That was THE WORST ENDING I have ever seen on RAW.

They had the Rock Heel Turn PERFECTLY set up... but they fucking pussied out because of the fucking Scorpion King

Christ, why dont they just re-release Mr. Nanny in theatres, the Marks would go...

They didn't do a thing. Unless they're saving it for Smackdown.

God, I hope so.  I'll be in attendance.

What a shit ending.  Rock should have turned and joined the NWO or at least have either X-Pac Big Show or both come down and attack Hogan and Rock.  Would be better than NOTHING

I guess Rock is going to be Hogan's 'little buddy'

Alright..apparently Ihatesmarksandmarks chooses to disagree by claiming that the man in the company who has the most heel heat has no heel cred.

This was a mistake to cop out like that.  Whatever they are planning to do with Rock and Hogan, the time to do it was now.  Strike while the coals are hot.  Everybody is still super excited over the match from Sunday night.. whatever angle they do would've had the most impact TONIGHT

The problem is that Angle is seen as more of a comedic heel than a serious heel right now.  The whole "white man speaking jive" routine last week and at Wrestlemania didn't help.

Guest Ihatesmarksandmarks

if u think the crowd chanting "you suck" during angles theme gives him the most heel heat then so be it. christ he got a POP tonight.....

Well i guess they could be waiting so they can build it up and make the turn a even bigger deal. But i doubt they will ever get the balls to do it and will let this golden oppritunity slip away.

But since he did that AFTER feuding with HHH...how do you blame last week on failing to get HHH over a month ago?

And more importantly...why isn't it really sad to everyone that HHH can't get over by being pushed harder than anyone...

Posted

>>>yeah and angle just has TONS of heel cred.....christ he tried the freaking SPINAROONIE.<<<

Angle is over again, he is established and the people want to see him get his ass kicked. That's heel cred right there. If that's not enough the fans take him seriously enough to see him as posing a threat. The fans never took Jericho seriously until the end. Coupled with the WWF's standard bad booking, Jericho's many underwhelming perfomances outside of the ring, and his former persona as a goofball, the fans were not going to buy him as a good champion.

As for HHH feuding with Angle, sure they had their matches, but the basic program was with Jericho. It was set up before HHH even returned, though after Angle got his heat back, it was assumed HHH would go at it with him. Of course they threw him in with Jericho and he gradually lost his heat as Jericho slowly and surely became more over, though still not very over until Steph joined with him.

When did they throw him in with Jericho?

Every week it was HHH/Angle...and HHH/Steph.

Christ, the WWF is going to turn Rock into Hogan circa 1992-93.  Back then, sentiment turned against him but they STILL booked him as an uber-face.

oh christ the fans take angle seriously? i think the fans look at angle as that dorky white guy who makes cheap heel heat jokes at the fans.....how and the #### can he be looked at as a threat?

Um, not really. The NWO storyline is what's being pushed the most. The whole HHH/Jericho/Steph storyline just has more depth, if you dare call it that, but it's just really horrible. HHH is coming out looking the worst, Jericho is gaining more than he loses, and Steph is coming out looking good because she is the most over in the feud.

Jericho was a lot more over before Steph joined up with him.

The fans look at Angle as a threat becuase many people actually believe that Angle can win a match without cheating or screwy finishes.

OK...

On the show I'm watching the NWO has been buried by Austin every week, and Jericho is walking dogs and losing titles...

Meanwhile HHH is winning the undisputed title and getting cheap heat by beating up and making fun of Stephanie...

What have you seen?

Guest Ihatesmarksandmarks

Steph is not over.....she has "bossman" heat right now. The crowd groans when she comes out....not because shes a storng heel but because they really want her to get the fuck out.

give me a match that angle won that didnt involve cheating or screwy finishes.....and no kane does not count.

It was Jericho/HHH before HHH even returned but due to the WWF's convoluted booking it seemed like HHH/Austin, HHH/Steph, HHH/Angle, HHH/Undertaker even. But through it all, Jericho was always the basis. Right after HHH came back, he made it a point to be known that Jericho never beat him.

You are 100% correct sir.

So...then...

you are taking the standpoint that everything that HHH has done (breaking up with Steph, feuding with Angle, Winning the rumble, and winning the titles at Mania) to try and get over is all Jericho's fault?

Congratulations.

You've actually come up with something so ludecirous that it can not be proven wrong.

Way to go.

>>>Jericho was a lot more over before Steph joined up with him.<<<

Before Jericho joined with Steph, his heat was spotty. Sometime I'd be shokced at how much heat he got, but alot of time I'd be underwhelmed. But after aligning with Steph the crowd has grown to hate him by default. His heat may not seem as strong to YOU as it was, but with Steph it's much more consistent. Plus, him beating up on HHH two shows in a row did alot as well.

>>>Steph is not over.....she has "bossman" heat right now. The crowd groans when she comes out....not because shes a storng heel but because they really want her to get the fuck out.<<<

If Jericho had that heat he'd be super over right now. Of course, as far as your "Bossman Heat" theory goes, Bossman has no heat so there goes that theory right there.

>>>OK...

Despite the fact that Austin is burying the NWO every show, it is pushed as a stronger point. Jericho walking dogs is bad, but him losing the UC title is a good thing. It gives him a chance to build some credibility. As far as HHH winning the title, it means almost nothing, and you can't get cheap off of a heel with so called "Bossman Heat." So Steph has to be a real heel or isn't.

I am now going to beg you to start a new thread chronicalling your feelings on this subject.

That way more people can be involved in the discussion...as many people will not read through the long Raw thread to get to this point.

PLEASE.  PLEASE.  PLEASE.

What don't you understand BPS? HHH was over when he won the Rumble and in his first little confrontation with Angle. It was after the Jericho promo became cemnted that he began to lose his heat. That was partially Jericho's fault. And enlighten me on this new word, "ludecirous."

Guest Ihatesmarksandmarks

no bossman did have heat....call it bossman heat x-pac heat get the fuck off my tv heat...its still heat, and its not the kind of heat you want if your a heel. Are you trying to say jericho is leeching of stephs "bossman heat"????

As long as Steph doesn't win the title next week that's all I care about. But next week is going to be freaking awesome! The draft is going to be so cool. Brock Lesnar came in and housed everyone. He was impressive. The Matt Hardy - Lita - Regal segment was good at driving how unpredictable the draft is going to be. I'm excited for next week!

HHH had lost his heat by the Royal Rumble.  I only remember three times where HHH got a big pop.  His return, his first match, and turning on Steph at the wedding.
