EL DANDY~! Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 I'm watching Joe Dirt, and I swear to GAWD that Duke is that guy that Joe works with at the oil refinery. Anyone confirm this?
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted March 4, 2003 Report Posted March 4, 2003 It isn't. I believe the guy you are referring to is named Greg Martin according to the imdb and the film isn't listed under Mike Droese's filmography. Duke was probably one of the better guys the WWF had at that time, but was never really given a chance after the whole "wrestler's with day jobs" schtick blew up in Vince's face. He could easily be on RAW today.
EL DANDY~! Posted March 5, 2003 Author Report Posted March 5, 2003 Cuz he was a SPITTIN IMAGE FOR Droese. That would have been sweet if he was, though...

EL DANDY~! Posted March 5, 2003 Author Report Posted March 5, 2003 Cuz life's a garden...dig it. No really, it's not that bad of a movie.
Guest RepoMan Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 I some what of a mark for Duke back in the day, can't remember weither he was a good worker or not.
LaParkaYourCar Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 I've seen Joe Dirt and was pleasantly surprised with it. It wasn't what I thought it would be.
Guest nWoScorpion Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 He was trained by Kowalski i think, so he is either the same or better then Triple H wrestling wise. Only difference is Duke would do moves that didnt concern his knee.
Guest Tod deKindes Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 I remember marking out for some reason, when he found a 100$ bill in his trash can.
