Yuna_Firerose Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Trish Stratus is rumored to be interested in a role in an upcoming movie based on the Fantastic Four comic series. The movie is being produced by Chris Columbus and will be directed by Peyton Reed. Credit: cinecon.com and darkhorizons.com
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Well here's to hoping she doesn't win a part.
Guest j.o.b. squad Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 another damn comic book movie. Can't wait to miss that one.
Mecha Mummy Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Well, THAT would utterly kill the WWE Women's Division for a couple months, if she got the role as the Invisible Girl. If she has a minor role, however, maybe she could juggle them both.
Guest notJames Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I could see her playing Alicia Masters, the Human Torch's blind girlfriend/ex-girlfriend/whatever. She kinda has that lost look every once in a while.
Guest converge241 Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 she might look good in a malice outfit

If she has a minor role, however, maybe she could juggle them both. No it wouldn't--the WWE could just call up Jackie Gayda and the division wouldn't miss a beat. *Shudders*
Guest buffybeast Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I highly doubt Trish Stratus, not even a C level celebrity in Hollywood, would earn such a role in a major motion picture.
Guest Choken One Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I don't know a damn thing bout Comics...but I doubt it's gonna be a Major role...and besides Who cares about the Fantastic 4?
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Well actually Fantastic Four is a fairly popular older title. It's around X-Men levels in term of popularity. Well I'm not a major comic book guy(just know the big names) so don't hold me to that, but i believe they are on a high popularity level.
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Fantastic 4 are like the Stones to the X-Men's Beatles. In terms of popularity, anyway.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Fantastic 4 are like the Stones to the X-Men's Beatles. In terms of popularity, anyway. Hmm...I'm trying to figure out your analogy. I'm guessing it was meant in a good way. As to say popular, but not insanely popular.
Guest buffybeast Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 I don't know a damn thing bout Comics...but I doubt it's gonna be a Major role. The Invisible Woman is a major player in the Fantastic Four. She's a member and the Rubber Man's wife. It's a major role.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted February 14, 2003 Report Posted February 14, 2003 Rubber Man? Me thinks you mean Mr. Fantastic, AKA Reed Richards.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Why can't they just re-release Corman's Fantastic Four? They can digitally "sample" Trish in if they really want to... then she can be the biggest name!
Guest Dangerous A Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Here's hoping she can make it in the movies. Hopefully Hollywood can make more use of her than WWE can.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 No don't wish her luck in the movies. There's already enough bimbos who can't act in Hollywood so no thanks. Also unlike Rock she doesn't have enough to charisma to cover up her shit acting.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 umm go get a bootleg, since no legal copies exist, of the first fantastic 4 movie. no amount of cgi can make it better then that piece of shit movie was, it was very badddddddd. Im talking 4th grade production values, bad scripts, i mean come on the 4 suck anyways, but you had to play off doom and it still sucked. How did they fuck up playing off doom. Dr. Doom is the most evil guy in the MU, yet they made it suck. Sorry kids, dont let the F4 ever hit the big screen, nothing good could ever come out of it. And as a second note, all the F4 cartoons got cancled because they couldnt draw ratings. A movie version will fare(or is it fair) no better.
Guest Vyce Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Yeah, you can act, honey. She wants to be in the movie. Well hell, *I* want to be in the movie too. Our chances of actually making it in the flick are about equal.
Guest redbaron51 Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 I know what movie she can be in...
Guest deadbeater Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Trish is one of the more famous fitness models in the world. Even if she wasn't wrestling, she would be in a movie by now. And she can act some, and likes to be thrown all over the place. What more do you want in an action star? In this movie, I want my Dr. Doom to be kick ass, not someone who runs aways on a nosebleed.

Yes, the Corman F4 movie was truly awful, but it's in "so bad it's good" territory, and worth checking out, especially with a group of friends. Reed comes off as a total pedophile in one scene where he first meets the young Sue Storm. The producers had no intention of releasing the movie--it was only made so they could hold onto the film rights to the F4 property, and it was shelved so a "real", big-budget movie could one day be made. Supposedly, nobody in the cast & crew knew of these wicked machinations, so they were all sad & disappointed that their work wasn't ever going to be shown (IMO, they should be grateful). At any rate, I'm sure WWE could survive a few months without Trish if she got the part. There's generally only 1 women's feud on Raw at any given moment, and between Jazz, Molly, Victoria & possibly Gail Kim, they have enough talent there to sustain the women's division. I hope she gets it. Hell, being a top "diva" in the WWE seems to be your ticket to D-list celebritydom (see Sable, Chyna, Sunny), so if she wants to escape that fate, more power to her. I wouldn't mind Trish being an action star. Better her than Joanie Laurer. Plus, as someone else said, I'd like to see her in that Malice outfit. Yeah, I know her acting sucks, but with some coaching & good direction, she could be watchable. I'm not a huge fan of the F4 (I enjoyed Byrne's mid-80s run, but that's about it), but Peyton Reed directed Bring It On, which is something of a cult favorite on this board, so it could be an enjoyable movie.
Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 I don't know a damn thing bout Comics...but I doubt it's gonna be a Major role...and besides Who cares about the Fantastic 4? People care more about the Fantastic Four than WWE.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 Fantastic Four are VERY IMPORTANT. They were the first *true* Marvel superheros. Without the sucess of the Fantastic Four both Kirby and Lee's careers would have fizzled out and we would never have gotten the first generation Marvel heros.
Guest art_vandelay Posted February 15, 2003 Report Posted February 15, 2003 I don't know, I think with a large enough budget, an F4 movie can make some money. Imagine seeing a CG Human Torch or Thing~!
