Brock/Angle guaranteed to be ****+?

Understand I love both Angle and Brock to death, and their WM match will certainly be fun to watch, but I can't for the life of me realize why many people think this will be a classic. Sure, Angle is a god in that ring, but Brock hasn't had anything better than his *** match with Rock, and arguably a good brawl with Taker in the cell. What about him gives this match the great chances of being a technical masterpiece?

I'd love to be proved wrong at WM, and witness a ****, superhot title match. But why is everyone so sure it'll happen?

Anyone think there is a chance we might see the SSP at Mania? I finally got around to downloading the video off Kazaa and it was incredible. Granted, the ropes were REALLY stringy and bouncy but Brock looked pretty good doing it.

because it's a move that we (at least I) haven't seen anybody but cruisers do, and someone Brock's size doing it is great and would probably pop the crowd pretty huge.

I think that because WM is the biggest show of the year that Angle and Brock will both go out of their way to make it the best possible match they can have. I believe they can break ****'s easy...or at least hit that plateau. I'm not expecting ***'s.

 

It's BROCK and ANGLE...too actual trained mat wrestlers who will push themselves to do their best given the circumstances of being the WWE Championship Match at Wrestlemania...

I think it will a decent-to-good match, but if Angle let's his penchant for wanting to call the match take over, it might get ugly.

1)Both men bump like fucking Gods.

 

2)The Psychology. There is so much stuff they can do. I bet all the agents in the back are wetting their lips and getting on Vinces good side to be able to book this one.

 

3)The heat should be off-the-charts with the amount of time they have invested in Angle vs. Brock.

 

4)JR and King won't be announcing.

One of the reasons might be because WWE hasn't really let Brock show off his skills, which he must have, you don't become NCAA champ but dropping F5s and powerbombs, and they think that with Angle, in a match between two former amateur wrestlers, he will be allowed to bust loose with some stuff. After all Angle had expressed wanting to work with more agile wrestlers.

Eliminate Submisson and Savage did all that along with Drawing power, Interview skills and was well before his time.

High Flying- check

Hard Striking- check. the man had some awesome jabs and elbows.

Innovative/Influential- well his psycho gimmick and wife beating gimmick were great. Plus he outworked everyone in the WWE when he showed up.

Strong Workrate- you better believe it

Submission skills- he never did submissions

Wrestling skills- he could pull off some pretty solid wrestling.

 

Of course this is all pre-93 Savage.

I consider total package being able to use what is available to you and make something that the fans will actually care about, whether they are a heel or a face. Angle knows how to use his wrestling skill, his workrate, his submission skills, his high flying, and etc etc to make someone the fans can just hate......or he can turn it to where he can get tons of cheers for doing nothing more than changing opponents.

 

He knows how to use what he has to make an impact. It might not be a true total package...but that is what every wrestler should have...and 85% of them do not have those skills to begin with.

 

It's sad really, but then again - I probably couldn't do it either
