I actually like Orton and Leviathan (Batista) but they don't fit in with that kind of a group. They REALLY need to talk with Cornette about how to get Leviathan over as a monster. Having Batista and Orton in a non-wrestling capacity would do NO ONE any good. They aren't rating grabbers like Michaels was in late 97 - early 98. They should take time off, and stay off camera. When they come back, they can start fresh. The Evolution gimmick didn't exactly start the ratings on fire, so I'd scrap it and go in a different direction. Possibly Steiner/TripleH/Flair/. It would be a group that doesn't exactly send a tingle of excitement down our spines, but it would serve its purpose well. They are big enough names that they wouldn't have to wrestle, just attack people. Steiner needs a heel turn worse than Jake Roberts needs rehab. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Also, DX had allies in the New Age Outlaws who took their place in matches. The Evolution has nothing. They weren't close to as over as DX was in 98 either. Cut their loses, and move on. Shawn was a terrible draw, but people watched for Austin only in 1998. Austin is still a good draw, but he can no longer carry the show on his back. That is the big difference between 1998 and now.
