner:Stacy Keibler(via help from Test)

63(75, 38)

Jazz wants Test

Jazz shoves a road agent away and attempts to get at Test.

Jazz:I WANT YOU IN THE RING NEXT WEEK.

Test:No way, I have better things to do than fight a woman.

Jazz:Are you afraid I will kick your ass.

Test:You are on bitch. See you next week. I have another Big Boot for you.

Jazz slaps Test but a futher fight is broken up by Road Agents. Test vs Jazz next week?

49

Notes:Jazz lost overness from this segment. Test lost overness from this segment.

Rob Van Dam(w/Bill Alfonso) vs William Regal for the World Heavyweight Title

How did William Regal get a shot at the World Heavyweight Title. He hasn't seen much action in the past couple of months. Well never mind because the match is pretty good. Van Dam stiffs Regal with a kick and Regal spears Van Dam. Lots of stiff shots by both men. They were worked stiff shots of course but neither man isn't a pussy. Regal with the half nelson suplex spiking Van Dam on his head. Jesus Christ that was a sick move. We see a replay from three different camera angles. Regal with the knuckles and he smacks RVD with them. Two count. Regal goes for the knuckles again but Van Dam kicks him out of his hand. Plan B is a low blow. Regal cradles RVD but RVD wiggles out for a nearfall. Fonzie throws the chair to Regal. Don't catch it William, whoops too late. Van Daminator. Van Dam is up top and Five Star Frog Splash. Three is made in 8:09. Chris Jericho runs out and grabs the chair. HUGE Shot to Van Dam. Fonzie gets chaired as well. Jericho mocks the RVD finger point. ***

Winner:Rob Van Dam(via the Five Star Frog Splash)

80(78, 83)

Jericho gloats

Jericho:At Judgement Day I will win the World Heavyweight Title and prove to be the larger than life living legend. THE KING OF THE WORLD and....

RVD spears Jericho into a pepsi machine. RVD with some kicks to Jericho. Jericho tries to get away but Van Dam dropkicks him. Van Dam with the Rolling Thunder. Jericho is out.

78

Notes:Chris Jericho lost overness from this segment.

3 Minute Warning and Rico vs Stone Cold Steve Austin, Test, and Booker T

Hmm, we have 30 minutes until the end. Either this match is going to be long or something is up. Booker T gets pounded by 3 Minute Warning in the corner. Rico takes his shots with some kicks. That was a stiff spinning heel kick. 3MW with a double diving headbutt. Booker T fights out and tag to Test. Test is in and Test pounds both but gets trapped in the heel corner. Test hits Rico with the big boot and tag to Stone Cold. Austin rams the heads of Rosey and Jamal together. Big mistake, double headbutt. Booker T and Test take the Samoans out and Rico goes for a spin kick but Austin ducks it. KICK WHAM STUNNER. Rico flies into the air. Austin scores the pin in 9:34. ***

Winners:Steve Austin, Booker T, and Test(via a Stunner on Rico)

76(76, 77)

WWE Woman's Title:Trish Stratus© vs Molly Holly

THIS is your main event(well match anyway. I expect we will see something involving the Horsemen to cloe the show). They have wrestled about 500 times so it is pretty good. Molly misses the Molly Go Round and Trish hits the Stratusfaction for the pin in 4:32. No Jazz run in. That is a shock. ***

Winner:Trish Stratus(via the Stratusfaction)

79(89, 58)

Notes:The WWE Womans title has gained in image.

Austin goes for a beer:

Austin is at the concession stands.

Austin:I want a large beer son. Hurry up.

Doug Basham pops from behind the counter and sprays Austin with a face full of beer. The rest of the Horsemen attack. The camera view is obscured. We here whacking sounds, like a pipe on skin. Triple H has Austin and THROWS HIM THROUGH A PLATE GLASS WINDOW. Austin is coughing up blood but Triple H is pounding Austin some more. Flair has a pipe and Flair with a shot to the rattlesnake. Austin is laying in a pool of his own blood. Triple H has the sledgehammer. Triple H smacks Austin with a shot to the face. Another shot. A third shot. Austin has lost a lot of blood in this attack. Austin can barley even move since he has lost so much blood. We fade out with the Horsemen standing over a bloody Austin.

