Guest Human Fly Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I'm going to be optimistic. Matt Hardy will win the CW title from Kidman. And then Tenacious Z will come in and feud with Matt Hardy. Z will have no problem getting over. What name will they give him, or will they let him use Tenacious Z?
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 If they give him his real name, he'll be the Type A guy mentioned above. If they give him some silly stage name, freakshow here we come.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 The first time we see him legless will be after DeMott attacks him. Cole: "omg he ripped that kid's leg off...what a damn bully" Taz: "Ha...i guess he's a one legged man in a ass kicking contest"
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 O Haire: " You didn't need that prosthetic leg. And I'm not telling you anything you didn't already know."
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 So how long into his debut will he get beaten with his own leg?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 He could also get a War Vetern gimmick. Or he could be a random spot guy in the crowd who gets to team up with (insert face here) against (insert heel tag team here) and gets a surprise win. And then Maven could turn heel because *he* was supposed to be the plucky young go-getter in the company and now that spot has been taken.
Guest converge241 Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 "If they give him some silly stage name, freakshow here we come. " if you see these thrown around run! crazylegs leggy mclegg (thx to simpsons) anyhting about a valet named peg
Guest Goodear Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Anything has to be better than Tenacious Z which sounds a lot like the horse that Homer and Bart trained to win races and fight the horrors of the jockeys.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 So how long into his debut will he get beaten with his own leg? First night DeMott: "What the hell...it's a FAKE leg...you little freak: Then DeMott proceeds to beat him with the leg he just ripped off him.
Guest Mik at Cornell Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Anything has to be better than Tenacious Z which sounds a lot like the horse that Homer and Bart trained to win races and fight the horrors of the jockeys. Let him keep Tenacious Z as his name and bring in JB and KG as his managers. I think of the D every time I read his name.
Guest converge241 Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 if they did the demott deal they could two things they love push demott AND steal from theselves (sorta Shawn-Diesel with Mad Dog Vachon) Jack Black on WWE TV would replace Ben Stiller as my favorite surreal cameo
Guest Ram Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 He should wear long tights and keep the prosthetic on and trick his opponents into working on his fake leg.
Guest Mikazuki Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I've never seen him wrestle. How mobile is he?
The Dames Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Check out Jago's thread for a clip of his Asai Moonsault. The kid is a high flyer believe it or not. Dames
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I've never seen him wrestle. How mobile is he? He's just slightly slower than most "cruisers" in terms of getting around the ring. But his moves seem to be normal speed of anyone else. After you get past the initial "holy shit he's only got one leg" shock you tend to forget that he only has one leg.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I, for one, think this is great news, and if pulled off properly, might actually get me to watch WWE TV again. But first I gotta see that clip of the asai moonsault...
Guest Mikazuki Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 http://ironhead06.home.mindspring.com/Z02.wmv There's the video. He moves as well as a 3 legged dog, which is pretty good.

Aha, then he already works the CW version of WWE Main Event Style, what's the problem? LOL

Aha, then he already works the CW version of WWE Main Event Style, what's the problem? Just slightly. I did't mean it in a bad way it's just that he'd have to be at least slightly slower with only one leg. Of course being a cruiserweight in WWE doesn't require "speed".
Guest crandamaniac Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Just wondering. What if he got into a feud with Triple H's faction. Normal Heel beatdown, and then Ric Flair goes for the Figure 4 leg lock.

Normal Heel beatdown, and then Ric Flair goes for the Figure 4 leg lock. We'd get a loud Joey Stylesesque OH MY GOD scream from JR and Lawler in unison as the leg pops off.
Guest jessecartieri Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 YOU SOLD OUT! YOU SOLD OUT! Hope you can learn the one legged kick, Z, that will be half your offense after HHH decides you can't work. He'd be better off in TNA, and don't say Russo would fuck him up too. Has Vinny Ru REALLY done anything really really bad like he did in WCW (which wasn't THAT bad, most of the people he pushed are getting fucked in WWE today)
Guest Vern Gagne Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Gowen signed with the WWE. Vince McMahon didn't put a gun to his head and force him to sign a contract. What happens to him once he gets their remains to be seen, but this was is choice and not anyone else's.
Guest the pinjockey Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Yes, he sold out. With the rich history and all the years that they put into developing with the NWA just to abandon them and leave them out to dry is absurd. Seriously, how many people don't grow up dreaming about wrestling for the WWF. He is getting that chance, getting a chance to make some decent money probably, and may be able to become a bigger star than NWA would ever be able to make him. By the way, I pray for the day I can sell out for anything.
Guest Rob Edwards Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 If they book him as a sympathy angle initially it could work "the underdog upsetting the odds" that would of course be kinda offensive to a lot of people but hey screw em! Then they could do the pirate gimmick as mentioned above, Jeff could be his cabin boy seeing as I'm sure he has scurvy anyway
Guest razazteca Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Zachary Gowen, could be the Flying Dutch Man! Now that is a pirate gimmick that get over quickly.
Guest Rob Edwards Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 We can give him Koko's old Parrott! Man I SO want to see this now!
Guest Rob Edwards Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Heh credit Sumlittlepunk form Smarkschoice for this as it's a valid (and amusing point) Z's already got the Rumble in the bag under the "both feet must touch the ground" rule
