Anyone had any trouble with the crowd itself at events? Like getting heat for liking/disliking a certain wrestler?

Well, I was laying into Nash quite a bit, but nobody seemed to care because the crowd was mostly marks who thought Stone Cold would really reappear after a one week walk-out, but once I stood up and shouted "HBK SUCKS" I got three random screams telling me to shut my mouth and that HBK ruled.

This was while he was in the NWO mind you, and during a Booker T match, and Booker was THE most popular guy of the entire show. Seeing that all my Clique bitching was almost in-line with the kayfabe storyline, I didn't expect all that return bitching from my section for my one line of Shawn hate.

That show was in Oakland no? I was at that RAW. The week after Austin walked out.

I too was berating HBK throughout the show, and had the same problem with some teenage girls who loved shawn. They were even trying to start an HBK chant. To no avail, however, as my quick witted friends and I would slip in a 'sucks' between their pauses. Genius, no? :D

Anyways, the show was pretty okay with X-Pac jobbing to RVD, Booker getting a great reaction, and Rock making a surprise appearance. However, the row in front of me was occupied by retards. No joke, they were mentally disabled folk who became incredibly mad at my group and others around the arena when the crowd would randomly 'woo' now and then. And this was before the show started. Flair turned face that same show when Benoit and Guerrero put the boots to him in one of 3 interview segments.

Good times.

Here's crap for you. The WWE returns to Baltimore for a TV show after who knows how long ... and the highlight of the show is that we found out that it was indeed Triple H that jumped HBK the previous week in the parking lot.

I wanted to shoot myself.

I went to the Smackdown before the Royal Rumble 2001, when HHH had his first match on television post injury. I had three huge women behind me screaming that the Undertaker was going to win the Royal Rumble and he couldn't be stopped. The show was prett great, I even got to see DDP Diamond Cut Bossman and get re-instated, but those women and the geeky smark with the biggest mullet I've ever seen beside me plus that damned light always shining in our face didn't help.

I've gotta say Smackdown from this past 2/26 in Boston. Just a horrible show "highlighted" by the Austin/NWO "net gun" incident.

I've only been to 3 house shows and a WCW Saturday Night taping, since now WWE only comes to SW Florida once a year.

Anyway, the worst show was in Ft Myers in October 1999, before No Mercy. The show was absolutely horrible. No HHH, no Rock, no Mankind, etc. (they had all been there the show prior) I had to sit through Meanie & Stevie vs. Viscera & Mideon, X-Pac vs. Jerry Lawler, and the only redeemable matches were E&C vs. Hardys (during their tournament), and Jarrett vs. X-Pac. The main event was "One Fall to a Finish" Kane vs. Big Show. Yeah. And Kane won after...wait for it...Viscera splashed Big Show by accident.

Um, yeah.

It wasn't necessarily bad.. but the last show I went to was a house show in October 02. The card had RVD v. Flair and Angle v. Kane and that's basically all I remember... nothing really great. Just sort of blah compared to the glitz and glamour of the TV shows I've went to in the past with all of the top guys there.

I was at that one too, with friends and a "DUD" sign. Seing glimpses of that while Jeff Hardy was standing on the turnbuckle made my day.

I've only been to one live event before: Smackdown at the Key Arena in August. I loved the show, but I had problems with the large Samoan guys behind me who kept threatening to beat me up whenever I held my signs up.

I have only been to one WWE event (the RAW at MSG after Summerslam last year, sure I live closer to the Nassau Coliseum, but I don't wanna go to that dumphole). Jericho had this scathing promo (something about the Rangers, and also singing "NY, NY", cut to a commercial during promo) that sent the crowd into chants of "SHUT THE FUCK UP" (clap-clap-clap-clap). Except for me. Two 12 year-olds start yelling at me, but thank god they were sitting far away enough to not do anything. It was also the last RAW that BROCK~! was on. :sniff:

Also.....a montage aired before the dark match:

Biggest pops for montage:

Hogan

Warrior

Austin

Jimmy Snuka

Bret Hart

Biggest heel heat for montage:

Luger

Rock

Quite funny, actually.

-Being there live at Survivor Series 97. It was an historic event, but it just sucked to see Bret get screwed. Plus the crowd was getting hostile.

No offense but I can do you one better.

I was there the day AFTER SS97. The crowd was near riot when HBK mocked Bret and we were even more pissed off when the guys we came to see(Hart Foundation) skipped the show as did Mick Foley. The pothetic HHH/Shamrock ME didn't help. The show was absolutely atroscious and the crowd ready the riot during every break. Funny thing is I saw atleast two guys try to rush Hebner but couldn't get over the rail cause of security. Hebner looked legit scared although during the ocmmercial breaks HBK milked his heat for all it's worht by taunting Bret, pissing off the crowd even worse.

November 2001- The Smackdown with the Austin/Regal strap match. My friends and I almost got into a fight with Edge and Christian look-a-likes after booing The Rock. A strange night.

That was my worst experience. Best was WrestleMania XIV, followed by WrestleMania X-7.

Yup, same show. Although I marked out like a mofo when Benoit's music hit, I wish that they didn't spend so long beating up on Flair. It was starting to get a little tired after the third leglock or so. =b

A girl behind me shouted "Be careful with Grandpa!" which made me feel kind of depressed and my Dad (who's in the Hogan/Flair age range) feel even worse.

Best part of the show was hearing the entire place deflate when the Glass Breaking turned into "LATINOOOO HEAAAT"

Sorry to hear about your dim-witted teenage girls. We had twenty-something girls behind us who were Hardy marks, but at least they were MATT Hardy marks, and pretty indifferent to Jeff. Watching Matt get thrown all over by Taker had it's own commentary in our section though, as the squealing and remarks like 'Oh no, poor baby' were starting to get out of hand.

Plus, as the Rock was giving his segment of the night and everyone was chanting and cheering, a guy with a crazy look in his eyes was being escorted up the row next to me by security. Funfun.

Worst experience was probably KOTR 2000. I just hated the Patterson/Brisco bullshit and I could care less about the Rock, so the only thing that I really enjoyed was Angle winning the KOTR (even though I wanted Benoit in the first place).

Best was Rumble 2003, definately.

Had a horrible time at a JCW show about 3 or so years ago. There was no seats and I couldn't see shit, not too mention all of the matches were just hardcore comedy. UGH

Well that's what you get when you trust ICP to put on a decent wrestling show.

I went to a Smackdown taping back in October and it wasn't too bad... it was more interesting. Just the mark I was sitting next to. He was definately in his 40s, but major mark. We had a dark match of Shannon Moore/Spanky (which I think was one of the ones to get Spanky his contract). It was one of the best matches of the night, not even televised. This guy was trying to tell me how boring it was because we got "Some new guy vs. Some no name". I explained "Well, Moore is new to WWE, but did you ever see him and Hurricane team up in WCW in 3 Count with another guy". He told me he never would watch WCW because there was no Undertaker. I told him how Spanky was one of the hottest names on the independent circuit and I don't think he was understanding the indys, which I guess I can understand because I mean, I consider myself pretty knowledgeable, but do not know too much about indys, other than some of the big names. He wouldn't give it the time of day because he wasn't familiar with them. One of the best matches of the night though. He was still nice however, but I think he got irritated when my friend and I were marking out for "Mattitude" beating up the Undertaker.