KOTR Qualifier:Jaime Knoble(w/Nidia) vs Rey Misterio Jr

WOW. Knoble and Rey trade punches and Rey gets an advantage by dropkicking Knoble to the outside. A pescado takes both Knoble and Nidia out. Notes:Matt Hardy Version 1.0 gained overness from this segment.

The HOSS Squad vs Rikishi and the Big Show

WHY ME. This is like going to the penthouse to the outhouse. Rikishi gets pounded but makes the tag. Big Show is a house of fire but is pumped kicked by Albert. DeMott hits an elbow off the top and mercifully ends this match. Does the Big Show have what it takes anymore. * 1/2

Winners:The Hoss Squad(via a flying elbowdrop to Big Show)

60(64, 51)

Notes:Big Show didn't really sell very much, which hurt the match rating.

Angle wants UT

Kurt Angle comes out. He is alone. Angle enters the ring.

Angle:I am going to make this short and I am going to make this to the point. The Undertaker, last week you cost me yet another match. I don't want to wait until Judgement Day. Get your dead ass out here right now so I can make you tap.

Chris Benoit wants Rhyno to know who the submission specialist is in the WWE

Out comes Chris Benoit. Chris Benoit now comes out.

Benoit:Two weeks ago I fought Rhyno. It was one of the toughest matches of my life but I didn't get pinned. Sure it was a double countout but Rhyno refused to prove me wrong and pin me in the center of the ring or make me submit. I am the top submission specialist in the WWE and that covers a lot of ground. At Judgement Day Rhyno will...

"Medal" plays and out comes Rhyno. Rhyno doesn't look happy. Rhyno has the microphone.

Rhyno:First of all Benoit, you think you are the top submission wrestler in the WWE. Well I beg to differ. I think you are decent but lets not fool the fans. I am ten times more adept at submissions then you are. I will prove it tonight when I face Edge. I will win by submission. I refuse to win by any other way.

Benoit:Well Rhyno, if you think you are the greatest submission wrestler in the WWE there is only one way to find out. At Judgement Day our match shall be a submission match. The first person to make his opponent tap has the right to bill himself as the top submission wrestler in the WWE.

Rhyno:You got it Benoit. I will prove you wrong and make you tap at the PPV.

75

Notes:Chris Benoit lost overness from this segment. Rhyno lost overness from this segment.

Edge vs Rhyno

The announcers say that Rhyno does have an extensive background in mixed martial arts but he has not used submission holds much before. Rhyno beats on Edge and Rhyno drives his shoulder into the gut of Edge. Rhyno picks up Edge and gutwrench suplex. Rhyno now with an STF. Rhyno has the hold on but Edge shoves a lot of heart and refuses to submit. Rhyno now with a straightjacket submission hold. Maybe the hype is to believed. Edge fights to his feet. Edge with some punches and Edge whips Rhyno into the ropes. Gutshot. Faceplant by Edge gets two. Edge whips Rhyno in but spear meets the corner. Both men try for their version of the spear at the same time and it leads to a meeting of the minds. The referee is putting the ten on both men. Edge is up and Edge hooks Rhyno. Edgeacution. Edge spikes Rhyno. Edge with a cover but only a two and a half. Edge now locks Rhyno in the Edge-A-Cator. Edge is showing that he knows a thing or two about submissions. Matt Hardy is out however. Matt Hardy has Edge's concentration broken. Edge gets his eyes raked by Hardy and he turns around into a gore. Rhyno refuses to go for the cover and Rhyno locks Edge in a choke sleeper. Edge is trying to get out but he can't so Edge taps. Rhyno wins in 9:32. **** for the pyschology of Rhyno not wanting to win by pinfall.

