Guest MrRant Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I love Pacino but I give De Niro the nod for Goodfellas, Wag The Dog and Casino which are 3 of my favorite movies.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I gotta go with Bobby D as well...as a whole I just like his work better.
Guest razazteca Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 other! Heat ruled But if I had to choose then De Niro
Guest red_file Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Have to go with Pacino. Neither really play much outside of their established roles, but I like Pacino's act a bit better. Less grating.
Guest DrTom Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Pacino. De Niro has been a parody of himself in his last few roles.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 DeNiro, but I love both. Both have basically done the same act over their career, but i personally think DeNiro over his career has been slightly more daring in his role selection.
Guest imajackoff? Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Even though his recent forays into comedy have frightened me, I'll still give the nod to Deniro.
Guest MrRant Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I though De Niro did a good job in the Analyze movies.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 DeNiro hasn't done anything that really impressed me since Goodfellas. But Goodfellas, Mean Streets, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, King of Comedy, The Deer Hunter, and Godfather II.
Guest converge241 Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Pacino pretty easily for me.. the clinchers are his performances in Serpico and Godfather I and II Deniro is an actor that is great and one of my favs, but IMO Pacino is a few notches ahead
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 De Niro all the way. King of Comedy, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Casino, Deer Hunter, Goodfellas... Fuggedaboutit.
Guest EQ Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 My vote goes to Pacino, but that does not mean DeNiro isn't awesome as well. I just happen to prefer Pacino
Guest godthedog Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Pacino. De Niro has been a parody of himself in his last few roles. and pacino hasn't been a parody of himself for the last twelve years?
EL DANDY~! Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 If you go all the way back to the beginning, I can remember Scarface and the Godfather series, Deniro, you got Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino, Deer Hunter...I love em both, but it's Deniro
Guest Gamengiri2002 Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Pacino: The Godfather Series Serpico Dog Day Afternoon Scarface Carlito's Way Heat The Insider Insomnia Scent of a Woman GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS~! Donnie Brasco Any Given Sunday I hold no particular actor allegiances, but all of these have made it into my rather limited DVD collection. Definately says something about ole' Al.
Guest Mr. Pink Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 De Niro is my pick. Pacino is great, but for the past few movies, his acting has either been talking fastor screaming. De Niro is just, IMO, better.
Guest Choken One Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 De Niro. My Order of Actors. 1. De Niro 2. Hanks 3. Pacino 4. Stewart 5. Pitt
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 De Niro. Bronx Tale, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, Ragin Bull, Godfather P.2, Casino, Mean Streets, King of Comedy...the list goes on.
Guest Sassquatch Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 DeNiro. While I think both of them are self parody’s of themselves along with having lost a stpe or two in their acting abilities, DeNiro has been able to somewhat stay away from the roles that would have typecast him whereas Pacino seems content with picking the roles of a raving lunatic who always has some kind of deal going on off on the side. Both men have been very lacking over the last decade or so in their roles when compared to their past performances.
Guest Downhome Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 It's close, as I love MOST of the films with either guy, but I give the nod to DeNiro for this line right here... ..."I've got nipples Greg, could you milk me?". That might be my favorite comedic line in the history of film.
Guest JangoFett4Hire Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 At what point in his career did he become "New Pacino"? you know what i mean- the raspy, cigarette ravaged voice, the chaotic overracting, etc? Watch one of his earlier performances like GF or dog Day Afternoon, then watch GF # (bua ha ha ha) or Heat, you'll see a distinct difference. Can anyone pinpoint where the metamorphisis occurred? I'm guessing Author! Author! but not positive.
Guest TheCynicalHateMongerFromHell Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 Pacino hasn't been good since Serpico and DeNiro has been pumping out pointless cinematic excrement since Raging Bull. Is there a neither option?
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 I love them both in a non-ghey way but i gotta give the nod to Pacino.
Guest godthedog Posted February 6, 2003 Report Posted February 6, 2003 Pacino hasn't been good since Serpico and DeNiro has been pumping out pointless cinematic excrement since Raging Bull. Is there a neither option? right...cause god knows 'goodfellas', 'the king of comedy' & 'heat' were all pointless cinematic excrement.
