Guest NoSelfWorth Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Tonight's Tough Enough is the last before next week's finale. Keep an eye out for what is supposedly a spectacular highspot by one of the students, a move that nobody has ever seen before. I don't know any more than that, but I've been told that those who have screened this week's Tough Enough say it's worth tuning in for... Credit - Wade Keller.
Guest The Old Me Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Someone stiffs Bob Holly?! One could only hope.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Tazz is in it tonight..
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 "Burrrrrp"....."Diva".......I hate that bitch Jamie. I think for the most part, this season has been pretty entertaining except for that ape, Jamie that annoys the hell out of me. If you go to toughenough.com you can vote on which contestant to cut. I don't know what that is all about, but I voted for eliminate Jamie anyway.
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Jamie, yep, she is very annoying. She will NEVER fit in with the WWE Diva formula, especially the sensual side. Can you imagine Jamie in a thong!?!? That would be disgusting.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 BREAKING NEWS~!: I WILL be doing the season finale of Tough Enough III next week, so you may all rejoice.
Paul Stanley Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 It was a standing SSP, no big whoopie.
Guest franchise632 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 It was a standing SSP, no big whoopie. No big whoppie?? A Standing Shooting Star Press!!!! Yea I guess a move that most people cant do off the top rope being done flat footed on the mat really isnt all that special. I guess I will go back to something really innovative like watching someone bash someone else over the head with a florecent light tube or something else thats really impressive. Is it really a wonder why nothing gets over anymore.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Sure, a standing SSP WAS amazing, but in the past year, it's become played. Hell, I can name probably six people off the top of my head who can hit standing SSP's now. It is kinda sad when you think about it. How such a move can quickly become so played.

And for your information..I do not like the "tube bashing" and that sort. I'm old-school through and through. Ok.
Guest Downhome Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Sure, a standing SSP WAS amazing, but in the past year, it's become played. Hell, I can name probably six people off the top of my head who can hit standing SSP's now. It is kinda sad when you think about it. How such a move can quickly become so played. Indeed... 1) AJ Styles 2) Jason Cross 3) The Amazing Redd 4) Phoenix ...and there are plenty of more, I can't even list them all. Still, it's a great spot, and one that WOULD get over instantly with the WWE crowd, there is NO denying that. The crowd has always popped for Kidman's SSP, and I'm sure they would eat up this one in WWE.
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 To me, the move isn't that played out, since I haven't seen it that many times. That standing SSP, combined with his charisma and other in-ring talents, and I think John will at least be one of the winners. Since I figured everyone would mostly vote for Jamie, I voted for Eric. Kotz is doing another TE recap??? YAY FOR THE WORLD!!
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I voted Jamie. Yeah, and I was kinda like "wow...standing SSP...how many times has Red hit that in the past 3 months?"
Guest notJames Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Speaking for the 99.5% of the population who neither have access nor the overwhelming desire to track down all these indie wrestlers, that move was killer! John should definitely win. The other spot should go to Matt, since both Jonah and Eric have a very average, vanilla look to them, and Jamie could use some seasoning in the indies before hitting the big time. Don't want another Gayda in the mix, no?
Chunk Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 ...and there are plenty of more, I can't even list them all. Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Hell, naming six is easy. Amazing Red, Brian XL, Sonjay Dutt, Sonny Siaki, Ruckus, Slim J. Fuck, Slim J threw a motherfucking CORKSCREW Standing Shooting Star Press. He turned 360 degrees while in midair doring the SSSP. That move blew my fucking mind, but I'm sure by the end of 2004, hell, maybe the end of 2003, that move will be played out as well.
Guest Dace59 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 And a Standing SSP, isn't that hard at all. Because you have a soild, unmoving surface under your feet, it's easier than a regular SSP of the top rope.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 And a Standing SSP, isn't that hard at all. Unfuckinbelievable! Talk about not giving credit where credit is due. Nothing pleases you fuckers.
Guest Downhome Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I don't see how any of you can discredit someone doing that move btw, it make those who put it down or not really give a shit about it seem very hard to please. It's a great move, good looking move, and the fans would love it, especially considering most WWE fans have never seen it before. (*sigh*, what happened to the days of the fans popping for EVERYTHING?)
Guest Dace59 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I never said I don't like the move, or that it wasn't any good. Just that it wasn't that hard to do.
Guest Star Ocean 3 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 OMG shootign starr press is so EZ!!! Im not impressed by Jon at all bcuz I can do it 2! ANd I CAN name Indy wrestlerz who hav don it to! And I can do it so easy!!!1
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 (*sigh*, what happened to the days of the fans popping for EVERYTHING?) Internet is what happened. OMG shootign starr press is so EZ!!! Im not impressed by Jon at all bcuz I can do it 2! ANd I CAN name Indy wrestlerz who hav don it to! Guest Star Ocean 3 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 It's usually called newbiespeak. It's old and not funny anymore, but gets the point across.
Guest Dace59 Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 If can do a gymnasticly simple backflip, and and come down belly first, then it doesn't take that much effort to push yourself forwards a foot or two into the jump. And hey, there's your Standing SSP. No worries about balancing, or springing off the ropes, just the unmoving floor. Nice move, but it huge new high spot. It'll getted poped by the crowd and be over. But give me a nice stiff Powerbomb any day to see.
Guest Brian Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I just figure why give the guy a slot based on one highspot that a lot of other more deserving guys can hit. I figure Matt's a lock to win, and they've pushed Jonah really hard as a character.