Winner:Rhyno(via a choke sleeper)

87(89, 83)

Billy Kidman vs Eddie Guerrero

Wow the matchs keep coming. Eddie pokes Kidman in the eye at the bell just because he can. Eddie pounds the back. Eddie with a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Eddie works over the back some more. 78(75, 82)

Team Angle vs the Undertaker and Brock Lesnar

The Titles are not on the line. Team Angle is pounded by Brock at the bell but manage to isolate him in the corner. Some good double teaming. Hart Attack time move, only with a dropkick instead of a clothesline. Double superplex but Brock wipes out both with clotheslines. Tag to the deadman. Nice knowing you Team Angle. The Undertaker beats up Haas and Benjamin. The Undertaker with the Tombstone to Benjamin. Haas is in the ring but gets F-5ed by Brock. Double pin by UT and Brock. 5:53. Thankfully the titles were not on the line. ***

Winners:The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar(double pin on Team Angle)

77(76, 79)

However...the night is not over:

Brock celebrates on the ramp but gets jumped by Eddie Guerrero. Eddie beats on Brock with the title belt, opening up a cut on the champion's forehead. Eddie locks on the Lasso from El Passo. This is the one move that Brock cannot escape. He has never found a way out. Tonight is no different. Eddie has it on the ramp and as the referees beg in to release it he just sinches it on tighter. Eddie has the hold on a bloodied Brock as Smackdown draws to a close.

Your hosts are Jonathan Coachman and....JIM CORNETTE. Heat may actually be a show worth tuning into now. After months of Terri, Lita, and D'Lo, we finally get a decent colour commentator. Hopefully this isn't a one shot deal.

Mark Jindrak vs Jeff Hardy

Rainbow Bright opens up against Mark "I was Part of the Invasion, You Know" Jindrak. Jindrak uses his power against Hardy but misses a splash off the top rope. Usual Hardy comeback. Jeff Hardy with a sitdown faceslam and he finishes off Jindrak with the Swanton Bomb in 3:21. ** 1/2

Winner:Jeff Hardy(via the Swanton Bomb)

71(69, 73)

And its official

Jeff Hardy is in the ring and Jonathan Coachman has left the ring to get a couple of words with Hardy.

Coachman:Jeff Hardy, you have been on a roll like none over of the past couple of weeks. You are in the Raw portion of the King of the Ring Tournament and tonight a big win over Mark Jindrak.

Jeff Hardy:All I can see is, Jeff Hardy is officially back on track...

"Christian, Christian, At Last You are on Your Own"

Out comes Christian. What does this pompous jerk want.

Christian:Nice victory Jeff. Being the little buddy of RVD sees to be paying off for you. Wins over Johnny Stamboli and Mark Jindrak. WOW. But everytime you fight a real wrestler such as Triple H, Chris Jericho, or Dave Batista, you get pounded again and again and again.

Jeff Hardy:You want a piece of me Christian.

Christian:Yeah. It seems like their is one more slot open at Judgement Day. Much like my good buddy Chris Jericho will beat your good buddy RVD, I will pound you into the mat and finish you off once and for all.

The match is on. Chrisitian will face Jeff Hardy in one week at Judgement Day. An offshoot to the RVD-Chris Jericho feud.

William Regal and Lance Storm vs Spike Dudley and Billy Gunn

Remember when Regal and Storm were getting shots at the Tag Team Titles on Raw. (Speaking of which, hasn't it been more then 30 days since they have been defended). Remember when Billy Gunn was feuding with the Horsemen. Remember when Spike Dudley was er I have to stretch back to the Invasion to get anything worthy of Spike, having a mini-feud with Steve Austin. Boy the mighty have fallen far. Billy Gunn gets isolated but fights back. Tag to Spike. Spike is a house of fire. Dudley Dawg to Storm but he has the wrong man. Regal hits Spike with the Power of the Punch. This gets three. Afterwards Billy Gunn and Spike argue. Oh boy Billy Gunn vs Spike Dudley. I can hardly stand the excitement. Match was about ** 3/4

Winners:William Regal and Lance Storm(via the Power of the Punch to Spike)

Notes:Triple H gained overness from this segment. Steve Austin gained overness from this segment.

