Guest Choken One Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 I was just thinking to myself last night while watching Vengeance 2001 how Angle has managed to go pretty injury-free in his WWE career so far. So much for that. Fuck. If you really look at it...Jericho has been Injury FREE his entire career...and he's taken an equal amount of risk for an longer time.. SHIT! I fucking Cursed him! I meant to say ALBERT has gone injury free man...
Guest Lightning Flik Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Geez, you'd think we were talking about the Rock instead of Brock. Kahran, while Brock wouldn't out-pop Austin, if you go the "mutual respect" road with both men getting increasingly brutal equally then neitherman has to turn heel. They can both be faces with Austin getting a slightly better reaction. I thought it was said in the Bible of Wrestling "thou shalt not put on a face vs face match as it never seemingly works out right, as one face shall end up being booed."
Guest HartFan86 Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Yikes...Angle getting hurt before Mania is so not cool. They just need to keep him the fuck off the road until the match. Do an angle where Angle's contract states he has no title defenses and/or matches til Mania, and they can tape video from his house of him cutting promos on Brock or whatever. Just get him away from the ring until March 30.

Perhaps at the match itself, but during the build it usually works out okay. The only face/face matches that one guy didn't get booed for that I know of are: Hogan/Warrior and Bret/Shawn WM 12

Actually, Jericho's probably the only guy on Raw who hasn't really been battered up severely, and that's kinda scary considering he's been pushed back to midcard yet again.
Guest Human Fly Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 If Angle can't go I see no reason why the WWE won't get Goldberg in. When they possibly find out if Angle can't go I see them going into 24 hour negotiations with Goldberg and get him on the next Smackdown. As for not facing Brock they would probably try and work some kind of compromise with him. Maybe a title tournament where Brock gets screwed in the first or second round. Goldberg wins it and then loses to Brock at Summerslam.

Seeing as I've only been a smark for a year now, and I wanna make sure I don't make a mistake and revert to old markdom on a particular subject.
Guest Choken One Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Did You just say GOLDBERG WINS a fucking title tourny? Go slap yourself 35 times with a scolding hot iron...

Guest FeArHaVoC Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 I don't mean to point a finger But, But, Angle was working with Benoit in South Africa! First Edge, Now Angle REVENGE OF THE VANILLA MIDGET! (Hides)

Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 I thought Angle injured Edge, not Benoit.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Don't forget, Kevin Nash is in Fantastic Shape. Maybe he could replace... Errr, I'll stop there.

Guest nikowwf Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Did u see the update? They are already backing off the story. They can later say - SEE ANGLE TOUGHED IT OUT AND MADE IT TO MANIA regardless of if he is hurt now or not. I'm thinking this is a non-story. niko
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Brock v Goldberg??? If Angle can't go who else is he going to face?
Guest Anglesault Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Fuck. Okay. I'm looking at the bright side of this. Damnit. It's here somewhere. maybe Angle will forfeit the belt and not get further humiliated by brock. Nah, that won't happen.
Guest Austin3164life Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 I think everyone is panicking a little too much with this information. Just because one site comes out with some news, it doesn't mean anything definitive. Angle could be wrestling with pain, and if he is, all he has to do is just not work until WM. To keep the hype, have Angle belt and chair shot Brock a bunch of times (perhaps kill Brock's ankle with a chair).

Guest wwF1587 Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 OMG, this company just doesnt get a FN break... So now you got Angle and Edge injured.. which on the SD! side means only more hosses will be pushed.. the rock is leavin in about a month or so again which won't help RAW... Nash is coming back "in great shape".. and ANGLE COULD BE INJURED DAMNIT!! NOO!! NO DAMNIT! NO!.... if there's a wrestling GOD.. Please dont let it be serious..
Guest commie_050 Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 The Torch has it now: Kurt Angle, while wrestling in South Africa this past weekend, began experiencing numbness in his arm and other symptoms of neck problems. He is going to get his neck examined, but at this point there is fear he may need the same surgery Edge is having and could also miss around a year of action. He apparently wrestled his matches on the tour this weekend despite encouragement from fellow wrestlers while on tour to take some time off until his situation was checked out. His match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania is in question right now. Fuck, fuck, fuck fuckety fuck fuck fuck
Guest Banky Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Every time a WWE wrestler has had tests done on their neck it has been serious. They never fucking learn. Quit the chair shots and the ridiculous amounts of German suplexes. Its not necessary, and it slowly cripples the wrestlers.
Guest the pinjockey Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 began experiencing numbness in his arm and other symptoms of neck problems. Isn't this a line basically taken straight from Rhyno's interview about how his neck problems occured? That is not instilling too much confidence in me for Angle's immediate health.
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 If Angles' neck injury is as bad as Edge's, then no way will they do something physical to explain it. They wouldn't even risk anyone touching Edge to explain his absence, and he's not even a main eventer.

Guest Anglesault Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 DAMNIT! DAMNIT! He could have left in November, not missed anything, have a shot for the Olympics, and not gotten injured. Stupid loyal Kurt.
Guest Banky Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 DAMNIT! DAMNIT! He could have left in November, not missed anything, have a shot for the Olympics, and not gotten injured. Stupid loyal Kurt. Meltzer confirms that Angle may have re-agrivated his 95 Olympics neck injury. Time to push Cena hard.
Guest HartFan86 Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Angle could be out for a year.....just when the WWE shows the slightest flinch of turning around, this happens. If this doesn't get people depressed, I have no idea what will. This just plan sucks. They better do something quick about the Mania main event....they can't go too long promoting Angle/Lesnar if Angle is fucked.
