Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I said it before and I'll say it again.... it's Elmer Fudd.... Oh...and at least we can now say that Maven was eliminated from the 2002 Royal Rumble last night...finally....now Taker should have just drug him into the ring again and tossed him out AGAIN... Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I say keep pushing Jericho as the heel and Michaels as the face, so when they get to Canada Michaels is booed out of the fucking building despite his face antics. I'd rather see the crowds force Jericho to be turned instead of WWE doing it. Come on, imagine JR trying to say that Michaels is getting a mixed reaction. That would own, actually. What would be even funnier is that good ol' JR would still be cutting down Jericho while still sucking Michaels' dick.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Yeah, just imagine.. *Jericho comes out to a small pop* JR: These fans respect Jericho, King. It's all about respect. *The entire arena cheers Jericho* JR: THIS CROWD'S CRAZIER 'N A PET COON!!
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Next step for Steiner... Heel turn. Steiner can come out and then complain about the reaction he got last night in Boston and he can pledge to beat respect out of somebody tonight. Hell, a Scott Steiner/Test feud seems like too much, so maybe Steiner can face Maven. Also tonight, they can start building a face v. face match at Wrestlemania between the Dudley Boys and Goldust/Booker
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 From LoP.com: The following matches have been confirmed for tonight's Raw: Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam Steven Richards & Victoria vs. The Hurricane & Trish Stratus Singapore Cane Match: Tommy Dreamer vs. D-Lo Brown Test (with Stacy Keibler) vs. "Y2J" Chris Jericho Eric Bischoff has less than one month to make some dramatic changes to RAW and appease his boss, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Expect the RAW General Manager to do whatever it takes to avoid being fired. What innovative ideas will Bischoff employ? Last night at the Royal Rumble, Bischoff boasted that he has a bombshell announcement to make. What could it be? Tune in to TNN tonight at 9/8 CT to see what tricks Bischoff pulls out! Scott Steiner can not be happy with the outcome of his match against Triple H last night at the Royal Rumble. Steiner picked up a win over The Game, but since he prevailed due to a disqualification, the World Heavyweight Championship didn't fall into his hands. Will Big Poppa Pump continue to chase the championship? Will a new challenger to the title step forward? Find out tonight! The Dudley Boyz are World Tag Team Champions once again. Which tandem will be the first to step up to the new champs? What will happen when Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho step into the same building following their clash during the Royal Rumble Match? Get all the answers tonight on RAW, starting at 9/8 CT on the new TNN! --Hurricane/Trish vs Stevie/Victoria could be good, if given at least ONE segment to build it up, much like what they did with Victoria/Y2J/Christian vs Trish/Booker T/Goldust. --Jeff vs RVD....could either be good or bad, depending on Jeff's mood. Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I hope the crowd is vicious to Steiner like we were in Boston last night.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Steiner is sounding due for a bit of a buildup to a heel turn. If the fans keep booing you as a face, then maybe you need to be a heel. Maybe the WWE will resist a 'double-turn' where HHH turns face
Guest candie45 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Are you serious? Jericho really has to fight Test? *repeats to self* I'm not gonna bitch until I see what happens. I'm not gonna bitch until I see what happens. I'm not gonna bitch until I see what happens.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Jericho could always catch Test's boot and counter into the Walls of Jericho and then he can leave with Stacy, since she is a leach. Or Jericho could punk her out and put her in the Walls
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 From WWE.com: Jeff Hardy hopes to exact revenge on Rob Van Dam for eliminating him from the Royal Rumble Match. Jeff demanded and has received a match against RVD tonight on RAW! Also tonight, Steven Richards and WWE Women's Champion Victoria will clash against The Hurricane and Trish Stratus, Tommy Dreamer faces D'Lo Brown in a Singapore Cane Match and Test, with Stacy Keibler at his side, will take on Chris Jericho! So..yeah.... It's Test vs Jerky tonight
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I hope Bischoff will create a new title and have a tournament that leads up to NWO. Maybe something with a Canadian reference to it. It will give a bunch of people something to do instead of just going out there and wrestling random matches.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Storm, Test, Jerky, Christian, Morley... Yeah, it would make sense to have a Canadian title
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted January 20, 2003 You think they'll bring back the IC title already?
Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I don't care if their is a Canadian title...that would be sweet... but then Stephy would have to counter on Smackdown with her own "lesser title" ...which she would probably chose to be Mexican in some way...just to piss more people off... and I know SD has the CW title...but that is pretty much meaningless anymore
Guest jester Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Storm, Test, Jerky, Christian, Morley... Yeah, it would make sense to have a Canadian title The problem with that is that the marks would think "Canada = Not America = Booo!"
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I don't think so, jester. After all, they were pushing the Canadian Trio (Christian, Storm, Regal) on SD as heels and the crowd would boo them, but later in the show, they'd cheer for Edge...who is canadian. Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted January 20, 2003 From LoP.com: The following matches have been confirmed for tonight's Raw: Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam Steven Richards & Victoria vs. The Hurricane & Trish Stratus Singapore Cane Match: Tommy Dreamer vs. D-Lo Brown Test (with Stacy Keibler) vs. "Y2J" Chris Jericho All right, so far here's what my g/f will have to endure on her first live event: A match between a pot smoker and a pill popper. A mixed tag featuring the two people I like on the same side A cane match between an oft-injured JTTS and Nation Member 2003 And a lame gimmick vs. RAW's whipping boy Don't get me wrong, I love RVD, Hurricane and Jericho. I even like Dreamer because of his dedication and my ECW fandom. But let's look at this logically: Van Dam can not carry Jeff Hardy to a good match. RVD is good, but he's not going to be able to cover the sloppiness and sluggishness of Jeff. The mixed tag will probably be the opening match. I love Hurricane and Trish, but Richards is nothing anymore, and Victoria doesn't do it for me. I like her theme song, that's it. Dreamer and D Lo should do this for HEAT, not RAW. I have nothing against either guy, really, but RAW is no place for them right now. And why was it TEST that through Jericho out last night? Made no sense last night, and we'll either see Jericho eek out a victory tonight, or lose via nefarious means (Michaels shows up). You know how they say "Card subject to change"? I hope that sentence rings true...

Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 and my eight random matches for an IC or North American title tournament: 1. Maven v. Batista- Batista wins 2. Test v. Jamal- Test wins 3. Tommy Dreamer v. Chris Nowinski- Nowinski wins 4. Steven Richards v. Hurricane- Hurricane wins 5. Goldust v. Rosey- Goldust wins 6. Raven v. Al Snow- Raven wins 7. D'Lo Brown v. Jeff Hardy- D'Lo wins 8. Booker T v. Rico- Booker wins followed by Batista and Test go to a double DQ Nowinski over Hurricane Goldust over Raven D'Lo over Booker via screwjob and.. Nowinski gets a bye Goldust over D'Lo then a Chris Nowinski/Goldust match could go either way. Just my rant

After all, they were pushing the Canadian Trio (Christian, Storm, Regal) on SD as heels and the crowd would boo them, but later in the show, they'd cheer for Edge...who is canadian. Yes, but they never make a big deal out of them being Canadian. Just a mention of their hometown when announced, and that's it. Bring out a Canadian belt, all we'd hear is "USA" chants. Except when wrestling in Canada, of course.
Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Everyone's missing the real story here. THE MIXED TAG MATCH IS BACK. It took a couple of week absence but it is back and better then ever. Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2003 Tag matches are fine as long as the ones involved can work real well. Stevie and Hurricane have had awesome matches, as long as they weren't too short. Trish...eh...she's just there.

Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted January 21, 2003 Was that referee strike last week the start of an angle? Or was it just a storyline excuse to make Bischoff look bad in front of Vince, being the way he was running RAW?