Alledged Main Event:Bobby Rude vs Christian

Christian has a PPV match next Sunday and Rude is a job boy, gee I wonder whom is going to win. Rude has a brief comeback in the middle to actually try and fool us that Christian might lose. Rude misses a flying cross body and Christian with a Reverse DDT for the pin(No Unprettier??). Jeff Hardy runs out and knocks Christian to the outside. The originally planned Jeff Hardy vs Dave Batista match was killed due to the injury to Dustin Rhodes so this match was hastily thrown together. * 1/2

Winner:Christian(via the Reverse DDT)

60(51, 70)

Judgement Day Hype 3

A look at the Raw Main Event(if HHH doesn't throw a tantrum again) for Judgement Day. Jericho-Van Dam for the title.

Raw Report for 5/19/03

We are SIX Days away from Judgement Day. Tonight Booker T will face Triple H in a preview to the six man tag between the Horsemen and Austin, Booker, and Test.

Opening up with a Bang

"King of the World" plays and out comes Chris Jericho. Jericho looks full of himself and cocky tonight. In Six Days he will face Rob Van Dam at Judgement Day. Can the Larger Than Life Living Legend walk out with the title.

Jericho:In Six Days Van Dam. In Six Days your title reign will come to an end. There will be no doubt in the minds of anyone who the real World Heavyweight champion. That is me, Chris Jericho. The Larger Than Life Living Legend. The King of the World. In fact, we don't have to wait until Judgement Day. We can get it on right now.

Jericho takes off his jacket and he looks ready. "One of a Kind" plays and out comes Rob Van Dam. Van Dam is in his street clothes but he doesn't care. He enters the ring and stares down Jericho. Jericho slaps Van Dam. Van Dam responds by kicking Jericho in the face. Van Dam picks up Jericho and whips him into the ropes. Spin Kick by Van Dam. Jericho begs off and LOW BLOW FROM JERICHO. Van Dam was suckered in. Jericho now takes down RVD and drills him with punches. Jericho throws RVD over the top rope and to the floor. Jericho grabs RVD and sets him up. Jericho has RVD. Power Bomb through the table. Jericho drills RVD. He may have decimated Van Dam with that. Jericho stands over a battered RVD yelling insults at him. Jericho has struck Van Dam before Judgement Day.

85

Jazz vs Test

No Good can come out of this. They seem to be grooming Test for a Main Event slot so losing to a woman will not do him favours. However Jazz has a title shot this Sunday. Jazz slaps Test and Test hits her with a clothesline. Test with punches on Jazz but Jazz kicks Test in the groin. Jazz with a DDT to Test. Jazz chokes Test. Jazz goes up top but gets slammed off by Test. Test signals for the boot but Doug Basham comes out with a scared Stacy Keibler. Test is distracted and Test is struck with a low blow. Jazz hit the move known as the Jazz Stinger in ECW. This only gets two. Trish Stratus ran in from the back and kicked Jazz in the face. Test is up and Test with a pumphandle slam. Test goes up top and Flying Elbowdrop to Jazz. This gets three. 2:43. **

Winner:Test(via the Flying Elbowdrop)

66(63, 69)

The Fun has Just Begun however

Test stalks Basham down the ramp. Basham slowly backs off, using Stacy as a shield the whole way. Basham is standing in the ramp and BATISTA MOWS TEST DOWN WITH A LARIAT. Ric Flair is also backstage. The three Horsemen beat Test down and Flair has Test by the hair. Flair is rubbing the face of Test in the concrete. Test's nose is bleeding. This is the same thing the Horsemen did to Ricky Morton many years back. Flair may have broke Test's nose.

69

Notes:Ric Flair lost overness from this segment.

