Omori leaving NOAH was reported this morning. What's everybodys opinion on this, him as a worker, and where he should end up at? I have puroesu videos, but none of his matches. I only this I've seen of him wrestling was the '96 Royal Rumble, his match from TNA with Shamrock, and his match with Sonny Siaki on the 9/23/02 ROH show. From that footage, I'm not impressed by him. How good is he really? I'd like to hear your responses.

He's not bad, but he isn't great, either. He was a very popular wrestler in NOAH, but was never given the chance to go over because of everyone in front of him. It's better that he goes off and finds a new direction, I think.

I haven't watched it in ages, but he had this ridiculously good match against Kobashi in the 2000 Carny Final. I remembered it being easily his best match ever and right around ****. This would be the last worthwhile match in AJ history as far as I'm concerned.

Omori will wind up either in NJPW or with Chosyu's new federation. This is a bad blow for NOAH, Omori was a pretty good worker, and was really popular.

Yes, this is the same guy. But in his defense (having seen that match and a few others he has worked) it wasn't his fault and that match is not representative of his work. That match was a total cluster from beginning to end.

Wasn't Takao in Misawa's dog house for most of his NOAH stay anyhow? I'd think this would be a great career move for him, since now maybe he can move on from the "shoot" incident with Hashimoto that Zach Arnold is always pointing to as the cause for Omori's burrial.

Shamrock vs. Omori was only an excuse for Malice (or whatever The Wall calls himself nowadays) to jump Shamrock to advance a bad angle. The match wasn't supposed to be good.

Omori was a really good worker, until Takayama got his act together with his human punching bag routine, he was the highlight of Team No Fear.
