Who would be better off on another show?

Recommended Posts

A lot of people thought Chris Benoit should have been moved to RAW after Royal Rumble. Some have also thought Rob Van Dam would be better off on Smackdown, working with the Smackdown 6. Who else on either RAW or Smackdown would benefit from a change? Two I thought of...

Jeff Hardy moved to Smackdown -- I think you could put him with the cruiserweights on SD! and he'd be better off, instead of trying to do main-event style when he's smaller than everyone on RAW.

Sean O'Haire moved to RAW -- Just because it seems like all the new talent has gone to Smackdown and O'Haire is lost in the shuffle.

Any others?

Since I don't see any possible development being allowed for anyone on the RAW side...

They should put the big stars like HHH, Austin, Rock and whoever on RAW. Then put everyone with potential and Kurt Angle on the other show. I'd watch SD! for the talent and RAW for the stars. Better than hating RAW for the lack of talent and seeing the same matches every week on SD!...while the hosses take over.

Hurricane on SD: part of a killer tag team, able to wrestle his old style to an extent.

Hurricane on Raw: A pointless stint in a tag team where he was made to look completely unnecessary, depushed, jobbed out to nearly everyone, and forgotten. Yet, still over and still marketable. Finally had a killer segment with Rock, but likely just a temporary measure.

Not to point any fingers, but I think most of the wrestlers would be better off on SD.

O'Haire would not fit in on Raw as he would get overshadowed by Rock, Stone Cold and HHH, but if O'Haire joined Evolution that would be a different story.

I believe that RVD would of been better on Smackdown just because he would of been able to show what he can do without holding back, plus with Paul E booking for RVD getting a "next big thing" push.

Jeff Hardy is just a lost cause

Benoit would be good on any show no matter what, but if he was on Raw he would need a manager, just have them redo the Shane O Mac days.

I'm sure Benoit would do good on either show, but do you think he'd be closer to a World title and/or superstar status on RAW? Farther away? Or about the same?

Meltzer has argued that the only person who's been treated decisively better on RAW as compared to Smackdown is DVon, and I agree with him. He even went as far as to say that he thought there was no way that RAW could misuse Rico any worse than SD did... and they still found a way to do it.

I think he would be about the same. He would the hard working wrestler who always comes close to the World title, but never gets it. Either that, or he would fall into the abyss with pretty much everyon else on Raw.

On RAW he would be one of the first in line to get a title shot...

......

....

..

.

So HHH could beat him.

THERE I SAID IT!

If HHH loses the belt to Booker at Mania, then he would probably be better off on SmackDown.

If Rock stays on for a few months after and Austin is running around and Booker is going through the motions of being the champ, there's really nothing for him to do. He could go to SmackDown and have a fresh batch of opponents.

Good for other people, probably not, but HHH would definitely benefit from it.

Of course, ideally he'd take a few months off, heal up and then maybe the writers on Raw would have something for him to do.

What he can do without holding back? Oh you mean potato some people and blow some spots?

RVD would be better off on Smackdown, there's nothing left for him to do on Raw other than 'job to Kane', 'job to Batista', or 'feud with Jericho for the millionth time'.

I think the rosters are pretty decent the way they are now. Rico was pointless to have on RAW.

Hrricane shouldn't have moved to RAW but it does get him away from Shannon, Matt etc. He can be his own man that way.

Jeff needs to stay on RAW only because Matt and Jeff are very different characters now and its better that way. If their on the same show thats going to give writer joe blow some excuse one day when the tag titles need a big storyline or when they need a big dramatic renunion their just going to go the easy way and put Matt and Jeff back together.

They need to get out of the mindframe of them being one show. They are two different shows, I think the people should have very little to do with each other and if their going to do this thing then they need to do it right. Whats the point in having two brands if you can order the ppv and see all the guys on the same show anyway. If your going to do it, then do it right, You have what, eight, ten ppv slots? If you put guys like Maven in real feuds then they won't have to just feud on RAW and Heat over and over until they get on a ppv and no one rembmers why their feuding anyway. I like the idea of the RAW and Smackdown brands having differnt ppvs.

If everyone is calling for Gerwitz head what better way to get it then wait for him to score a .5 buyrate. He'll be gone so fast it's not even funny and once Rock leaves thats gonna make SCSA and HHH the big stars and those two don't work well together IMO. RAW's going to the shitter unless they push Jericho,Storm,RVD, and Booker as the new main eventers.

Look at Smackdown they have Angle,Brock,Edge,Benoit,Hass,Shelton, all those guys main eventing. Who does RAW having main eventing? HHH,Steiner,HBK, two guys who shouldn't even be wrestling and another guy that needs to be put into place badly. RAW has some GREAT talent if they push it right. Even some good mid carders, Maven, Gold Dust, Batista, Orton, Christian, Hurricane, Trish, Jazz, Molly, Bubba Ray they would make up a damn good mid and lower card if paired right.

Well RVD is best when he is wrestling somebody who knows his style some one like Lance Storm or Jeff Hardy, some one willing to go through the CW spots of sweep kick, jump, high kick, duck, drop kick then the stand off. Only Storm and Hardy know how not to get potatoed on Raw while on Smackdown there are several midcard Cruiser Weights that can learn to avoid being potatoed. Since RVD will never get to the top then have feuding with Mattitude, Kidman, Noble, FBI or any high flyers willing to take a risk.

You know RVD vs Ortan would of been fun to watch just to see the train wreck happen, odds are that Ortan would break his arm trying an arm drag!!!! lol

Besides Paul E knows how to showcase RVD in a good light, and down playing his weak parts. You know injuring the opponets and getting winded early.

I think William Regal might be better off on Smackdown. His mat-based style would work better with guys like Benoit, Guerrero, Lesnar, Team Angle, etc.

RVD would do better on Smackdown since Paul E.(when he was booking) would know what to do with him.
