Guest treble charged Report post Posted March 2, 2003 I think that some of the chants directed at Billy and Chuck were edited out of taped SmackDowns, since I've been part of crowds that chanted things like 'Chucky Swallows' at Palumbo. Not exactly TV friendly.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 That's about as TV friendly as the "DVon Touched Me!" chants for Reverend DVon. The sad thing is that wasn't even the dumbest gimmick last year.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted March 2, 2003 Well, the injury can't be blamed on Orton. Report #1 Match #5: Batista and Randy Orton vs. The Dudley Boyz Two big injuries in this match. Dudleys come out and hear table chants. Bubba gets on the mic and tells Randy Orton to sit down and shut up. He says that Reading wants tables! Bubba starts with Batista and delivers German suplex, a move that he doesn’t do too often. Your basic back and forth match. Orton comes in and the Dudleyz hit a flapjack. Something went wrong because Bubba isn’t getting up and Randy Orton is really favoring his left leg. Orton battles D-von a little and then hops to his corner on his right leg and tags Batista. Orton is definitely in pain on the apron. Bubba finally gets up and goes to his corner. D-von and Batista do most of the rest of the match. Randy Orton gets off the apron and lays on the arena floor in pain. Bubba tags in and seems okay and the Dudleyz look to finish Batista. Chief Morley comes down and gets on the apron. He guillotines Bubba and Batista takes advantage of the distraction and hits the powerbomb on D-von. Batista covers for the three. Randy Orton is carried out by security and referees and is definitely in a ton of pa in. In the ring, Bubba is down. D-von helps him up. The people that carried Orton away come back and carry Bubba out. ...and report #2: Batista & Randy Orton defeated the Dudley Boyz The big news from this match is that Randy Orton got hurt. The Duds were doing their flapjack move, but, D-Von never got a hold of Randy's leg. When Randy landed he came down on his foot and appeared to hurt his ankle. This was a legit injury as I could hear him tell the trainer at ringside he was hurt. Props go out to Randy for trying to stay on the apron for the rest of the match. Batista got the pin on Bubba after Chief Morley came down to distract Bubba and Batista kicked Bubba in the face.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 The Duds were doing their flapjack move, but, D-Von never got a hold of Randy's leg. Heh...so, it's D'Von's fault. Hmmm...any guesses as to who they will be jobbing to on Raw/Heat?

Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted March 2, 2003 Oh jesus. This is Nash like. If it was televised I'd have to bust out a music video again. Shoulder: 99.4% Leg: 22% We /can/ rebuild him! We have the technology!
Guest Deebo Report post Posted March 2, 2003 If hes out for a long time, as much as I'd hate to see this, I could see him being replaced by Sean O'Haire. Because you can't have a big time stable with only one fucking guy who wrestles on a weekly basis.
Guest blah22 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 I was at the house show, Randy really blew out his knee or his quad. He tried to pull himself up unto the ring apron to try to hide the fact that he was hurt, but he was in so much pain he fell back to the floor and a few WWE officials came out to help him out. I couldn't really tell what part of his leg was hurt, but whatever it was, he is out for awhile....I feel bad for the guy after he had to come back from the shoulder injury, my friends and I made sure to give him a round of applause on the way out...poor guy, get well soon Randy
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted March 2, 2003 The match was not scheduled and added to the card at the last minute due to William Regal no-showing for unknown reasons. We will update Orton's injury status as more information comes in. Thanks to the 411 readers who attended the show and provided the above information. So is there any chance that Regal will get in trouble over this?
Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 That sucks that he got hurt but hey.. that could mean more RNN updates... i cant complain there..
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted March 2, 2003 I don't think Orton's that bad in the ring. Mr Perfect had good things to say to about him when Orton was still doing dark matches. I am surprised no-one tried to blame him for Kanyon's injury when they wrestled in a dark match a while back, despite the fact it was the way Kanyon landed after a simple move. Guest BiOHaZaRD EX Report post Posted March 2, 2003 Well, if Orton did indeed tear his quad, then Papacita has some editing to do on my sig......
