I really don't think it wise to go ahead and waste a very big seller in what has already sold out and is likely to already get a great buy rate. I DO think eventfully we will HAVE to do the Intrapromotional show, but Certaintly not at Mania. Summer Slam would be the earlyist but I perfer it to go down at Series.

I'm telling youse, we don't need intrapromotional stuff for Mania. It's just rushing the inevitable and the inevitable should be saved for later. WMXIX is already special and sold out, why throw a wrench this late into the plans.

I think that the interpromotional matches should only occur during the InVasion PPV. It'd keep it interesting.

 

I don't want them to reunite any titles tho, no more champs avoiding certain people.

Save it for an IYH. WrestleMania will do fine. Do it the show between KOTR and SummerSlam where Angle's a face and he teams with Lesnar in a ten man tag that headlines the show, since that's probably what they'll do at SummerSlam.

I'm with you. WrestleMania is a culmination of events and feuds and it just doesn't suit the interpromotional setting. Really, you'd have to sidetrack everything and start having people come in and out. Maybe BackLash if they go through with the McMahon/HHH vs. Austin/Bischoff storyline, so that Steph can pick things up with some challenges to Bischoff.

Half of you are clamoring for intrapromotional matches, which are fine. But, the way most of you are talking about it, you don't understand the meanings.

 

"Intra-" means within, as in intramurals being competitions (i.e. basketball) within a school for members of the school to compete against other members of the same school.

 

"Inter-" means between, as in interscholastic competitions being school against another school.

Inter-promotional matches is a bad idea for WM. Just build feuds that are going on within each brand.

I agree with the general sentiments that Wrestlemania should NOT have inter-promotional cards. Save those for when they're really needed. Wrestlemania already has its legendary aura and build up and all that.

 

I wouldn't mind something like, say Survivor or an IYH being an inter-promotional card. Or do it on KOTR by having the whole tourney that night and re-arranging the winners to fight on that night interpromotionally. KOTR could become something special if they hype it up right.

 

(what i mean by that is, say on RAW that RVD, Kane, Batista, and Jericho win qualifiers, and on SD lets say Haas, Benoit, Mattitude, and Rey win qualifiers, set it up so round one is RVD v Haas, Batista v Benoit, Kane v Rey, and Jericho v mattitude, or whatever)
