Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted February 14, 2003 I hate when sitcoms get serious or gradually turn into soap operas. Like the mantra was at Seinfeld's writing offices: NO HUGS. NO LESSONS LEARNED. Keep it funny, goddammit. I can get drama elsewhere.
Guest Gathering Moss Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Jessie tweaked out on caffeine pills. SBTB. I'M SO EXCITED! I'M SO EXCITED! I'm so...I'm so...scared. How about that episode of Full House when D.J. becomes anorexic so she can lose weight in time for the big pool party.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Growing Pains. Episode "Second Chance". Drunk Driving. Dead Chandler (okay, so Matthew Perry's character's name is Sandy). 'Nuff said.

Guest JangoFett4Hire Report post Posted February 14, 2003 WKRP In Cincinnatti- the episode where the 7 kids got trampled at The Who show at Riverfront... Webster- when he burnt down the apartment with his chemistry set... What sitcoms had the most "V.S.E's"? My guess would be either All in the Family (which were usually very good) or Diff'rent Strokes (Which were usually preachy and sappy) What about sitcoms that had NONE? Afforementioned Seinfeld. Cheers? I don't remember any VSE's of Cheers. Any others?
Guest MD2020 Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Blossom seemed to have a bunch too. Like every other edpisode.
Guest JangoFett4Hire Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Too bad Blossom never had a VSE where Six becomes a porn star and changed her last name to Tynine
Guest converge241 Report post Posted February 14, 2003 total aside VH1 did a where are they now with Blossom and Six Jenna Von Oy is a country singer now..or trying to be at least Mayim or whatever Blossom's real name is some kind of scientist and leads a jewish chorus group Six held up better looks wise than Blossom
Guest JangoFett4Hire Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Six held up better looks wise than Blossom dude, the pope has held up better looks wise. miyam bilak or whatever her name was, was never anything to look at. she kinda looked like a hasadic olive oyl
Guest starvenger Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Six held up better looks wise than Blossom dude, the pope has held up better looks wise. miyam bilak or whatever her name was, was never anything to look at. she kinda looked like a hasadic olive oyl Kinda makes you wonder what the hell her boyfriend (Vinnie ?) was thinking when Six was RIGHT THERE and seemingly ready to jump just about any guy... SBTB had a few "very special" eps, although the only one I can remember (besides the caffeine pills of course) was the "don't do drugs" ep. I'm pretty sure that every Peter Engel show had at least one VSE each year. Hell, even the hella-bad One World had a couple of those...

Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted February 14, 2003 how about EVERY EPISODE OF FULL HOUSE. the Kenny Dies episode of South Park.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: Will's father walks out on him again. Family Matters: It was some episode dealing with racism that was in school, can't remember much about it though.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Family Matters: The guns in school one where Laura's friend gets shot And the Kenny Dies episode of South Park was hilarious for the simple reason that everyone in the show is mourning his death while everyone watching at home is completly desensitized to it from seeing him die in every other episode in the most brutal ways imaginable.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Damn... that the episode I was thinking of, Fook. I just couldn't remember whether it was racism or something else. Goddamn, my mind is getting bad in this old age...
The Dames 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2003 What about the VSE of A Different World, dealing with racism when Ron and Dwayne ended up in a brawl with white guys after they vandalised their car with racial slurs. That's one I'll never forget. Dames
Guest MD2020 Report post Posted February 14, 2003 I think A Different World also had a VSE dealing with date rape. I seem to recall that when it comes to listening to a girl's body or her mouth, always listen to her mouth. While this is good advice, which everyone should already know, I don't know if it should have been Sinbad as the one telling us.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted February 14, 2003 On The Jeffersons, Louise, aka Weezie, witnessed a murder and I think the murderer comes looking for her and she somehow fights him off.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted February 14, 2003 how about EVERY EPISODE OF FULL HOUSE. the Kenny Dies episode of South Park. Hey, that would make my favourite VSE of Full House the one where Jesse loses the mullet...
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 14, 2003 argh...I loathe VSE's. I don't want to see that stuff on sitcoms. I think the only sitcom where VSE's were ok was All In The Family. But All In The Family wasn't a typical sitcom.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Exactly...and All in Family never really had "VSE" show...it was just always important issues.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted February 14, 2003 On The Jeffersons, Louise, aka Weezie, witnessed a murder and I think the murderer comes looking for her and she somehow fights him off. She must have threatened to sing to him...

Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted February 14, 2003 I think it was mandatory for every sitcom in the '80s to dedicate at least one episode to the plight of the homeless. Damn you for ruining Mamma's Family!...
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 14, 2003 Full House had the child abuse one- that episode kicked ass. Family Matters had one where Laura tried to start a class on black history (I think) and someone spraypainted the 'n' word on her locker. Mama Winslow then told a story about checking out books from the library and they ended up learning black history. I think.
