Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I got into an argument with someone about this, because they derided the good name of my... well, name. So, which is the better eating utensil? Think practically, people, not like in terms of weapons or something. And totally ignore the fact that a guy named Patrick Spoon made this poll.
Guest EQ Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Spoon... NO DOUBT. You can do everything you can do with a fork AND you can eat soup.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Fork. I like to stab stuff.
Guest Kinetic Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 You can't cut steak with a spoon, while the fork is a valuable assistant tool in that endeavor. Then again, it's hard to eat cereal with a fork. Ultimately, steak > cereal, so I'm forced to side with the fork. This topic may prove once and for all how practical the spork really is.
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I'm adding a write in vote for guns.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 What about the spork? Its the best of both worlds.
Guest EQ Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 If you really wanted to, you could hold down your steak with the spoon and use your knife to cut it. The fork doesn't cut anything. You can also use the edge of the spoon to cut through meat that's not too tough.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Does anybody know a Patrick Fork around here... or a Patrick Spork...
Guest AM The Kid Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I've always had a thing against spoons...I dont know why. But hey, forks are good for gouging out eyes!
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Didn't I say to NOT think in terms of a weapon?
Guest Will Scarlet Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I always preferred the spork. Sporks are awesome.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Fork...it just serves more earthly purposes.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I always preferred the spork. Sporks are awesome. Unite Spork Marks!!
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Shit, fork is dragging spoon... mustn't let the person who made me create the poll know...
Guest RobJohnstone Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Spoons rule. You can hold liquid such as milk from cereal or soup. Also you can use the sides to cut weak meat. Spoons are superior. --Rob
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Fork. In a pinch, most cereals can be consumed with a fork, and it's easier to do that than to use a spoon to eat a dead cow/pig/chicken/fish/etc...
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I'll have to side with the Fork, i don't have soup, cereal or anything of that vein often enough to get much use out of a spoon.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Definitely the fork. Whenever I eat soup, which is very very rarely, it'll usually be in a cup, and I'll just sip the shit. Soup's a pretty pointless food anyway. Insubstantial.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Why's everyone got a woody over the spork? It's not useful as a spoon, due to the irregularity in its surface, and as a fork, it falls short due to the curvature of the applied edge. Make a commitment and quit being a middling shit, you fools. FORK OR SPOON??
Guest RobJohnstone Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Plus AOO, the pricks on the fork part of the spork break off easily because it is plastic. --Rob
Guest EQ Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Well, I'm sure someone somewhere has made a metal spork
Guest RobJohnstone Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I have never seen one. --Rob
Guest EQ Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Me neither, but you know... if I ever came across one, I wouldn't be surprised by its existence.
Guest RobJohnstone Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 good point. me either --Rob
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I've seen a metal spork. It was part of a camping utility knife.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 The Spork is pure evil. Man is not supposed to play god with kitchen utensils.
Guest BifEverchad Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I'd have to say a fork as well. I mean, most of the foods I enjoy are eatin' with a fork. I don't eat much cereal, nor do i have soup all that often, so no big loss. Can you picture eating a plate of spaghetti with a spoon? Nah, me neither... so to those who like spoons better......go FORK yourself!
EL DANDY~! Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Spoon. all the fuckin way...I'm endorsed by Kotz, you know...
Guest RugbyDiva Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 fingers... who the hell eats strawberries and whipped cream with a fork or spoon? Jeeeez....