Booker T talks about his match later

Terri is backstage with Booker T.

Terri:Booker, tonight you will face Triple H. But after what the Horsemen did to Stone Cold Steve Austin last week and what they did to Test moments ago, you got to be looking over your shoulder.

Booker T:Well Terri, you would think that but no I wouldn't. That is exactly what Flair and Triple H want me to do. They feel that they can beat me easier. Triple H ducked me when he was the champion. Tonight he will pay the piper. Now can you dig it, sucka.

81

Billy Gunn vs Dave Batista in a King of the Ring Qualifier

Batista powers out of several Gunn moves, frustrating the former Tag Team Champion to no end. Batista beats on Gunn and puts on an extended bearhug. Gunn fights out and gets a one count with a Fame-Asser. Batista just smokes Gunn with a lariat(stiff as hell) and then hits the Sitout Power Bomb for the pin in 3:43. Batista only has one loss on record and that is to Stone Cold Steve Austin. The announcers say Batista is the favorite to win the King of the Ring Tournament. ** 3/4

Winner:Dave Batista(via the Sitout Power Bomb)

75(73, 78)

Glen Jacobs and Jeff Hardy vs the Canadian Chris(tian)s

Wow, you would think Hardy and RVD would team up but it is Hardy and Jacobs. Rainbow Bright plays Ricky Morton. The announcers hype up his match against Christian at Judgement Day as Christian pounds him. That match was just made on Heat. Jeff Hardy wipes out both Canadians with the Whisper in the Wind and HOT TAG to Jacobs. Jacobs is a house of fire. Jacobs pounds Christian and takes him out first. However Jericho hits Jacobs right between the eyes with the ring bell hammer. Jericho now with the Lionsault to Jacobs. Three coutn by Jericho in 6:43. Rob Van Dam however runs out. Van Dam superkicks Jericho to the outside. Christian goes for a shot but Van Dam ducks it. Superkick from Van Dam. Van Dam hops up top. Five Star Frog Splash to Christian. Jericho says wait till Sunday to Van Dam. *** 1/4

Winner:Rob Van Dam(via the Five Star Frog Splash)

82(83, 81)

Triple H talks about Booker T.

Triple H:Booker T. Is this the best competition I can get. I should be getting my title rematch but instead that Canadian rock reject Chris Jericho is getting all my title shots. Rob Van Dam's victory at Wrestlemania was a FLUKE. He couldn't beat me any other time but he just got lucky. Tonight Booker T will be made an example of. Because I am the Game and I am that damn GOOD.

75

Bubba Ray Dudley vs William Regal in a King of the Ring Qualifier

Bubba dominates early and hits the flip, flop, and fly but only gets a two. A series of elbowdrops but Regal outwrestles Bubba for the most part. Regal misses a corner charge and Bubba with the Bubba Bomb. However Lance Storm runs out and Bubba beats him up. Regal has the knuckles but Bubba beats him up. Storm has the knuckles but accidentally hits Regal. Bubba steals the knuckles from Storm and hits him. Cover gets three. 6:43. Bubba Ray Dudley will face Dave Batista in the first round of the KOTR. ***

Winner:Bubba Ray Dudley(after Lance Storm accidentally hit William Regal with brass knuckles)

78(74, 82)

Steve Austin wants Triple H

Austin is sitting in a hotel lobby somewhere.

Austin:This week Eric Bischoff said I couldn't come to Raw. He thinks I would be pissed after the Horsemen beat me up and bloodied me last week. Damn right I am pissed. More pissed then I ever have been in my life and that is saying someting. The Horsemen are MINE. Screw the six man this Sunday. If any one of those Jackasses try and cross me, I will stomp the biggest mudhole in their asses that you have ever seen. Flair, Triple H, Batista, it just doesn't matter. If they do make it to the six man, you might as well throw out the rulebook. I don't care what Booker T and Test are going to do, but I am not pulling any punches. This has gone from business to personal. You tried to end my career last week Triple H. At Judgement Day I will end yours. and thats the bottom line because Stone Cold said so.

