Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 hmmm....it hasn't been all high spots. A good deal of this match has actually made some sense.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted February 13, 2003 With an injured knee, Young misses a top rope moonsault. Single leg crab from Lynn, and after pulling Young away from the ropes, Lynn locks him in the STF. Young taps. Erik Watts lives! Paul London is the last one in, and this should kick all forms of ass. Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 13, 2003 lol......no offense but who really gives a fuck how they look? Well, when I'm watching a wrestler, I like to watch guys who are in shape. If they're not in great shape, I want them to wear a t-shirt because it makes them look more legit. When Rave is out there with that baby flab hanging off of him, he looks like shit. Ummm ok........like I said, I could give a fuck less how a wrestler looks or not, or if they wear a t-shirt or not, as long as they work hard and entertain. I don't think physical looks has shit to do with being entertaining.
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Good to see they've done the smart thing with London and Lynn in last, hopefully they give them plenty of time.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 13, 2003 This is good stuff here
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 The match and announcing is doing a good job putting London over as a player. I hope they can keep using him.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Lynn blocked it! Awesome spot!
Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Wow, excellent sequence there with the Shooting Star
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Lynn pulls it off after a pretty nice sequence of counters at the end. Good stuff. This was one of the smarter booked X matches I've seen in a long while.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Konnan comes down.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 I like this Konnan angle. He's pretty effective on the mic with this angle, IMO.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Ummm what about Malenko, Jerry?
Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 13, 2003 WHOA, SAT TURN?!!!
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Oh man. He just pulled the "you'll never be a high flyer" card on Konnan. And the SATs join his side.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted February 13, 2003 I loved that final sequence. Lynn gets knees up out of awesome SSP, roll up. Lynn then is able to get the Cradle Piledriver for the win. All the wrestlers (minus those dastardly Wildside two, Young and Mamaluke) show respect for Lynn. Lynn even does the Shark Boy fin! Lordy, it's Konnan. "Or should I call you Mr. J.L.?" Yes! "You were in the back parading around in a mask pretending that maybe you were from Mexico, maybe you were trained in Mexico." Lynn says he was the only American who could hang with 'em and make them look good. Man, Lynn's mic is fucked up, but luckily they fix it. Lynn says he took stuff from the Japanese and Mexican styles of wrestling, and that's the X-Division. "You're just jealous because you're not a high flyer like Psychosis, Juvi, or MYSTERIOUS." Nice one. The SAT join with Konnan and beat up Shark Boy, Rave, and Lynn.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Don't ruin this by putting them with Russo.......... Oh thank god, I thought Konnan and Co. was going to SEX I loved that segment with Konnan and Lynn squaring off there.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Thank god. I was afraid Konnan and SATs would join SEX. Keep them seperate and we have an interesting X angle to compliment the X title picture.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Next week: Styles vs. Jarrett for the NWA title. I bet I don't get any more matches announced before my preview is up.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 13, 2003 I like Ravens new music. This should be fun stuff here to end the show, last hour has really taken off here as quality. Those tag matches in the beginning of the show sure did suck though.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted February 13, 2003 So much for that jackass on the board who said Shocker was coming in. I love Konnan on the mic, and as long as he stays away from the ring (minus maybe one match), I'll be happy. Sandman vs. Raven will be Falls Count Anywhere. Some jackass in the crowd has a sign that says, "Babe Ruth fears Meltzer," along with "NWA Needs New Jack."
Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Looks like TNA is copying WCW and is doing rehashes of familiar tunes, Sandman with a rehash of Enter Sandman for his theme.
syxx2001 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 maybe shocker comes in next week? or the week after?
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Ohh lord, there's a guardrail in the ring. Not to spoil anything, but in XPW Sandman has been thrown from the top rope, and then from the top of a ladder onto a guardrail. Both times he ended up bending the frickin' guardrail. Thats typical Sandman, did it all the time in ECW too. I would bet we'll see more luchadores soon though, Shocker could very well show up next week.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 I'm having flashbacks. Sandman... Raven... small arena... weapons... All to familiar.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted February 13, 2003 I wouldn't be shocked to see some luchadores added. As a start, turning the SATs at least makes a little sense. I figure they'll be played against Red in the near future, and that should be interesting.
Guest Galactic Gigolo Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Compared to Viking Hall, this place is a fucking stadium. Match is an okay brawl. Kind of plodding at points.

Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Jeez, Low Ki has done 3 run ins tonight, a lil too much IMO. Here comes Corino now though.......cool
Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 13, 2003 This is starting to remind me of last week, just a mess of brawling.
