Astro101 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I'm saddened about Harris Bros coming in but Siaki DID have a purpose. The chase continues for AJ!
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I can't be the only one that dug Kash/London. At least **1/2, which is better than any Siaki match to date. I'm getting a 2001 WCW feel from TNA. I like that, as I was more entertained by WCW in 2001 (before they went out of business) than I was by the WWF at that time. EDIT: I was actually entertained by Siaki's promo tonight. "Yo, Spider-Man, you too" to Low-Ki while Low-Ki hangs from the bars. "And you guys...whatever" to the Harris Bros. Could've been better, but I dug the show. Can't really see why people didn't like it (aside from the fact that Vader, Dusty, and Ron & Don were on WAY too much...and that Raven/Ki vs. Sandman/Corino sucked...and a lack of The Truth)...okay, I guess I can see. I give it a 7/10, making it a nice average show.
Astro101 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 It wasn't a bad show by no means IMO. I thought it was a good show. Not WOW WOW WOW, but good, decent show. Is that London guy better than that? maybe it's the hype, but he just seems...ok, not like a Red or anything. Maybe its just him wrestling against Kash? Guest Lemon Drop Kid Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I'd say a very good, on the cusp of great, main event and a good X division title match basically salvaged the show, along with a decent Jonah/Sanders match and a surprisingly watchable Harris/AMW match. There was a lot of bad stuff though. The Rhodes/Russo segment was too long and pointless. Vader looks AWFUL. Disgraceland was a cringe-inducing bit. Sandman still sucks, and they shouldn't waste a Lo Ki match on the guy. And where are Skipper and Daniels?
Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted February 20, 2003 I'm not really sold on Jarrett has a credible champion quite yet. So far he's defended against Hennig, Truth, AJ Styles, and some stuff in WWA and Zero One. Jarrett has yet to defend against anyone who the fans may buy as being able to win the strap. (not entirely his fault, look at TNA's roster)
Astro101 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Skipper, Daniels, and Red have scheduling conflicts with TNA and their other promotions.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Ummm...in case you haven't noticed, he's defended successfully against both The Truth AND AJ Styles, who are two of the more over workers on the roster. That's about the equivalent of somebody beating The Rock in WWE, and then saying that he hasn't had a really credible challenge yet. I'm really surprised how good AMW are as a team. They've gotten good matches out of The Harris Bros. and Brian Lee. Can't wait to see AMW vs. XXX.

(not entirely his fault, look at TNA's roster) I disagree......Styles was built up damn good to look like a contender to that belt and I thought they were actually going to give him the belt going into the match. I don't think I was the only one, that crowd was prety behind him too, and this was even after an apparent alliance with Russo.
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted February 20, 2003 An alright show for the first one i've ordered, i was dissapointed with some of it but overall not too bad. Vader coming in was cool, and the main event was a pretty good match, but the rest wasn't too special. London/Kash left me underwhelmed after having seen some of London's other stuff, though it was alright, and Sanders/Jonah was decent. AMW/Harris Bros was decent considering the Harrises were in there. Lynn/SAT's was pretty poor, slow with blown spots everywhere. The less said about Shark Boy/Disgraceland the better, and Corino/Sandman vs Ki/Raven sucked, Low Ki could be doing so much more. And no Truth sucked as well. Now i have to wait a month to be able to order again, hopefully the show in 4 weeks time will be a good one.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Low-Ki looked really out of place in there with Corino, Sandman, and Raven trading weapon shots.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted February 20, 2003 My main gripes: 1. London is MUCH better than that. 2. Disgraceland? Shit like that is why people stopped watching WCW. Remember "That 70s Guy"? 3. Great main event. Too many ref bumps and run-ins. But if you absolutely HAD to have all those run-ins, then where the hell was the Raven run-in? You've been pushing that for five or six weeks and he's not there? Other than that, no major complaints. Dusty wearing the Cleveland Browns T-shirt ruled! Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 20, 2003 The only bright spot of that tag match w/ Raven and Co. was the russian leg sweep with the Cane from Sandman to Lo-Ki. F'n brutal lookin spot, just snapped his head back with that thing. The typical table-chair-garbage can match has totally worn its welcome with me to say the least. They murdered it in the WWE hardcore division, and it's sad to them them resort to the same type of match with these guys now in TNA. If they would be a little creative, they could come up with some entertaining HC action at least, you would think.
