I dont mean fans deciding, but when guys initally debut, how does vince determine wether they should be heels or faces?

I guess it's the same way as Stephanie decides. "Hmm, I'm going to dress in a business suit - I'm face! Or should I show cleavage and be heel?"

Whatever will make Vince the most money decides.

Usually when he has huge plans for someone, he starts him out as a heel. Jones, Brock, etc. Maybe because of the way Rocky was treated when he was getting his uber-push.

However, guys he didn't really give a shit about, I think maybe it's left up to persons like Steph or Heyman, who may pitch ideas back and forth with the wrestler.

Remember how Mick Foley mentioned he met with Vince to come up with his character--maybe he does something like that, too, but Vince seemed pretty deadset on him being heel when he started in WWF, so maybe he leans towards heels anyway.

Yeah, Heels are easier to build because it easy to get them to boo you, since all you really have to do is say their football team sucks.

With all his Monsters, he figures logically that They would be better served as heels.

I can't remember the last person built as a face in WWE? Steiner I guess but he was already established in the Wrestling Community...

Yeah but Steiner was a heel the last time we saw him. And from the looks of it his shitty work is taking him down that avenue again.

I still think that he has monkeys fling crap at pictures of wrestlers. That explains the Raven/Stevie/Hurricane/Trish/Victoria/Jeff Hardy storyline. And it also explains all of the Big Shows turns. The monkeys love to fling crap at the Big Show.

I think he decides by 'that funny feeling in his pants'...

No wait, that's how he decides who gets a push...

And don't call Shane and Steph monkeys... It's insulting... To think, a monkey being lowered down the evolutionary ladder to a Mcmahon.

Speaking of Show, I want back and watched the Royal Rumble 2001, and he might have been pretty fat then, but his uniform was SO much better than he wears now. If that fat fuck comes in any other main event with black slacks and a singlet on, I'll be pissed.

He is YOUR perfect example of why people don't stay over when turned 100,087 times. Test, anyone?

Yeah, but there is a more glaring problem than that. The fact that they failed to get over much so many times that they thought turning them was the answer...so that failed more and more times.

Although Show has better mic skills than Test, and has a better excuse for sucking than Test does.

Umm..if my memory serves me correct, Test hasn't been turned that many times.

He has stayed a heel for a good while, before his recent face turn.

If anyone has been turned a lot, it has been Kane.

I can't say I care enough about Test to notice, but yeah, I'd say Kane has had a lot of that too.

If no one cheers you, are you really a face?

well, right when someone debuts, they're a face no matter what. Remember Justin Tolerable? He debuted by running in to help friggen X-Pac and got cheered. But that doesn't really answer your question, does it?

I think the obvious answer is, Depends on if Triple H wants them jobbed to him, or if he wants Jericho or Booker T to job to them.
