Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 18, 2002 "Dammit.....I really hate the WWF right now.....I booked better storylines when I was 10 playing with my WWF Toys...." Exactly! Except I was using GI Joe figures (more flexibility) "I don't think Jericho winning at WM would be the puzzle piece. Even if he won he'd still be Steph's lackey and he'd probably still fight in the midcard. " He might but he doesn't need to. Notice how Jericho's heat dissipated when Steph got involved. Noone wants to see her and I'm through with her. well, at least the Edge-jericho matches should be exciting for the KingoftheMidcard Title
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Hey, we might be able to finally see the finish of the RVD/Jericho feud that started in Jan. This time the title will be the IC, not the WWF Title.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Actually I hope that feud doesn't happen. I want to see RVD go on the super-reign and I don't want Jericho to lose. Can't have both if they are feuding.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 18, 2002 RVD will probably job the IC Title to Maven.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Just going back to HHH - I don't know if anyone has already said this, but with Hogan turning and getting a great reaction, HHH would seem to be number *five* face in terms of popularity, behind Rock, Austin, RVD and Hogan. And he's champion. How sad is that?
Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Well WrestleMania was way better than I expected except for the WWF title match. As it was predicted Triple HGH won cleanly the titles. Now we got to go through months of boredom with that big nosed steroid freak getting push down our throats. I guess that's what it takes to be the top man in the WWF, be un-over and fuck the head booker.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Now all we need is for Kevin Nash to be in main events and for Scott Hall to be at the top of the midcard despite being completely f*cked up and unover and it will be 1995 all over again...
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Thats a good point about him potentially being fifth on the depth chart. Maybe he'll make sure Steph writes the other faces into the opposite company after the split. How quick did his pops go down after that return? thats just sad. I guess fans dont wont to cheer for British Bulldogs 2002 (lucy)
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Does anybody else see RVD or Jericho becoming a Tom Zenk after being blatantly screwed by the Powers That Be? (For those that don't know, Tom Zenk pisses and moans constantly about all the wrestling business, but specifically about being screwed by Dusty so that Dustin would be more over than him)
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted March 18, 2002 Does anybody else see RVD or Jericho becoming a Tom Zenk after being blatantly screwed by the Powers That Be? No. RVD is too popular and I think the WWF is starting to realize it. He should be given a nice long IC title reign, much like his TV title days from ECW. As for Jericho, who knows? I don't mind seeing HHH with the title, and I would rather see it on him then on Jericho anyday.
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted March 18, 2002 I think it's funny how a lot of you are proclaiming HHH as the next Diesel as far as drawing, yet he's had the undisputed less than 24 hours? WTF? I'll tell you what. If the booking and writing take the path that they have the last year it won't matter who the fuck is champ. Have you guys seen that with the exception of Austin, none, and I mean none of the other champs this year have been draws. I don't think HHH is in line to draw much either, but it seems the smarks will only be happy if one of their favs (Jericho, RVD, Angle, Austin) is champ and then I'll get to hear your jaded slants as to why you think this person is drawing when clearly they are not. I'll repeat, and capitalize in case you're a nimrod= NO ONE CAN DRAW IN THE CURRENT ENVIRONMENT!!!! Since the purchase of WCW, wrestling lost a group of fans who don't want sports entertainment. Most of the fans who stayed loyal to the wwf are still here, but they have lost quite a few of them when storylines went out of whack and wrestling stopped being trendy and hip. Face it, in the boom period (mid 96 to 2000) you could find a lot of wrestling media and merchandise just about everywhere. Now some of that has been scaled back. Bottom line is this: no matter who is champ in the next 6 months to a year, they will NOT draw any new fans.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 19, 2002 Comparisons to Diesel are unfounded on the workrate level, as HHH has been able to get above a ** against multiple opponents that aren't Workrate Gods like HBK and Bret. On another level, they are VERY appropriate because HHH isn't even close to being the top face. He's probably at #5 after last night, as the order appears to be Austin, Hogan, Rock, and RVD. Diesel wasn't the #1 face for much of the time he was champion. He was #3 at the LEAST behind HBK and Bret, despite the fact that Bret had been feuding with jabronies like Lawler, Hakushi, and Isaac Yankem DDS for most of 1995. (Diesel may have been the #1 or #2 face when he won the belt in late 94, but he slipped down to #3 by the end of Wrestlemania 11)
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 19, 2002 I meant that HHH was Diesel NOW. In terms of being over and his current workrate. Before the injury HHH was awesome. He was in my last 2 MOTY. But now...I watched Jericho bust ass yesterday and NOT be able to salvage anything with him.
Guest Vyce Report post Posted March 19, 2002 Exactly! Except I was using GI Joe figures (more flexibility) Road Pig - World Heavyweight Champion. Ah, the days of my youth....
