Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted January 9, 2003 So Lyger and Kanemoto are facing Kanemaru and Kikuchi for the IWGP Jr. Titles and if NOAH wins the keep the straps permanantly, do the NOAH team have a hope in hell? I say no, and this starts a Kanemoto vs. Kanemaru feud for a temporary unification of the IWGP and GHC Jr. straps
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2003 I really hope the NOAH team does lose. I mean, it's LYGER AND KANEMOTO. If they lose, there truly is no hopes in hell...
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted January 9, 2003 I dont think the NOAH team has a chance in hell, but I have a different question to ask about this situation. Does NJ's junior scene warrant a Jr. tag division? Personally I don't think it has enough people to make diverse and fresh matchups. I say get rid of the IWGP jr tag belts. Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted January 9, 2003 NJ's junior division isn't what is used to be, but its still a lot bigger than NOAH's
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted January 9, 2003 I think NOAH and NJ need to do some WWE-izing and eliminate both Jr tag titles until they can get more talent. Until then they should only have the jr singles belts and regular tag matches should be used to help tell stories leading to jr singles matches.
Guest Stuart Report post Posted January 9, 2003 Does NJ's junior scene warrant a Jr. tag division? Personally I don't think it has enough people to make diverse and fresh matchups. I say get rid of the IWGP jr tag belts. The NJ junior scene has more wrestlers now than almost any other time before, due to the amount of guys being used. In the past few months the following have been involved in the junior division, - Liger - El Samurai - Heat - Tiger Mask - Kakihara - Naruse - Inoue - Jado - Gedo - TAKA Michinoku - Minoru Fujita - Super Crazy - Curry Man - Takehiro Murahama - American Dragon - Havana Pitbulls - Stampede Kid - GOKU-DO Add the returning Shibata, part-time AKIRA (whenever he returns), upcoming Taguchi, Takemura whenever he returned from Mexico, and working relationships with Osaka Pro, KAGEKI, and Michinoku Pro, and I think there are plenty of possibilities. Plus, the belts would help further the new old guard (with Liger seemingly molding into a Jumbo-style role) vs. new guard situation, especially if Tiger Mask and Heat take the belts from Liger and Kanemoto. There are defenses like vs. Kakihara/Naruse, vs. Havana Pitbulls, vs. Azteca/Diablo, vs. Delfin/Demekin, vs. Tsubasa/Black Buffalo, vs. Togo/Hidaka, vs. Jado/Gedo to be made. NOAH's entire junior division is virtually: Marufuji, Kanemaru, Kikuchi, KENTA, Kotaro Suzuki, Hashi, and Misawa hardly ever uses outsiders, so I don't think they should keep the belts. Guest wolverine Report post Posted January 9, 2003 Speaking of juniors, I need to track down more of that Jr. Four Horsemen shit from '96. I was watching some highlight clips of what they were doing back then, and I found it to be the most entertaining work I've seen in ages. Oh yeah, Sammy vs. Ohtani 1/96 is on the way....YES~! Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted January 9, 2003 I saw Gedo/Jado get mentioned, but didn't Jado suffer a really serious injury not too long ago? If so, he's back already? I took what I read to mean it was career-threatening.
Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted January 9, 2003 At first there was some fear that Jado would be out for good, but after he took a couple months off he was healthy enough to get back in the ring.
