Guest What? Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 The Getaway... fuck London traffic man...fuck them...
Guest Plushy Al Logan Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Double Dragon: That Hoss Abobo always beat my ass on the third level Any Castlevania game: I'll fuck up somewhere. Most of the time aginst the Reaper. Friday the 13th: Sign that Hoss Jason to Raw. His mother was fucking annoying. Ghosts & Goblins: Too much to tell 7th Saga: Starts easy, then becomes a bitch in the middle Paladin's Quest: See 7th Saga
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 HEROES OF THE LANCE was unbeatable.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Name me one person who's beaten Shadow of the Beast and i'll gladly become their slave for all eternity. Know why? BECAUSE ITS FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE! *breaks Amiga* UYI
David Blazenwing Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 "Whizzer" for the SNES. This game was made by Satan himself. You're a rabbit and you have, like 30 seconds to make it to the end of the level. You get touched, you die. The controls are crap. Any time bonuses to help give you one extra second, even though it takes three seconds to get it! Aaarrrgh! I rented this piece of crap once and it made my eyes bleed. Never, ever touch this game. If you ever see it for sale, exit the store immediately and run far, far away... or it will surely steal your soul.
Guest jimmy no nose Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 I know I've played some really hard games that I can't think of, but the one I'm trying to play right now is Stuntman for PS2. This game is so frustrating.
Guest Samurai_Goat Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 Hero's of the Lance? I heard of that. It made Nintendo Power's top 10 worst games of all time. Supposedly, if you mapped it out, you could beat the game in 5 minutes.... If you ask me, the flyswatter game in Mario Paint was a huge pain.
moral suasion Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for NES I found extremely difficult. Also SMB 2 and 3 with no warps
Guest SP-1 Posted March 6, 2003 Report Posted March 6, 2003 The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for NES I found extremely difficult. I still haven't ever gotten past the Turtle Van stage.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Clock Tower Agreed. I never even picked up the sequal.
Guest J*ingus Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Contra: Shattered Soldiers for the PS2. And you know why? I laugh at all ye great fools who cry about how difficult the original NES Contra was, cuz I've beaten that sucker without losing a single life on one occasion. But C:SS was SO goddamned unfairly hard that I gave up after the second level.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Heroes of the Lance isn't unbeatable. Just really badly designed. *misses old PC games sometimes..* As I remember..Battletech: The Crescent Hawks' revenge was kinda difficult, but it's been years.
Guest KoR Fungus Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 I agree with the original NES TMNT game. I couldn't even figure out what to do in the turtle van stage. I played that game for hours and never got anywhere.
Guest The Metal Maniac Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Isolated Warrior, for the NES. I swear, it was the first game I ever got for the NES, and to this day, I've never been able to get past like, the first level.
Guest myburninghammer Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 This may be slightly off topic, but I could have sworn my brother and I got to the end of Ikari Warriors several times only to find that the game didn't really have an end...am I hallucinating? 'cause a game without an ending is literally impossible to beat.
Guest Downhome Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Eh, I was obsessed with TMNT for NES, and I beat it years ago.
Guest Special K Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 There are some games that SORT of fall into this categorie. If you don't keep quarters in, Metal Slug 3 (though any other slug is tough) and Blazing Star will eat you up and spit you out 10 tines faster than Contra:SS, which I realize is nigh impossible.
Guest wildpegasus Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Hardest game ever? Ninja Gaiden-The game I learned to play NES on. Insanely hard last level. This is the game I like to play whenever I want to check if I still have my game skills.Though I've never played it, I hear that Gaiden for the PC Engine is even tougher! BLASTER MASTER Extreamly hard game Castlevania III Tough as anything Mike Tyson's punchout- One of the funnest games ever but has hard bosses at the end Battletoads-A worthy candidate. The level where you're being chased by the wheel is one of the only games to ever make my thumb hurt. Contra III If I remeber right this is considerably harder than the first Contra. Also one of the best games ever. Super Smash Tv for the SNES Without any extra lives and getting all bonuses on the faster mode is tough by yourself. Super Ghouls'n'Ghosts for the SNES Dante Must Die Mode Some of the toughest bosses ever. The last time you meet the knight in Dante must die is absolutely insane. The battles when the dogs double team you are pick bugs out of your hair worthy. This game was so intense it actually broke my joystick (off and on) which would act up in boss fights. I think I probably aged 10 years in this; but hey one's got to purge the world of demons. Double Dragon III I remember the first level being tough, especially for the first level of a game but I can't remeber how difficult the rest was. There are other games that should be here too but I have a bad memory and can't think of any right now.
HurriShane Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Driver's not a very hard game, but it's damn near impossible to beat the final level without cheating in some way.
Guest wildpegasus Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Just remembered that the original Batman game for the NES deserves a vote.
Guest converge241 Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 whats so funny about mega man 1 is that mega man 2 is ridicuosly easy compared my vote for toughest: Super Ghouls N Ghosts or Ghosts N Goblins or whichever that was called (its been a while)
Guest Spicy McHaggis Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 I know I've played some really hard games that I can't think of, but the one I'm trying to play right now is Stuntman for PS2. This game is so frustrating. I KNOW! That game is so fuckin frustrating. I don't think it's really THAT hard, but the combination of that annoying asshole talking shit when you screw up and the unbelievably long loading times that kill it for me. I lasted until stage 1 of the Bond knock-off, it might be the last movie. What's so hard is I know where/what I did wrong and what to do differently. But it takes SO LONG to load that I either forget what to do at the place I screwed up or I'll forget some other crucial part. Hopefully, the next version will cut down the loading.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 Double Dragon III I remember the first level being tough, especially for the first level of a game but I can't remeber how difficult the rest was. Yeah, but that's because I couldn't get past the first level. Double Dragon I & II were pretty easy, but III was killer. Contra III wasn't too bad. It took me about 3 weeks to beat the hardest level.
Guest WukenBloodstar Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 I beat Double Dragon in about..four months, then I started kicking ass and beating it easy..weird. Chin rules all of you.
Guest Banky Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Vice City. Only because its the only adventure/roleplaying/action game I've ever bought. I am having trouble. Fuck.
Guest treble charged Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 Has anyone ever played the Robin Hood game for NES? There's this one point in the game where you get to this giant skeleton, or something, and it's impossible to beat (or, at least it was when I was 12). I used up all my weapons on this guy and couldn't figure out what to do to kill him.

I used up all my weapons on this guy and couldn't figure out what to do to kill him. I whipped that game a long time ago. Wasn't that hard.
Guest treble charged Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 How do you get past that part, then? That was the furthest I ever got, then I just gave up.
Guest J*ingus Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 It could be one of two parts I remember from that game: 1. You can't kill the skeleton, you gotta kill the other guy/girl/whatever that's there; or 2. You gotta get some special dagger from Marian in a chapel or something, cuz it's the only weapon that hurts it.
