Guest Kingpk Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 Well, since my plug of Backlash 1999 actually generated some discussion, I thought I'd plug my review of WWF Most Memorable Matches of 2000 and see what others thought of that great year of wrestling and if the WWF(E) can reach that level again. Read and discuss.
Guest AndrewTS Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I gotta better deal on it. A buck at the FYE bargain bin. I got that one myself--video quality is a bit iffy but a great buy. I suggest people check out those bins. I managed to find Unforgiven on VHS marked down because someone confused it with "The Unforgiven" and managed to sell it online for profit! The WM Jericho/Angle/Benoit match wasn't that good, although it was above average. Angle was not yet his current awesome self, and they weren't quite used to all working together yet. Otherwise, I'd say pretty awesome look at the tape.
Guest Kingpk Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 No, I got it when it came out in December of 2000. The FYE near me is closing so they had major markdowns on tapes and DVDs (40-50% off), but the wrestling section was cleaned out by the time I got there. All that was left was a few backyard tapes. No thank you.
EL DANDY~! Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I'd actually buy the seperate PPVs themselves, since all the ones where the single matches they were selected out of were pretty damn good themselves. That a kid, Kingpk, that a kid...
Guest bob_barron Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I also reviewed that tape back in the day Kingpk. I remember hearing rumblings about it on the board and went out and picked it up and the tape just blew me away. Most Memorable 1999 is pretty good as well.
Guest wwF1587 Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 i love that tape, 2000 was truly an awesome year.... i wish they would of made it a two volume tape set or put it on dvd and included more.. ahh good times