95

Booker T vs Triple H(w/Ric Flair)

It all leads down to this. Triple H and Booker to slug it out with Booker getting the better of it. Booker goes for the Ax Kick but Flair pulls Triple H out of the ring. Booker T gives chase and beats up both Flair and Triple H. Booker T throws HHH into the ring and Booker T unloads onto Triple H with punches. Booker T with a kick to the midsection and swinging neckbreaker. Booker goes up top but HHH is up and he crotches Booker. Triple H slams Booker off the top. Triple H works over Booker T and goes for the Pedigree but Booker T catapaults Triple H into the ringpost. Booker T with a spin kick and Booker T with the spinaroonie. Harlem Side Kick to Triple H. Cover but only two and a half when Flair puts the Game's foot on the ropes. Booker T drags Flair in and rips some of his suit. Triple H has the sledgehammer but Booker T side steps it and the referee gets hit. Booker T hits Triple H in the gut with the sledgehammer. Booker T now with the Ax Kick. Booker T with a cover but Batista is out. Batista throws Booker T to the corner and NEARLY TAKES HIS HEAD OFF WITH A VICIOUS SLEDGEHAMMER SWING. Booker T is out cold. Batista swung that sledgehammer about as hard as someone could. Triple H with a cover. One, Two, Three. The Game wins in 9:32. Batista, Flair, and Triple H work over Booker T but Test runs out with a nose guard on. Batista pounds Test and they remove Test's nose guard. Batista holds Test while HHH pummels his broken nose. Doug Basham is out and he forces Stacy to watch. The crowd chants for Austin but he is not here tonight. *** 1/2

Winner:Triple H(via the Pedigree)

WWE World Title:

Eddie Guerrero vs Brock Lesnar©

- As much as I'd like Guerrero to walk away with the title, I see Lesnar retaining for now.

World Heavyweight Title:

Rob Van Dam© vs Chris Jericho

- This match is kinda an iffy one for me to decide on. I'm goign with Jericho, just so a good Jericho/Triple H feud comes out of this. Seeing as Triple H keeps losing title shots, this would only further his point as he'd actually have to try and get one.

Cage Match:

Kurt Angle vs the Undertaker

- To further put over Kurt Angle, I see Taker losing. Angle is the Almighty force that shall take away Lesnar's title (or at least how I'd book it).

Six Man Grudge Match:

Test, Booker T, and Steve Austin vs Triple H, Dave Batista, and Doug Basham

- I see this match being a win for the Horsemen. I think Basham will get the pin on Test, just so this storyline can further develope. Yet, in the end, lose or draw, I think Austin stuns the hell out of everyone.

Submission Match:

Rhyno vs Chris Benoit

- Benoit's in his element, thus by WWE, he should lose as anyone who is in his element should lose the match, thus making the other guy seem like gold.

Christian vs Jeff Hardy

- Hm... I don't really know where this will go, but I'm predicting that Hardy falls just a little short here, and Christian wins.

WWE Interconinental Title Match:

Edge vs Matt Hardy Version 1.0©

- Hardy's been holding that belt for a good while. However, I think Edge should win the title so Matt can move onto bigger and better things. Like going after Lesnar next.

WWE Woman's Title Match:

Jazz vs Trish Stratus©

- Meh... I never cared for the Woman's title before, and no offense, I still can't get too into it. Yet, I think Jazz will win the title from Trish.

Sunday Night Heat Match:

Three Way Dance for the WWE Cruiserweight Title:

Spanky© vs Billy Kidman vs Jaime Knoble.

- Should be a good match, yet I think a title won't change here. I'm predicting that good ol' Spanky retains his Cruiserweight title.

No Tag Team Title matches? I'm kinda shocked.

