Guest EricMM Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I mean seriously, if Taker is the face here, why was he brutalizing someone with a chair in such a heelish fashion? If taker was the heel, why was he "taking out his frustration," and not being a sonofabitch? Taker isn't even a tweener at this point, because that was not your standard face hitting the stupid heel minion, that was a beatdown. Is taker trying to look stronger here? What exactly was the point of obliterating a returning star????
Yuna_Firerose Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Peeps said the same thing about Kendrick. Sooo, perhaps they're going to do something with Kanyon and O'Haire.... *shrug*
Guest converge241 Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 maybe they figured too many people forgot about the annihilation of him against Taker and Kane during Invasion and needed to re-hash it
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 How else are they gonna get that Young Rookie The Undertaker over?
Guest Mole Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 They better have a good reason for it, because Kanyon is a GREAT wrestler. He should be moved to Raw, so Raw actually has those guys that can wrestle.
Guest Bling-Bling Buchanan Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I dunno, Taker's been no selling for so long that it's not really as big a deal if he squashes someone as say, A-Train or even Kane.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 That beatdown pissed me off royally since I am a huge Kanyon fan. I wish Vince would go up to Taker and say: You're retired. Thanks. The guy jobbed clean to Brock Lesnar and the world didn't end at all
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I guess Undertaker personaly dislikes Kanyon. Damn him for not shaking our hands the very second he arrived in WWF. He shall pay for not saying hello to Gimpy...I mean Droz. Undertaker...The common courtesy enforcer. Being uncomfortable to approach the big names on first day of work be damned.
Guest Danny Dubya v 2.0 Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 WWE's intentions were most likely "showing the Big Show what's going to happen to him at no way out." ...But Kanyon is quite not worth of that kind of use.
Guest buffybeast Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Taker is an unstoppable monster. Didn't you realize that?
Guest j.o.b. squad Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 who betta than kanyon (at getting his brain smashed in) coude of been worse they could of squashed someone who is actually talented
Guest jessecartieri Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 He failed to learn the main event spinebuster whilst in OVW, so he'll never draw money, LOL
Guest Kid Kablam Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 who betta than kanyon (at getting his brain smashed in) coude of been worse they could of squashed someone who is actually talented Ummmm.... Kanyon IS talented.
Guest Rob Edwards Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 There was no point Simple Question, Simple Answer
Guest Celtic Jobber Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Undertaker is almost worse than Triple H. God I hate that sonofabitch! Nobody's better than Kanyon!
Guest EternallyLazy Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Kanyon has always and probably will always be treated as a comedy jobber by WWE... it sucks, but get used to it
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 And that's a damn shame too! I was at Smackdown last Thursday livek, and after the show, Chris Kanyon was the ONLY wrestler to come out of the parking lot, actually pull over and do a meet and greet with fans. To talk to any other wrestler, we would've had to stalk them at the Holiday Inn next door (which me and my friend almost did, but decided it wasn't worth the time). My friend even got a cool little picture with Kanyon himself!
Guest Vyce Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 What was the purpose of it? Undertaker ego stroke. That's all. This is just Undertaker whipping out his schlong and pissing on the young, talented workers, to let them know who's really the "big dog". Lockerroom leader my ASS.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Of course, the fix to all that would be a pissed off Kanyon costing Undertaker his match against Big Show, leading up to a WM match in which Taker finally loses to WHO BETTER THAN KANYON~! But it's all just a wet dream
Guest Dangerous A Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 I am a Kanyon mark as well and what I saw last night made me want to throw up. This is more Vince McMahon bullshit of "if I didn't discover him, he ain't getting pushed" mentality. Then to top it off they squash him with everyone's second hated locker room leader, Undertaker. What a nice way to welcome back a guy who just busted his ass to get back from a devastating knee injury and thrown in OVW to rot until they remembered him. Well, fuck you Vince!
Guest Trivia247 Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 They just did it to piss you Taker haters offf HA! Actually I have no clue why they fed Kanyon to Taker at all, he has to many tools in the game to be used as a Pinball. Taker i suppose is gonna be fed various people for the next week till He gets Big Show...Maybe he can Powerbomb him from the corner in 5 minutes again.

If only he learned how to apply the sleeper and to throw more punches and kicks whilst in OVW, then he might draw, LOL Kanyon would be better off in TNA, where talent actually thrives. Plus Russo loves him and would give him a push like he did in WCW

I pretty much agree with everything you said here. The guy was gone for a year, and he gets the jobber treatment on his first day back? While singing a Culture Club song, no less? This was totally pointless and it pissed me the hell off. If anything, he's the one who should have performed the massive beatdown, so he instantly gets a heel rub.
Guest Nater Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Welcome to Heat, Kanyon. Next time you come back to RAW (in 8 weeks) we are going to fire you ala D'Lo and Raven!
Guest tank_abbott Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Fraid to say it.... but Da Crusher and Bruiser were roughing up younger talent until they hit 55-57 years old. So Taker being 43 (?) He can have another 12-14 years of squashing talent
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 I don't know his age exactly, but he's the same age as Scotty Steiner if I remember correctly. Whoever said there was no point hit the nail on the head.
Guest Basswitch Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Why does WWE do anything? It's one of those mysteries we will never know the awnser to. But if i were to make a guess it would be that Squashing good wrestlers to push shitty, old ones, is some sort of trademark or past time.
Guest redneckBEBE Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 If Taker had demolished Benoit on his return, I'd be pissed. But it's just overrated Kanyon. So whatever.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 So it's alright that Taker demolishes a guy who had been out since October of 2001, almost died in the process, has charisma and is a good worker?? I can understand Taker demolishing Brother Love or another non wrestler but what did Taker did to Kanyon was disgusting.
Guest redneckBEBE Posted February 16, 2003 Report Posted February 16, 2003 Well, why WOULDN'T Taker demolish Kanyon according to kayfabe logic? He's 6'10", 300 pounds, the baddest of the bad...why wouldn't he punk goofball Kanyon? I'm sure Kanyon had no problem with it, and neither do I. Wrestling is a work. The fact that Kanyon has pretty good charisma and is a decent worker doesn't mean that he should be immune from getting beat up by a much larger wrestler with a bad-ass rep. Kayfabe, kayfabe, kayfabe.
