Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Smackdown delivers- RAW doesn't. Another reason in the long chapter why SD>RAW
Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted January 22, 2003 I think Raw will deliver their surprise of Austin. I think the only reason people are bitching and moaning about it, and about Raw "not delivering", is that they didn't get instant gratification. Have some patience. Guest Rob Van Dam Report post Posted January 22, 2003 What i would like to see is Hogan vs Austin at mania, and then Hogan vs Vince at summerslam in hogan's final match, or they could switch those two around
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Yeah, remember how awesome it was when Hogan came back last year? And how much TV kicked ass right after it? This is a stupid fucking idea. Hogan should be in the old folks home, not trying to wrestle. Actually, I wouldn't mind them pulling a Flair with him, and sticking him in the corner of say...Edge, maybe? That way, he wouldn't be stinking up the ring, the nostalgia freaks can see Hogan, and his protege can leech off of his heat.
Guest Brian Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Hogan gets the win over Vince and tht's it. No more second runs. No more nostalgia pushes.
Guest jester Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Guys, you're fooling yourselves if you think Hogan is just going to do one last match against Vince and move on. He's here to waste time with the same promo and the same boring match until 1. He pisses off Vince again 2. Another contract dispute 3. He fucking dies in the ring Watch. He's going to part of the regular crew, squashing cruisers and budding heels like Matt Hardy.
Guest mach7 Report post Posted January 22, 2003 At this point the WWE product is such shit (aside from a few workers on Smackdown) who even cares if Hogan is back or not? He can't screw up the product much more than it already is.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Watch. He's going to part of the regular crew, squashing cruisers and budding heels like Matt Hardy. You mean like all the cruisers he squashed last time? I think Hogan is hear for an appearance at No Way Out to make Montreal happy and one final match at WM. Don't do Hogan v. Austin though- you can use Austin to put someone over not have him do a match that doesn't help anyone in the end

Austin though- you can use Austin to put someone over not have him do a match that doesn't help anyone in the end But an inter-roster feud between Hogan and Austin (Smackdown Vs Raw) starting after Wrestlemania and building up to Summerslam or Survivor Series, or even next years WM (which won't happen, unfortunatly) WILL draw ratings (and buy rates) if done right (which also won't happen unless Bischoff or Heyman book it). Guest Brian Report post Posted January 22, 2003 If you're going to do a feud like that over months and months, it's going to crumble the split. I doubt it will raise ratings, or get more than a buyrate if Hogan's overexposed like that.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted January 22, 2003 I hope they are going with Vince vs. Hogan at No Way Out, then Hogan vs. Rock/Austin at Mania and then Hogan's gone. And Bob, why are you so hell bent on having Austin come back and job, job, job? He's still got a couple years left and having him job left and right is slowly going to kill his draw value. Guest Brian Report post Posted January 22, 2003 I think Austin figured he had until Mania originally, and the time off extended that to probably SummerSlam '04. Why not just send Hogan out on a good note? If they hotshot Vince/Hogan up a show, when it should be built over more time, then Austin goes over and your left with Hogan's diminished cred doing another fucking nostalgia run. Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted January 22, 2003 That's true about building up Vince/Hogan more....that's why I kind of wish it was at Mania 20 in MSG. THAT would be a way to go out...but I dunno if the fans can stand Hogan for another year and if he'll be able to do it.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Austin should job as punishment I think and he should at first put someone over that needs it and then he can do what he wants. Austin is kind of broken down so I don't know how many years he has left. Hogan v. Vince in Montreal would be nice since they love Hogan but the match feels like a wrestlemania match to me and a lot of other people

We don't need two non-wrestler matches.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Bischoff v. Shane?? Kill me now. Vince is just trying to recreate the match at X-7 but he's going to fail miserably
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Bischoff v. Shane?? Kill me now. Vince is just trying to recreate the match at X-7 but he's going to fail miserably Just like everything else in the past year or so. More McMahons on TV. Yay.
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Don't worry. I'm sure Austin will job to HHH at Wrestlemania.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 22, 2003 I hope not- Benoit, Guerrero, Booker T, RVD could use a job from Austin a lot more then Triple H could.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted January 22, 2003 So is this "Hollywood" Hogan (beard, voodoo child, ect) or is it the Hulk Hogan?
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted January 22, 2003 I'm just waiting for this epic battle... the irresistable force meets the immovable object as HULK HOGAN battles the A-TRAIN! Hey, it would have worked in the 80's.

Guest Samurai_Goat Report post Posted January 23, 2003 Now that I think of it, Hogan is like the Scarlet letter. Everyone is happy to call it a classic novel, but no one is really willing to read it...
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted January 23, 2003 The question with this big Hogan/Vince match is.........to preserve the crappy legend that is Hulkamania, Hogan will have to squash Vince otherwise they put Vince on the level of one of the top wrestlers in the company. I mean from a storyline POV b/c we know Hogan blows chunks in real life.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 23, 2003 I don't think they will go with an actual match at NWO but more of a Major confrontation for Mania Buildup. What is with this Austin/Hogan desire? It isn't needed! Not all Dream matches need to be fulfilled...we never got Steamboat/Angle but we can't pine about that can we. Hogan is best served going over Vince...Cutting his Farewell promo and saying on as a Spokesmen. Austin can still perform and work...so why screw him with Hogan. I'd think he take HHH over Hogan. Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted January 23, 2003 YES YES YES. Hogan is going to get his final run and hopefully this time he will go out on top like he deserves.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted January 23, 2003 Go out on top? Why can't anyone go out like Foley? Putting the next big thing over?
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted January 23, 2003 He did that already last August.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted January 23, 2003 Every single major wrestler should go out on a good note. Hogan losing to Brock Lesnar is NO WAY I want to see Hogan's last apperance. Foley did it cause he came back 3 months later and stayed around....but then left in 2001 on bad terms. Foley's probably the worst story to end a carrer because he shouldn't of ended it that way, IMO.
