I dont agree about austin being a star by the time of the King Of The Ring. Austin was a midcarder at best with not much crowd reaction by the time the KOR rolled around. The Austin 3:16 saying originated on that show and solidified him as a badass.

Hmmm...I remember him being really over at the time, so maybe you're right. Althugh I'll agree that it did the most for his career than perhaps anyone else. Owen was close behind, though, too. Angle is the best recent KotR in my opinion. Brock just won it so they'd have an excuse to give him a title shot.

 

Oh, and Mick was reaming Test in "Foley is Good" like he was Snow in Have a Nice Day! I've yet to see a joke that was really off the mark.

Yeah the crowd was silent when he walked out and silent everytime he won that night. KOTR made Austin into a star. And it wasn't the actual title it was the "Austin 3:16...." afterwards but he never would've said that if he hadn't won the KOTR.
