Top 10 Most Overrated WWE Workers

Recommended Posts

Guest redneckBEBE

I knew this thread would bring the Tex Mex Lex marks out of the closet.

Can you feel it? That's the terrible smarkish/elitist vibes escaping your body.

Let it go. Positive energy.

Hurricane and Knoble shouldn't be on that list.

Kanyon and Christian are questionable - I can see the argument, but I don't really agree.

The rest is about right.

I also like the Hurricane. Of course I can't exactly defend him workrate wise, if only because I cannot remember the last time he had a match that was over, say, 4 minutes long. I find him entertaining though, so that's I can ask. I don't care if someone is good or bad in the ring as long as they entertain me, then I won't complain.

I was hooked to wrestling on work-rate when I saw a Ric Flair/Ricky Steamboat match and forever have marked out for technical wrestling and workrate.

I just find it hard to be entertained by a bad wrestler.

I find Undertaker entertaining, and he's good in the ring. It's just that most people on this board don't know a good big man worker when they see one. They only know one style.

You've obviously never heard of Vader then

Over the last year Taker has been in some of the worst matches of the year.

He was in two good matches- One of them because Angle and Rock did most of the work and the other was because of Brock.

No. See your problem is that you are so against the general smark opinion that you see crap, think that a smark hates it and fall in love with it. The Undertaker is a bad worker. Get it through your thick skull. Smarks like plenty of styles from all over the world. But the Undertaker has a crappy style that shouldn't even be in wrestling. No match should consist of a big slow man lumbering around the ring and not selling ANYTHING. Then making a super human comeback and putting his dangerous opponent away with no questions asked. Undertaker is a bad wrestler, live with it.

Misconception.

Since when was no selling a credible style?

If Booker is on there because he does a flying forearm and gets carried by Jericho shouldn't we put the entire Raw roster up there?

Let's see what styles do I watch? WWE style, WCW Cruiser style, Southern Style from the NWA in the 80's, NJPW Junior style, and AJPW heavy style. Yep that's one style alright.

Yeah there's nothing wrong with big men doing power wrestling. But UT doesn't even do that. He just kinda sits around with no expression on his face while his opponent pounds him then makes a super human comeback out of nowhere. Thus making his opponent look like a total wuss.

Yup theres nothing wrong with power wrestling, hence all the Brock love, there is as everyone is trying to point out a problem with sloooooow paced power wrestling

It's also kinda weird that you have HHH on the list yet are supporting Undertaker when they wrestle in a similar style these days

So all wrestlers have no control over their ring styles they just do what they're told to do?

I know that they're told not to do some things, but other than that I think their styles are in their hands as long as they can fit it in a 3-10 minute match and not used banned moves.

Maybe that's what he's told to do? Not defending him or anything, just saying...

Told to make all the potential draws look stupid?

No, but it seems Vinny Mac only goes by crowd reactions, ie marks, and not the net, ie smarks. And when he sees crowds popping for 'Taker's no-sell-squash matches.... *shrug*

You mean like all those face reactions for Matt? or when that Booker fellow wasn't over last year so they left super over HHH in his place?

LOL Vince doesn't go by any fans reactions. Jeez...

The cruiserweights are the most limited, the women are the most (liberated?). But that's Vince for ya - can't entertain the fans, oh no, can't do that.

I think Vince more wants to entertain the media so they'll give him some free publicity but thankfully they won't touch him after the gay wedding that never was debacle
