Guest bob_barron Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 He apparently wrestled his matches on the tour this weekend despite encouragement from fellow wrestlers while on tour to take some time off until his situation was checked out. They're morons for letting him wrestle
Guest Anglesault Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 DAMNIT! DAMNIT! He could have left in November, not missed anything, have a shot for the Olympics, and not gotten injured. Stupid loyal Kurt. Meltzer confirms that Angle may have re-agrivated his 95 Olympics neck injury. Time to push Cena hard. I don't know if cena is the answer right now. I don't know who is though. You HAD to stay Kurt, didn't you. At least if would have been a productive year and a half off if he left.
Guest HartFan86 Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Okay, here's my backup plan. Tonight on Raw, have Rock/Austin confrontation, Austin challenges for Mania (very similiar to Rock/Hogan confrontation from last year), Rock simply says "No", and leaves for the evening. Austin starts a program with.....who the fuck knows. Move Rock to SD, have him beat Angle on SD for the title in a squash (Don't ask how the fuck they will explain it, but it's logical) and do Rock/Brock at Mania. Edit: If they call pull it off, Do Austin/Goldberg...but I sincerely don't see that happening at all. And you can't do Brock/Austin cause the fans will boo Austin. Edit 2: Then again, it would make a lot of sense if Austin/Brock happened. Austin says tonight his contract isn't with Raw, it's with SD (he either signed while he was gone or his stipulation match with Ric Flair before he left included having control if he walked out about what brand he returned to or something stupid like that, but at least an explanation). Rock can go to.....Goldberg if they do it. Angle comes out in a neckbrace, says he's hurt from S. Africa tour, and is going to rest up til Mania....Austin comes out, says when he signed with SD, he got a title shot in his contract, KICK WHAM SUPER SAFE DONT HURT KURT ANYMORE WHAT? I SAID DONT HURT KURT ANYMORE stunner, Austin/Brock at Mania.
Guest the pinjockey Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Send Jericho to SD and let him reprise his Greenberg type angle with Brock. I can't think of any other heels that are even close yet. Cena is not there yet he needs a big win over someone before being moved up into the MEs.

Haha, I am just trying to console you.

I'll help you through it, and help you see the ways of Cena.
Guest Brian Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Maybe they could actually pull off the Mania match, have Brock turn and injure him (long shot but it'll build for a comeback), and work the way back to Mania with Brock having held the title for almost the entire year (maybe a short Benoit reign).
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 oK then if Angle is out for a year....then EXACTLY what the Hell does the WWE do with the World Championship?
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Assuming Angle is injured, wouldn't they simply award Brock the WWE Championship on the basis of being the number one contender? Of course, this is WWE we're talking about...
Guest bob_barron Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 wouldn't they simply award Brock the WWE Championship on the basis of being the number one contender? That's retarded- just do a tournament

Of course, this is WWE we're talking about... Valid point and it does make sense if they do that, but how do you explain Brock vs. ??? at Mania? I suppose my scenario with Austin getting a title shot in his SD contract COULD work if they do that.
Guest tpww7 Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Fuck, Fuck, Fuck, Fuck.......................
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 wouldn't they simply award Brock the WWE Championship on the basis of being the number one contender? That's retarded- just do a tournament ...explain to me how that is retarded? Brock won the #1 contendership over fourteen other members of SmackDown, as well as fifteen members of Raw, at the Royal Rumble. So it makes perfect sense that, as the number one contender, he would be awarded the title if the champion was unable to perform.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 DAMNIT! Why couldn't they take Albert instead? As you can see, I'm not yet over it.
Zetterberg is God Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 DAMNIT! Why couldn't they take Albert instead? That's what is making me very angry. People like Angle and Edge can be injured and the real "superstars" (A-Train, Bill DeMott) get to have injury free careers.

Look at Triple H. They should do a 8 or 16 man tournament not just hand the belt off like a prop
Guest Rob Edwards Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 A tourny would be the way to go if Angle really can't drop the title, just build someone like Rhyno up as a killer during the tourny
Guest The Superstar Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 DAMNIT! Why couldn't they take Albert instead? Because Albert can work the WWE Style~
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 You know, I think I figured out what will happen, but I don't think anyone will like it, but it makes the most sense out of any other possible scenario. Heyman will convince Angle that due to his injury (don't know how'll they'll explain it)he should give the Title to Big Show and have Big Show wrestle Lesnar at Mania. *quietly backs away from the keyboard and jumps off the nearest cliff for suggesting such a thing*
Guest candie45 Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 Fuck. I still can't fucking believe this. Well, if he is out for a year, we know 2 'surprise' entrants for the Rumble. I predict Angle as the 2004 Royal Rumble winner.

Makes sense, but doesn't make sense....if that makes sense.
Guest Ronixis Posted March 3, 2003 Report Posted March 3, 2003 This is extremely bad. In more ways than one. First- Angle and Edge are going to out for a year. They took RVD and Jericho to RAW where Jericho is the only good heel and RVD doesnt do anything there. Its them to trade Albert and 5 others to Raw for the Womans Division, Huricane, RVD and Jericho. Cause they dont do this, Smackdown is in deep shit. For Mania- Have a tourney for the Title. Period. Winner faces Lesnar. Period. For Kurt, I wish him the best if this true.
Guest ViciousFish Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 Personally I like the Jericho idea. The Greenberg stuff was the shit. Although a 8 man tourny over 2 weeks with the final at Wrestlemania would be cool. It would be even cooler in 1 week but 6 matches for one title seems like too many for one episode of Smackdown.
Guest Quik Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 Obviously, there is something very wrong with thngs in the WWE to cause so many injuries. Perhaps ring materials were cut back on? There's something pretty fucked up going on here...
Guest DawnBTVS Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 I blame HHH's water spitting...it intimidates the wrestlers too much and they get injured as a result.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 . Perhaps ring materials were cut back on? Oh, if they decided to save money by cutting back on ring materials while continuing to employ Test, I am SO driving up to Titan Towers.
Guest JMA Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 They'll probably just have Benoit and Lesnar corner and "injure" Angle (revenge for Edge).
Guest Brian Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 If you want someone to blame, just remember who was tossing out the matches on free TV with no thought for how anyone would be elevated from them.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 How come Goldberg has refused to face Lesnar?
