"Sting said he has not closed the door on working for the WWE. He has talked to Vince McMahon over the last year and would entertain the idea. He said Wrestlemania last year was almost a done deal but it wasn't done in time. He wants to come in with a great storyline and give the fans true bang for their buck. Sting did say he will not go on the road full time. He would do TV once or twice a week and certainly a pay per view once a month."

Fuck him, We already got one aged past his prime god boy...we don't need another.

If he won't do an almost full schedule than forget him. The WWE doesn't need someone whose allowed to only work 9 days a month.

Remember when Vince used to rip on WCW because all they did was employ old people?

Yep.

This would rock. I always wanted to see the Stinger in WWE.

So The New Born Christian wants the life of Booze drugs sex and Violence again...guess Facing Painting a Crucifix isn't as rewarding when your sitting at home.

If you look back, Sting was just one of those Character wrestlers, he didn't have a impressive moveset anyway, but knew how to tap into the audience with character developement.

Sting and HBK the Holy Avengers!

I Smelllll Ratings espically if Sting goes against the Dark Lord in the form of...Sean O Haire!

Why even care? Sting wasn't a draw, U can't say that it was Sting alone that drew the fans in 1997, because NWO did play a crucial role in that angle...Sting was ALWAYS at the top but he never fully got it done...I don't think the fans would care about another WCW hasbeen flooding the scene.

I'd like to see Sting as a booker, but he is too past his prime to wrestle. I'm sure Sting doesn't want to be seen as the "old guy." It's bad enough Hogan and Flair ocassionally get in the ring.

As much as I would mark out, I still think it's a mistake... in the long run it's not going to help anything. I think he should go to NWA TNA... it would benefit them, but in the end, it wouldn't benefit WWE

im telling you

Sting - Taker, while not a great in ring clinic, would be great using all the visual aspects /mythology of the characters

i assume some people will be along any second with the "will never happen" replies as they always do

Keep him out of my TNA! We have old people problems of our own!

redneck, your "Lex is justice! Lex is Rule!" quote just pissed me and a bunch of other people off...but in all reality, Sting coming back wouldn't be too bad...it wouldn't be great, but it wouldn't be horrible...

Say what you will about Hogan, but Flair still has "it" when he's motivated... see Austin/Flair from Austin's last RAW appearance for example

Who would he honestly fued with? Huh? Flair again? I really can't see him working in today's environment...Steiner works somewhat well because they still employed roided monsters...Flair stands above all others...Page still cared...I just don't see Sting working out for WWE.

Because I find him entertaining and I like to watch him wrestle? <_<

Yeah and last year I couldn't have EVER imagined seeing Bischoff working for Vince McMahon, but it happened didn't it? I'm not saying I'm in favor of it... but I've learned to never say never.

I think Flair's the greatest wrestler ever...but I don't enjoy watching him now.

That's why I have tapes.

Older wrestlers aren't terrible if you set them properly in their spots, thats how HBK still comes off Somewhat Decent, and he is the best of the Older generation in the WWE.

Hogan and Flair are slower, Nash hell he is Quad prone, and Steiner can only belly to belly, Sting coming in, if he does would have to be timed well in his spots and put against people of his speed.

Of course he's not as good as he once was, but I was quite impressed with his work last year... not ALL of his work, but he stood out on several different occassions. I'll take Flair's current ringwork over Test's any day of the week and twice on Sunday

This week, the legendary Sting joined the No Holds Barred radio show and

here are the highlights.

Sting put over the WWA and the upcoming pay per view where he will work with

Lex Luger. He said its great to be back in the ring with the WWA after being

out 18 months. He felt better and better as the tour went on.

Sting joked as he remembered a conversation with himself, the Ultimate

Warrior and Jerry Jarrett. Back in Memphis, Jarrett told the both of them to

find another line of work when they were starting out. Sting remembered how

bad they were but they obviously improved and went on to have great careers.

Sting talked about the last Nitro where he worked against Ric Flair. He said

that was the way to go out. He said Flair always helped him through his

career. He said although Flair and him only had 8 minutes to wrestle that

night, it was still Sting verses Flair. He remembered the classic match they

had at the Clash of Champions where they went for 45 minutes.

Sting said the most fun time in his great career was the Sting verses the

NWO angle. He loved the look with the white paint and the ball bat. He said

the creative juices in WCW were at an all time high during that period.

Sting gave Scott Hall the credit for the idea for the new look. He said the

look reminded him of a combination of Kiss, Marilyn Manson and the Rocky

Horror Picture show.

Sting said he has not closed the door on working for the WWE. He has talked

to Vince McMahon over the last year and would entertain the idea. He said

Wrestlemania last year was almost a done deal but it wasn't done in time. He

wants to come in with a great storyline and give the fans true bang for

their buck. Sting did say he will not go on the road full time. He would do

TV once or twice a week and certainly a pay per view once a month.

Sting feels his greatest accomplishment in his great career was turning WCW

into a huge success. He remembered WCW being second class citizens and to

see them turn into what they became was a huge thrill for him.

He talked about Lex Luger being frustrated overseas with the WWA tour. Lex

was sick with bronchitus and was battling a hip injury. He only had 3 weeks

to get ready for the tour and Lex was 300 pounds when the tour started. With

the injuries, Lex still worked and finished the tour.

Sting doesn't rule out Hollywood but would like one last hurrah to say

goodbye to the fans. He said many fans come up to him and tell him they want

him to come back. He said he would love to be involved in 1 last meaty

storyline and then he would put over who they wanted him to put over.

Sting's favorite superstars to watch are Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy. He

loves how they both work and could watch them all day.

interview. The No Holds Barred radio show airs Sunday nights from 9 to 11 PM

on 101.5 WPDH.

I guess he's never seen The Crow...

Yeah, I really was worried that They get a Gimmick Infringment lawsuit during the angle...

Guest converge241

yeah no kidding

until he incorporated the marilyn manson extra lines to the paint it was exactly the crow , especially the first few times

he even had a damn bird with him on a nitro!!

it wasnt a crow but i mean come on..that little kids voice too just like sarah in the crow

Guest Trivia247

even when he was recovering from the Bret Hart match he had at Havok in 98 the announcers wondered how will Sting return? The Sting of the 80"s the Wolfpac Sting, or the CROW Sting...

oye.

it is obviosuly gimmick infrigement that Time Warner especially didn't want the headache of. the character orignally was probably gonna be based like the Crow, with a Risen from the Dead stuff, but the warning bells went off and they had to change it around..

They just wanted to make a Undertaker character LOLLLL

At least he's willing to put someone over. I don't think you'd hear Goldberg saying anything like this.

Didn't they even have a segment where the lights flickered on and off and the bird flew to the ring (it was a Vulture) and Bischoff went after it and it flew away as some young girl's voice over gave a speech and they showed Sting with his head down and NWO terrified?

Guest converge241

yes they did but the bird screwed up somehow if I remember correctly

(apparently hes been banished to hosting Velocity Saturdays at The World since his screw up)