Astro101 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Do you guys think that AMW could be credible HW contenders if they were to go their separate ways?
Guest RedJed Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Do you guys think that AMW could be credible HW contenders if they were to go their separate ways? I don't see it happening myself. They're kind of like yin and yang, perfect compliments to each other in a tag setting. I just don't see them seperately establishing a character that would stand out enough to really get over. But I'm sure people said this about the Midnight Rockers almost 20 years ago too.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Does Paul London remind anybody of AJ Styles when he first started out in NWA:TNA? Or am I high? Also, I was impressed with Jonah given his offense isn't much yet.
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Good Show tonight. -Vader showing up was a nice suprise, don't know about next week's match though... -Styles/Jarret was very good, I liked all the false finishes, was totally into it. -X division match was ok. Kash is not a strong champion, I expect Red to take it from him when he gets back. -Disgraceland=BAD IDEA -Sonny Siaki was actually really funny, and enjoyable when he's not wrestling. "Harris Boys...whatever" TREMENDOUS. -Mike Sanders was funny too Mike Tenay: "Disco's ideas were an invisible wrestler and a group of martians" Mike Sanders: "I was gonna be the martian leader!" -Jonah looks like he has potential but is still green as grass. -Sue me I liked the tag team brawl, but Im an ECW mark so what do I know. I do miss Lo Ki being able to show his stuff instead of just brawling though. Good Show overall.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Report post Posted February 20, 2003 The Harris/Dusty/Vader run in should never of happened. What should of happened was Raven run in, DDT Styles, but when Jarrett pinned him, kicked out. Then the Siaki run in. The Siaki run in was fine by itself anyway. Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Line Of The Night: "Yo, Spider Man, you too" - Sonny Siaki to Low-Ki Did anyone else think that the women offered to Jonah was EDIT: She had Boobs, but her Face and Teeth...yuck.

I think that was a very soild show. You had: 1) An adequate tag match in the opener, with at least the right team going over. 2) A pretty good promo by Russo and Dusty, followed by a great surprise in the return of Vader. 3) The triple threat match with the SAT vs. Lynn was passable, and at least it featured the surprisingly good color work of Konnan, and furthered the Lynn - Lucha feud. 4) A vintage Raven promo. 5) A FUNNY angle with "Disgraceland"...it just went on too long. 6) Estrada getting his head shoved into the toilet. 7) A very good London vs. Kash X division match (OMG~wrestling!) 8) Jonah from TE3 who was over HUGE. 9) OMG b00bs~! 10) A Sanders win...complete with HEY! 11) A hilarious Siaki vignette backstage. 12) A cool little buildup for Sandman 13) A decent brawl in the Tag Match, with a couple of good spots. 14) A very good Main Event. 15) The new TNA chick is HOT. THE BAD Too much Harris Brothers. Vader looks...not so skinny. Estrada can even fuck up a run in. The main event was ridiculously overbooked. The Russo angle going to Jarrett's house = stupid. But as I said, the good FAR outweighed the bad IMO, and it was a solid effort.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted February 20, 2003 This was probably the best of the 4 TNA shows I've ordered. Only one really shitty match, and I kind of marked out for Vader and Jonah. The main event and the X-title match were both very good, as well. The triple threat match was decent, too, but I didn't like the ending of it, personally. Guest wrestlingfanatic Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Excellent show, worth $10 for sure. Was it me or did Vader look to fat to get in the ring at first?
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted February 20, 2003 Styles/Jarrett was overbooked, but still good. However, the rest of the show was really not good at all. I love Jonah and all (in a totally heterosexual way), but not even he could save this show for me. As such, no more orders for me until they have another confirmed-before-the-show Styles title shot.
