Guest Polish_Rifle Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I thought Jeff had a really good match with RVD tonight. Maybe the release of Raven and Credible gave him some motivation and added incentive to perform. I think I like a heel turn for Jeff.
LooseCannon25 Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I agree 100% with you. He seemed motivated last night and wasn't very sloppy at all. A good solid match by Hardy, and what looks like a slow eventual heel turn could be a great thing for him. They probably threatened with releasing him and maybe he realized that this IS what he wants to do after all.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I don't like Jeff Hardy and it's gonna take more then a "Heel" Turn to change my mind. But, it's good to see him trying and looking awake. Maybe it was because he was finally working against someone he likes?
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I don't like Jeff Hardy and it's gonna take more then a "Heel" Turn to change my mind. But, it's good to see him trying and looking awake. Maybe it was because he was finally working against someone he likes? I'm sure 99% of the people said the exact same thing about Matt a few months back.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I'm sure they did. But, Matt didn't just turn Heel and say "Hey, I'm a bad guy now. I'm gonna fight Good guys." Matt's character Grew A lot. Have to wait and see if Jeff can do the same. I'm not subborn, I'll admit if I like something.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 So, Jeff's pops are dwindling rapidly, his appearance is atrocious, and (up to last night) his performance has become alarmingly sloppy & lazy. And he gets rewarded w/ a push? I fail to see the logic in this decision. Especially since RVD, Booker, Goldust, Jericho, Helms, and Stevie (among others) all have worked hard and have been way more entertaining, yet can't make it out of the mid-card (if they're lucky).
Guest Brian Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 Jeff could have used a dose of Mattitude.
Guest The Old Me Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 Even if Jeff were to get over as a heel, I doubt he has the patience to wait all that time, like his brother did.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I thought he was suspended from the house show circuit until he improved? Certainly they wouldn't not only un-suspend the guy, but give him a push, unless there was some MAJOR ass kissing going on backstage.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 Some suspension. No house shows, but he gets to win matches on Raw. That's some tough love there, Vinny Mac.
Guest converge241 Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 Wasnt Flair "mentoring" him too a while back? maybe they can work that retroactively and put Jeff with Orton, Batista, and HHH
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 He doesn't get paid if he doesn't wrestle on house shows. That's his punishment.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 No house shows, but he gets to win matches on Raw. Actually, I thought the story here is "he can't win any matches" JR was making it sound like he was jobbing to the Gobbeldygooker recently or something.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I honestly thought they were jobbing out RVD to Jeff after than Swanton.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 They should have Jeff fall under the spell of Shawn O'Haire and become the first one to fall into sin. I can't see many other ways to turn him heel and do it well and at least this gives O'Haire something to do when he comes in.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I wonder if Sean is going to try and recruit people, etc. It seems like WWE may be going for a more stable oriented show like they had back in the DX/corporation/ministry days.
Guest AndrewTS Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 Were you people watching the same match? Jeff still looked slow and clumsy to me. Surprised he didn't slip and fall on the rail runner again, and I think he fucked up the seated Jawbreaker a couple times, and he had to use it about 3 times in a 3 minute or so match. Jeff still sucks, folks.
Guest AndrewTS Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I honestly thought they were jobbing out RVD to Jeff after than Swanton. Me too, it scared the hell out of me.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 Oh yeah, Jeff still sucka, but he looked like he wasn't going to croak while in the ring.
Guest AndrewTS Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 Oh yeah, Jeff still sucka, but he looked like he wasn't going to croak while in the ring. Whoopie--give him a medal. Okay, so he's been less shitty than usual, I guess that's an improvement.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 No house shows, but he gets to win matches on Raw. Actually, I thought the story here is "he can't win any matches" JR was making it sound like he was jobbing to the Gobbeldygooker recently or something. The only loss I remember is one to Helms on Heat. I think he won a few matches on Raw during his alleged suspension, IIRC.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I hope Jeff does get recruited by O'Haire and O'Haire dominates him and they both get tremendously booed of TV forever and they both get released after jobbing in handicap to Mark Henry.
Guest converge241 Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 "I hope Jeff does get recruited by O'Haire and O'Haire dominates him and they both get tremendously booed of TV forever and they both get released after jobbing in handicap to Mark Henry. " bah your opinion is suspended from smartmarks house shows indefinetly (Smartmarks TV is okay though)
Guest dreamer420 Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I agree 100% with you. He seemed motivated last night and wasn't very sloppy at all. A good solid match by Hardy, and what looks like a slow eventual heel turn could be a great thing for him. He had the same match that he has been having on RAW the past few months but now that his character is slightly changed he is motivated. I don't think so.
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I'm still hoping that the Rico/Jeff angle mentioned in the magazine will happen. Doubt it will, but I'm still hoping.
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Jeff could have used a dose of Mattitude. Well a dose of Mattitude would be better than a dose of what he usually takes.
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Jeff sucks and he's not getting better anytime soon. Sorry guys.
Guest DarthLordOfWrestling Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I think jeff should have a heel turn. I am glad he lost to Rob.....Van.....Dam
