Guest Downhome Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 The Observer just reported this, just thought I'd share. I don't understand what they hope to gain by releasing it, unless it's PACKED LIKE HELL with extra's, and I'm talking a LOT of extra's, ugh. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest Zack Malibu Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I'm with you on wanting extra's, Downhome. Like, maybe the 10 best matches in RAW history (even though more than a few would probably be matches that couldn't crack a top 50 list, lol). I'm ashamed to say I have this atrocity stuck on tape as it is, so there is no way I'd actually PAY for it unless it had some damn good features on it.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 For some reason I'm picturing Vince flying in a giant jet labeled "RAW X Special." Suddently, AN EXPLOSION OCCURS, an electronic voice repeats "abort...abort....abort." Vince hits the ejection seat button and blasts off into the sky. Meanwhile, the jet crashes into a mountain side, exploding into lots of crappy DVD copies that land in the hands of disappointed fans everywhere. .......Exactly how this is related, or why I posted it, I have no clue.
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 It'll make an expensive coaster, but that's about it.
Guest Brian Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Fuck. With some better nominees for best match, they could have packed this thing with highlight video packages and full matches.
Guest bob_barron Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I buy like every WWE DVD- this one I'll pass on

I was taping the entire show, but then it came to the shit like the KMA Club, HHH's ass, etc... so I just stopped it right there. I haven't gotten around to recording over everything else yet. I'm serious though, this thing better be loaded to the f'n rim with extra's, showing stuff all the way back from 1993, with maybe a few things from each year.
LooseCannon25 Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Yeah right....this is WWE we're talking about folks. Even if they DID have extras you damn well know it's not gonna go back further than 98, with a tiny bit from late 97.......Do you want an example......ok......I have the best of Raw I and II dvd's...they have about 2 clips from 97 and the rest is 98-2000, and that's including the extras mind you. No thanks, i'll pass on this one

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Not to mention the blurries..
Zetterberg is God Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I'm really getting fucking sick of the blurring. It's a goddamn logo. If anyone confuses that with a goddamn panda, they have some serious problems. When you look at it, it does not mean anything, unless you are a wrestling fan. So the World Wildlife Fund really needs to get the stick out of its nature loving ass.
Guest Angle-plex Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 ::Looks at old WWF logo:: Oh my god! The World Wildlife Fund! I'm taking there ass to the bank~!
Zetterberg is God Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 The only problem was with the initials. So now that they've changed, who gives a fuck about an old logo if the old name is never mentioned again?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Yeah, I just can't see paying money for a dvd that's going to blur up half the picture...and the show was crappy enough by itself.
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I know it's never going to happen, but why not reach an agreement with the World Wildelife Fund where in exchange for not haveing to blur the logo, a small percentage of each sale goes to one of their good causes.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 When they press a million copies and sell 5, give it a year and you'll be able to buy it for 2 bucks somewhere.

Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 This is like releasing RRRRRRRROLLERBAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL on DVD.
Guest Samurai_Goat Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 There is no way I'd buy this unless heavily under the influence of some majorly tampered cheez-wizz. And even then, I'd have my doubts.
Guest Downhome Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 I didn't think they had to blur the logo's on anything but their TV and PPV programs.
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Well, I guess we can offcial say the news about how the WWE office was embarassed with this show....yet they are on HARD sell of the replay on Saturday Night AND they are now realeasing a DVD of it! What bullshit. Seriously, if this is DVD doesn't have EVERY Raw Moment in it's enterity as extras, fuck this DVD. And like you guys said....If I want to watch Raw Moments, I'll go put in the good old VHS of all my Raws I've recorded cause I don't have to worry about seeing every god-damn thing on the screen blurred out. Ditto with the Best of Raw 1 & 2 DVDs....THOSE are good.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 I never actually saw RAW X, so what's this about blurring out? I assume that's reference to the "WWF" logo, but that's a little dinky watermark in the corner. It can't be THAT big a deal, is it? And are there any links or anything to recaps so I can figure out why it sucked so much?
Guest Ram Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 a little dinky watermark in the corner And on the microphone, and on the ringposts, and on the ring, and on the entrance door...
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 a little dinky watermark in the corner And on the microphone, and on the ringposts, and on the ring, and on the entrance door... ..and anyone wearing a WWF t-shirt, any references to WWF, title belts...
Guest evenflowDDT Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Oh, they got rid of all THOSE WWF's too? Oh, that makes sense why you would all be angry then. That's like when Turner went back and colorized all those old films...
Guest Samurai_Goat Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 You know, why don't we superimpose a panda on all the WWFs? Then everyone is happy.
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 I really can't wait to see this on DVD. Really.....I can't wait........