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 This just keeps getting more and more interesting: "--Randy Orton's injury from last night in Reading, PA was a broken foot. Dave Batista also may have suffered a torn tricep. Both are going to be checked ASAP by Dr. James Andrews. At this point, until Andrews sees both, there are no estimates of how long either will be out of action. Both injuries happened in a match with the Dudleys. Orton was picked up wrong and thus landed wrong on a double-team flapjack. Not sure about Batista, but that injury wasn't anything noticeable to the audience. Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 The fact that Batista is the only healthy one makes the comment about how "If you wake up in the hospital one day, battered and bruised, you'll realize Evolution just passed you by." even funnier. It's hard to get injured when you never leave your feet and 90% of your offense is the clothesline. I guess he can always tear a quad. Nope, looks like he tore a tricep. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 2, 2003 If hes out for a long time, as much as I'd hate to see this, I could see him being replaced by Sean O'Haire. Because you can't have a big time stable with only one fucking guy who wrestles on a weekly basis. If you stable is HHH, Ric Flair, Batista and O'Haire, you still have NO ONE who "wrestles" on a weekly basis. Flair is the best wrestler out of these four, and the best out of the current evolution. And flair has GOT to be near three times Orton's age. That's sad. You're an asshole, since it's not angle fuck him. No, since he really, REALLY isn't any good. Big difference. I don't think Orton's that bad in the ring I direct you to the Storm/Christian match, where he blew everything he could. That match may have also been the match where he hurt himself doing his own move. "--Randy Orton's injury from last night in Reading, PA was a broken foot. Guest Banky Report post Posted March 2, 2003 When will these guys learn to lay off the steroids? Honestly, there has been so many torn quads, triceps, biceps that it is now getting ridiculous. Batista won't be any kinda star with his frame because he'll always be injured. Big guys can't wrestle how Luger, Hogan, and other steroid freaks used to. The audience is more demanding now, and simple punching and kicking won't get them over. I also find it highly ironic that everyone thought Steiner would be out after a month due to injury, when it is the younger stars dropping out before him. Guest Banky Report post Posted March 2, 2003 No the angle is completely screwed now. Triple H looks like an ass for saying these guys are the future. RAW was built around the stable, and now they are nothing. Ric Flair is the healthiest and msot capable guy in the group, and what does that say? They'll have to bring Rhyno to RAW fast now. Rhyno, Triple H, and Flair - that could be the group.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 2, 2003 This is quite interesting story...How now that this really shakes things up here...They can remain on screen characters but the group loses effect if they don't wrestle...You could easily knock one guy out of the group but not two. Are they going to bring in/elevate new talent into those spots? We're hearing SOH, Rhyno and even Jeff Hardy for these spots...I'd say they are better off just killing Evoultion now and be glad they hadn't really kicked into the stable... HHH is likely dropping the title to Booker and I'd say either he takes two months off to heal and go right back to where he was...or Start the EASY to write Super Fued with Austin and have an HUGE Main event for the first Raw PPV at KOTR. Maybe they will have to Bite the bullet and go with Steiner/Flair now...Which, 10 years ago would have been ***** but now it would comical and sad to watch... Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 2, 2003 so all members of Evolution are injuried? Isnt Darwinism great. Cripple Threat Indeed Let this stable die or get O'Haire and Nowinski to join the group soon.

King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 Shoulder: 99.4% Leg: 22% We /can/ rebuild him! We have the technology! BUT, seeing as we are runnign low on funds...I don't want to spend too much. Cut to Randy Orton running to the ring with a tennis racket for a leg and a prosphetic arm hanging from a soap dish. That'd draw some SERIOUS ratings. Oh, and as for the first 5 or 6 posts...Orton's injured, ha ha, I don't like him so I'm glad he broke his foot...man, it's funny how people's opinions change on injuries on how 'good' people are in the ring, or in thsi case how good they are comapred to the 'almightly Angle.' We've got Edge and Orton...probably two equally nice guys, and because Edge is 'better' than Orton, we should wish him well and laugh at Orton's misfortune. And it HAD to be Orton's fault, because he's screwed up moves before. WHO HASN'T? Well it's a pity I like Orton then isn't it...I guess I'm in the minority, but oh well. Saying that, the irony that this has happened to the Evolution's 'diamonds' is indescribable. And that qoute from AS was pretty damn funny. Get well soon Randy...not too soon though, we need some RNN material to fill up some time.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 2, 2003 Notice how all but three of that list are the usual hosses... Actually, the neck injuries tend to be what the workrate people suffer. The OTHER injuries on the list, with the exception of Eddy's elbow, seem to be the hosses.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 2, 2003 Get well soon Randy...not too soon though, we need some RNN material to fill up some time I would rather watch a match last longer than 3 minutes, than have injury updates. The Rock mocking them with a Million Dollar Man voice over of the slow motion sound effect would be funny as hell. 99% shoulder and 20% leg? damn boy can't you walk and chew gum at the same time and not break something? Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 2, 2003 Why are most of the posts so damn happy that the guy got hurt? Is he getting most of the hate just cause he's in an angle with HHH? I can understand laughing at Hunter or Nash, but what did Randy Orton do to piss everybody off?
