Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted February 24, 2003 --The reason Rhyno wasn't put in the six-man tag match last night is because the current plan for him is to be a heel, as the bodyguard for Matt Hardy wrestlingobserver.com
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2003 .... Hmm. As much collective awesomeness as Rhyno + Hardy equals, I'd sooner see him get a singles push.l
Guest jester Report post Posted February 24, 2003 Hmm, it could work. Hell, if Goldust & Booker could gel... I'll give a chance.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted February 24, 2003 Most people probably feel the same way, myself and I'm sure AS included. Still, maybe this means Hardy won't be tossed around by everyone.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted February 24, 2003 Hmm, it could work. Hell, if Goldust & Booker could gel... I'll give a chance. So, you think if they work well together, they'll be jobbed out repeatedly, get a brief tag title run, then get split up?
Guest RepoMan Report post Posted February 24, 2003 I think Rhyno is above being a mid-carder's bodygaurd, I think to would be a better role for an upcoming OVW guy, but I'll give it a chance.
Guest The Hamburglar Report post Posted February 24, 2003 Excellent role. Contrary to the beliefs of some, Rhyno is not ready to be chucked into the main events immediately on his return. His work as a foil to E&C was great, both in the ring and in promos. The possibility of Rhyno as an MF'er really works, and should help elevate both Rhyno and Matt. Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted February 24, 2003 I think it could work, with Matt being an antagonizing bastard who instigates trouble, just to have Rhyno beat the shit out of someone. It's a storyline that can write itself, and they could always turn Rhyno face by having him get sick of Matt's shit one day.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2003 That would be really cool. Matt Hardy could tell Rhyno to destroy Shannon Moore everytime he does something wrong.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 24, 2003 This could be AWESOME. Matt is the type of character who could use a bodyguard and Rhyno is perfect for the role. I'm 100% behind this
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2003 Good call Zack. I can see Matt coming out with the CW belt on, Kidman comes out wanting his rematch. Matt says, "Sure, but you gotta beat my MF'er first!" Billy, thinking it's Shannon, quickly agrees. But, Rhyno comes out of the crowd, gores him through the ringpost and first several rows of the crowd, and pind him in 30 seconds. Good television right there. Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted February 24, 2003 The problem is in 2 months or less, Rhyno will turn on Hardy, demolish him, and be put in the upper card after that. I have no problem with Rhyno in the upper card, but we all know that is the path he will take.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted February 24, 2003 That would be really cool. Matt Hardy could tell Rhyno to destroy Shannon Moore everytime he does something wrong. That's the same thing I was thinking. That could be hilarious. Shannon Moore loses a hard fought match gets up and Rhyno promptly gores him. The way Shannon Moore sells it will look like he just got ran over by a freight train.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted February 24, 2003 This could be AWESOME. Matt is the type of character who could use a bodyguard and Rhyno is perfect for the role. This would be even better if Heyman was still writing. How many jobs does Rhyno do when he returns now?
Guest dpac Report post Posted February 24, 2003 This seems to have shades of the Michaels and Diesel relationship, hopefully this will turn out the same way, except that Rhyno will continue to get better.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 24, 2003 What are you talking about? If Heyman was writing Rhyno would get a mega push that he wouldn't be ready for. This way they can try to get Rhyno over first before pushing him to the moon
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2003 Folks, where was Rhyno when he went out? I may be hazy but hadn't he just get finished in the Hardcore belt chase with (among others) Raven, Test, and Big Show? Then the Invasion where he played Heyman and Steph's attack dog until the injury. He had some high profile matches (Y2J/Rock vs. Booker and Rhyno, for example) but he didn't seem to be an upper card, main eventer wrestler. On the cusp, but not quite there. Now, the main event scene is a bit clogged with guys that have come in since his injury (Brock, Hogan, maybe Rock in the short term). This will be a nice little upper midcard placeholder for him until someone leaves. Then he can go either face or heel and get the push to the upper card. Until then, enjoy watching Rhyno destroy cruisers and probably Shannon. I would like to see Rhyno/Brock though. Don't let either one talk, just go out there and beat the shit out of each other. Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted February 24, 2003 Just give Rhyno the mic, let him cut the type of promos he did in ECW and the rest will fall into place. Jasmine St.Clair sucking Rhynos fucking cock = guaranteed ratings.
Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2003 The great thing about this is that with Edge gone they can easily set up a Matt/Rhyno vs. Rey/ Benoit feud as they head towards Wrestlemania.

He was on the verge of breaking through to upper midcard given his high profile matches with The Rock and Chris Jericho, respectively. It looked like they were pulling the trigger on a push, before he got hurt.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2003 This fuckin rocks! Mattitude and Rhyno! That's gonna be an entertaining combination (... if the new SD writing team doesn't mess it up. *grumble*grumble*)
Guest raptor Report post Posted February 24, 2003 I think that if he was brought back in a big way, he could have been Main. He's a recognizable, over guy who just got over a huge injury. Did you hear the pops the few times he's been onscreen since the injury? They were pretty massive for a career heel. I like both guys, so I'll probably enjoy their pairing, but I would rather have Rhyno back getting a big singles push.
Guest notJames Report post Posted February 24, 2003 The great thing about this is that with Edge gone they can easily set up a Matt/Rhyno vs. Rey/ Benoit feud as they head towards Wrestlemania. I'd rather see a straight-up cruiserweight title match at WM between Mattitude and Rey Rey. Isn't it SOP* to have all the belts up for grabs at the "showcase of the immortals"? * Standard Operating Procedure
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted February 24, 2003 If it wasn't for the Johnny Ace effect then we would've had Rhyno paired with an upper card heel.

Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted February 24, 2003 This will be pretty cool. They've always portrayed Rhyno as some caveman intelligence like attack dog.
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted February 24, 2003 They should do a "Masterpiece Theatre" thing with Rhyno and Matt Hardy to establish Rhyno as "The thinking mans killer" or something. Matt: Next up me and Rhyno are going to discuss Shakespheares "Macbeth" and the impact it his on the literary world. Rhyno? Rhyno: Thank you Matt. First off I'd just like to say that the character of Macbeth is one of the most well written in history. And Lady Macbeth.....I....oh no....it's happening. I'D GORE HER FUCKING ROTTEN GASH OFF AND SHIT DOWN HER FUCKING NECK THEN TAKE HER SEVERED HEAD AND MAKE IT SUCK MY FUCKING COCK! AHHHHHHHHHHHH! *Rhyno then gores the cameraman* Ratings, people. Ratings.
