from wrestlingobserver.com. My favourite part is "Korean love divas. Stacy is the most favorable one." yer damn tootin' she is.

WWE house show report 1-23 Seoul, South Korea

by Sung Min Soo

It is the first that WWE visits Korea. Usually international fans are considered as a hot crowd. Thing were not quite different in South Korea. Korean fans cheered whatever move wrestlers made.

Haward Finkel Welcomed Fans to the Far East tour.

Chief Morely entered. He said that Eric Bischoff sent him to Korea. After he said that RAW is better than Smackdown, Stephanie came out. She sent Morely back to the dressing room. She appreciated sold-out crowd. (I heard that Vince Mcmahon is in Japan. He did not visited Korea.)

1st match : Hurricane defeated Steven Richards

Hurricane beat Steven Richards with Eye of Hurricane. Solid opening match. Korean loved every move that Hurricane made. (3.0/5)

2nd match : Jacky and Trish defeated molly and Victoria

Korean love divas. Stacy is the most favorable one. Next one is Trish. While Jacky and Molly brawled outside, Trish gave Victoria stratufaction. Just usual diva's match.(2.0/5)

Haward Finkel introduced Kim il.(Oki Kintaro). [ Korean champion Lee Wang Pyo and Kim Duk(Tiger Chung Lee) also attended]

3rd match : Test (w/Stacy) defeated D-Lo Brown

Fans were excited when Stacy came out. Instead of watching match, fans who is in the front row were watching Stacy. Plain match (2.5 /5)

4th match Rico defeated Spike Dudley

Rico missed a moonsault. Spike missed Dudley dogg. Rico pulled down Spike 's tights to pack up the win. Nice match ( 3.0 /5)

5th match Dudley boys defeated 3 Minutes Warnings.(table match)

Rosey charged to the corner where D-von was placed. But Rosey was eliminated when D-von escaped from the corner. They keep the match going. Rico came out and save Jamal from getting into the table. Spike came out and helped his half-brothers. Sipke tried Dudley dog to Jamal. Jemal throwed Spike to the floor. Bubba and D-von gave Jamal 3-D to the table. Plain table match (3.0 /5) Crowd was really into this match because it was the first time that they see tag team table match in person.

-Intermission-

6th match : RVD defeated Christian

Before the match started, Christian slipped while he tried to climb to the 2nd rope. RVD did rolling thunder, Monkey Flip and various his own spots. Korean Fans loved RVD. Best match of the night. RVD beat Christian by doing 5 star Frog Splash (3.5 /5).

7th match Jericho beated Tajiri

Until this match, Fans cheered the Faces and booed the Heels. But Korean cheered "Y2J". Fans did not understand why WWE made this match because Korean did not think of Tajiri as Jericho's level. Jericho insulted Korea. From then he turned himself into the Heel. Jericho missed Lionsault. Tajiri did tarantula. When Tajiro tried hurricanrana, Jericho caught legs and applied Walls of Jericho. Tajiri tapped out. (3.5/5)

8th match : Regal and Storm defeated Booker T and Goldust

When Goldust tried Golden Globe, Referee Nick Patrick stopped it. Then Regal gave Booker the belt shot and picked up the win. (3.0/5)

9th match : Kane and Scott Steiner defeated HHH and Batista(w/Flair)

Because of the name value, people were really excited. Kane carried the Face team because of Steiner's health problem.(foot) Steiner did belly to belly suplex 2 times. Kane choke slamed Batista and Steiner pinned him. Plain match. Hot crowd. Big name superstars. (2.5/5)

Notes : Some fans were disappointed when they found out that Jeff hardy did not joined the trip even though the other fans already knew about the match line-ups. Almost everybody were satisfied after the event was finished.

No, the best is that even the Koreans, who can't get a show, can't be bothered to watch a Test match.

just a thought on this show, did they think the korean fans would pop for tajiri against jericho? are the aware of the animosity between koreans and japanese or did they just think they look vaguely alike so they'll go for him? what ignorant booking. that's as ridiculous as trying to play william regal off as the home-town boy in scotland.

Am I the only one that wants to see these two have at least SOME sort of angle...that doesn't involve Trish or Victoria? We've already seen they work well together in the ring, and they both put on good promos. Sure Hurricane would be better for SD, but if he HAS to be on Raw, then why not put him give him something to do?

"Korean Fans loved RVD."

Someone call Korea and tell them that things like this don't matter to anyone important. It will save them the trouble of waiting around for his push.

"Best match of the night"

This also does not matter.

hurricane - richards would be decent enough, better than ever seeing "Rico pulled down Spike 's tights to pack up the win" on our tv screens. ewww.

Of course not, Bps, the guys getting pushes (Steiner, H, Batista, test) were, as usual, in the worst matches (Men) of the night. And the fans couldn't even be bothered to watch Test.

Vince: Those Koreans are WEIRD. How could they think that RVD and Christian put on a better match than Steiner, Kane, Triple H, and Batista? We're never putting on a show for THOSE people ever again.

i hardly think vince is that stupid. he just realises rvd doesn't have the necessary range of skills to be a franchise player. he's a talented midcard performer, but a stoned-sounding gymnast is never going to set the mainstream on fire. get over it.

Set the mainstream on fire?

Who's asking anyone to do that? HHH isn't setting shit on fire either.

We're asking the same thing we've been asking since July 2001. Give the fans what they want. Not what you think they want.

Time goes by, main eventers come and go, and RVD remains more over than them. It's high time someone dealt with THAT and not reasons why RVD can't main event on that shitty show. All those reasons should be reasons why he shouldn't be that over too. But there he is.

A guy doesn't have to be 7 feet tall to get away with being a main eventer with no mic skills and even less talent. Vince is still thinking in the 80's where RVD can't cut it because he's too small.

Period.

What about Chin--er, no...Russia--er, no...

Yeah, the Japanese have made a hell of a lot of enemies. Shame they couldn't have Tajiri play an American for one night. :P

He was 7'0 to Taker's 6'10 1/2 when he first showed up. Since then, they've shrunk in the wash.

I guess Morely is in the doghouse too.

Steiner did belly to belly suplex 2 times

I'm guessing he forgot to press "2" one more time when writing this.

RVD does main evnt on that shitty show. he main evented raw last year more than anyone other than hhh. it's just his push is never sustained cause he's not marketable enough to hold interest. he's mildly over but not super over like an austin or a rock were to warrant their super pushes.

the 7 feet tall monsters you talk about don't receive sustained pushes either. the kanes and the big shows drift in and out of the main event scene just as much as the rvds and the jerichos do. the fact is there is no one mcmahon has the confidence in to build his company around right now because there is no one who is charismatic enough to bring in the mainstream crossover audience that hogan, austin or rock did.

so we get endless hhh and undertaker because they rode the wave of the last boom and are still recognizable stars in the mainstream, which is the attention vince craves. wrestling fans will stay with the product, so as long as your rvds, jerichos and benoits are even on the card, that's all that matters businesswise as far as keeping the wrestling fans happy. so rvd will continue to be there or thereabouts until the next big thing arrives, but he will never, ever be the whole f'n show, not as long as it's vince's show.

vince is not anti-talent, as many people seem to have the ridiculous notion. he is pro-money, and the best workers are rarely the ones who draw the great unwashed to the arenas, as frustrating as that is to people like us who love the product. don't you think if rvd had a hope in hell of making money for him, he'd be pushing him to the moon right now?