Nunzio pulls Kidman to the outside. Knoble then pins a hurt Spanky in 8:33. Kidman and Spanky come to slaps after the match. ***

Winners:Nunzio and Jaime Knoble(via Kidman accidentally crotching Spanky)

77(66, 88)

John Cena vs Rey Misterio Jr

If Cena wins, he takes Rey's spot in the King of the Ring Tournament. Good match, Cena trying to over power Rey. Cena gets a nearfall off of the Cena Bomb but Rey comes back. 6-1-9 but Cena gets out of the way to avoid the West Coast Pop. Rey instead hits an asai moonsault to Cena. Rey is in and Rey with a missile dropkick. Rey goes for a cover but Cena low blows him. Cena now with a head and arm suplex and Cena goes up top. Cena tries for a flying kneedrop but Rey rolls out of the way. Rey now headbutts Cena in the groin and goes to the outside. West Coast Pop connects but Cena powers out. Rey goes up top again. Edge introduces his partner

Loading....Loading....www.wwemattitude.com.

Out comes Matt Hardy with Shannon Moore, his junior M'fer. Today's Matt Facts are:

Matt Hardy has never been booed in his career.

Matt Hardy has never forgot to tip the waiter.

Matt Hardy enters the ring and holds up his Interconinental Title belt for all to see. He has worked hard for that, but that doesn't change the fact that he is one of the most cocky men in the WWE and that covers a lot of ground.

Matt Hardy:Greetings to all my M'fers out there. I thank you for your support. I am a champion you can be pround of. Tonight Edge, it doesn't matter who you bring, I will make an example out of you again.

"You Think You Know Me"

Out comes Edge. The crowd is cheering. Edge is one of the most popular stars on Smackdown. Edge has a bandage on his forehead instead of gauze this time.

Edge:Yes Matt Hardy. Once a dork, always a dork. This Sunday the Interconinental Title is coming to me for the fifth time.

Matt Hardy:You know, Edge, being a four time Interconinental Champion is nothing to be proud of. That means you lost the title four times.

Edge:Well at least I don't have to pull the tights and use the ropes to retain the title like someone whos name I won't mention did at Backlash.

Matt Hardy:I pinned you cleanly and you know it. So Edge, who is your partner. Which superstar is it going to be.

Edge:Matt Hardy, you are going to see the Worm.

"Turn It Up"

Out comes Scotty Too Hotty. He has returned from over a year on the sidelines. What a choice of partner from Edge. Scotty and Edge exchange a high five and enter the ring.

Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, and Rhyno vs The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and Chris Benoit

We had 30 minutes left in Smackdown when the entrances started. This should be a pretty decent and long match. A 6 man brawl started but it calmed down. Rhyno started out with Undertaker. Rhyno pounds the Undertaker and Undertaker fights back. Rhyno eats a choke slam but Kurt Angle makes the save. Kurt is tagged in and tries to take the Undertaker down but Undertaker with a short arm scissors. Angle gets to the ropes. Undertaker now pounds Kurt and tags Brock Lesnar in. Before any Lesnar/Angle stuff could happen Eddie jumps Lesnar from behind. Kurt tags in Rhyno and Rhyno works over the ribs of Brock. Gore gets broken up by Chris Benoit. Eddie with a German Suplex and Edidie climbs up top. Frog Splash from Eddie. Eddie scores the pin. Cleanly. With the Frog Splash. Non-Wrestlers can't wrestle on TV cards but managers can. Flair is a manager in my game so he can wrestle on tv cards. Hope that clears it up.

A look at Kurt Angle training

Well it seems that Kurt Angle has had Paul Heyman devise a training plan for him. This first part...Kurt playing dodgeball. Yes you read that right. Kurt gets bombarded with about 20 volleyballs at once. Kurt gets some great one liners. This is apperently to work on Kurt' s speed for his match against Brock Lesnar at King of the Ring.

Funaki vs Rory Fox

Last week Fox had a bad debut against Crash Holly. He thinks he is the savior of the cruiserweight division. Funaki dropkicks Fox out the gate and hits him with some punches and chops.
