It features: - a dynamic crowd - two face in peril segments, both with great heat - good face work by Windham and Luger and good heel work by Anderson and Blanchard - a satisfying title change, even for heel fans It's the best example of a Tully Blanchard match that has all the roles he played well. Ditto for Arn. Ditto for Luger. That Barry fella has been in a couple more great matches though. Tim
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Tully's wars with Dusty and Magnum are legendary. The guy wasn't particularly big but his character was so vicious and underhanded, at one point,he may have been the most hated man in wrestling.

Plus, like everyone else has said, great worker, great talker, could brawl or wrestle. And why has no one stolen the slingshot suplex as a move yet?!?

My character Frost does indeed use the slingshot suplex as part of his regular moveset. I put it in because of Tully and because no one uses it anymore. I also use a heart punch as a set up move.
EL DANDY~! Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 Tully was one of the staples of the Horsemen. When he and Arn tagged, it was like watching poetry in motion. Those guys were just AWESOME heels. Also, his match with Magnum TA is absolutely brutal from the clips I've seen, and I can't wait to see it in full. Aside from a couple matches with Shane Douglas...YOU know the one...he's a great worker, a great heel, and respected every one. He was one of the best.

Both he and Magnum came out looking like tough mmofos. I also just found out how good he was at putting a match together.

The match built with Cornette and Dillon both cheating for their teams at any oppurtunity. Lots of near falls that the crowd ate up. I know the title didnt change hands, so Im thinking it was a Double DQ finish. It had to go about 25 min.

He's preachin down in NC these days, I'm trying to get him to marry me and my fiancee when we get hitched at the outer banks next year.
